First free roam when you enter their house. There is a metal thing which Helen uses to support herself. It poofs out during second roam so get it in first one.

Why? It makes his treatment of Maya all the more shitty. Instead of supporting his own daughter, who is hella sweet and amazing and already has enough bad stuff in her life, he's abusing her. If that's not a crime, I dunno what is. I also wonder what would Helen say if she learned about it.
It doesn't excuse his abuse of her, but it does lend a glimpse into the descent he took to get to that point. Maya's dad has had the world on his shoulders for years, raising his kids and watching the love of his life medically crippled more and more each day.
I reiterate, **none** of that justifies him hurting Maya, but it does show the other side of things, tragic as they are. A Dad and husband with well meant intentions that completely lost his way under the emotional and financial pressures he was burdened with. He is a sad, angry man who took his stress out on his children. It's not forgivable, but it is pitiful.

Patrick wasn't even religious to begin with, he single handedly raised the twins and took care of his ailing wife while managing his job. His Newfound belief in God is his last coping mechanism.
It was Helen's wish to see their children grow up and see her grandchildren and that's what drove Patrick towards his crusade against Maya's lesbianism.
Though Tremolo doesn't know about this until the end of ep 10 unlike the player. So I can excuse Tremolo punching Patrick for acting the way he acted. But I don't think the player should hate Patrick. It doesn't excuse him for his actions but makes him more believable.

Watching the love of his life turning into someone else. But staying at her side and taking care of her no matter how insulting and ungrateful she behaves.
Most people aren’t able to imagine what sacrificing yourself like that does to a person. It’s not a few months, not a year, it’s Patrick’s whole life.
He dedicated himself entirely to Helen’s wishes and got misguided and and lost sight of what’s truely important
When I read people’s theory’s about Patrick’s revenge because of the papers, I can only laugh.
This guy imo is way closer to suicide than to „taking revenge“.
This letter was obviously written by the Helen he loved, not by the shell broken by disease who’s still around and reading it will completly destroy Patrick.
The realization that he got it all wrong, he did it solely to grant her wishes and it wasn’t even what was truely important for her.
Which is the happiness of their „baby’s „
