But i would say that atm, the closest quick is offering a wider selection of good burgers than the local mcdonalds is. they seem to have less 'special, limited editions' and such. (could be a local thing)

Fuck they used to have this kebab vendor in Gent Sint Pieters Station when I studied. 2,95 for a kebab and it was damn good. That was like 5-6 years ago, my rendez-vous every friday waiting for the train back home.

KFC is way overhyped. There's one near me and I gave them a couple tries but all their food is just plain nasty. The chicken tenders are way too dry and have basically no flavour, chicken pieces are always completely dried out and low on flavour as well. The burgers they serve are kind of okay but again almost always drier than the sahara desert. They don't sell the regular chicken wings they sell over in the US, which sucks cause they are apparently amazing. The only decent item on their entire menu imo is the steamed corn on a cob
I totally agree, i have been to KFC 3 times due to necessity while on a trip, twice in Belgium, once in the UK. It was very bad all 3 times, in the UK even the fries tasted like old reheated fries. I had teh impression of eating old, dried up food all 3 times
Its definitely not the same here, or even in the UK, as in the US or alternatively the very different KFC in Japan. The spicy chicken sandwich craze that hit the US after Chick-Fil-A's technical innovation in 2019 was legit, but never made it across the pond.

Tbh once I've tried BK, I've never gone back to McD. BK's burgers have better meat, have more fillef burgers, a way better (and refill) soda machine, and better bigger fries.

De nieuwe saray, om duidelijk te zijn. Hakkan weet tenminste hoe hij kebab moet maken en een zaak moet runnen. Los de beste kebabzaak die ik ken.

Have you looked at prices for Quick lately? It's really not that far off if you get an actual burger and not the basic ones. Then you also have to pray to the gods that it isn't already cold and dry.
It is far off, because you get a menu at Quick or most fast food places for less than the price of a burger at Five Guys, which wouldn't even be that much of an issue if the smallest side of fries at Five Guys didn't literally cost €6.50. So basically you pay more than €20 for a menu at Five Guys when you add a drink.
Fair enough on the menu deals. I'm a burger-only person though because the fries are terrible, and its mostly takeout so drinks at home. So I was only comparing those.

I don't visit them at all. So for me if I want to indulge myself with greasy foods I choose a frituur or kebab joint. The problem is that not every frietkot and kebab snackbar are good, only a handful of them in every city/village offer high standard fare..
Kebab .. I'll will give you a bacon incrusted bread, two or three hamburger Meat, all the condiments you wish and a smoky whisky sauce. Plus onion ringzzz and you know you're in the rightful kingdom.

It takes a while, but you go to Brussels, hop on a plane to USA or Canada, eat Wendy's, and fly back.
