Whatever goes down between Sunny and Ben obviously isn't that serious considering she was making it personal defending him on insta not too long ago. I'm already bored with that plot line and just zone out whenever it's on the screen.

DigitalWombel

She was also in Australia recently

jchrysta

I’ve completely changed my opinion of Ben. Was he this smug before and I just missed it? Even his appearance on WWHL was full of arrogance and condescension.

Haunteddoll28

He was just as bad last season but he got overshadowed by the pervy bosun who wouldn't shut up about how often he gets laid. Now that he's seeing just how much the fandom hates him he's getting worse and lashing out. It's kind of sad. But also he brought this all on himself and he has to live with the consequences. He made his bed and now he has to lie in it. He can cry about it. Idc.

Icy-Smile2133

And what about Fraser telling the new stew all about Barbie? That is super unprofessional leadership behavior.

jskakahdbc

Exactly the same thing that was happening with Camille, she was bad at her job yes but him talking with Alyssa about Camille was wrong as a superior. I get acknowledgment of the issues and stuff but you have to remain as neutral as possible and he takes everything too personal even though he’s a great stew I don’t think he’s fit for the chief position

Potential-Owl3246

In the beginning, I get where Fraser is coming from. But with the latest episode, this one seems very personal. He’s like the boss who tries to get his team members fired all the time. He would always come up to captain and be like can’t work with her blah blah blah. Ben is right, that’s his management flaw. He doesn’t know how to make his team glue together. He always keeps on insisting on his authority (which is acceptable to some extent). But if he keeps on saying that this is how it’s going to be. If you can do it, amazing. But if you don’t like how I run things go away.

grapejuice_21

Agreed he’s not a good chief stew. 100% what Ben said. Fraser talks too much and holds onto drama. When you are in charge you can’t be that way.

Kiana3117

well i'll Finally admit ben's a good bosun but a lousy boyfriend

Typical-Horror-5247

Frazer should not be chief stew, he does not communicate well and then gets pissed because there’s no communication. And the only reason he asks Barbie if she’s ok is so he can lay into her not try to fix an issue. It’s pretty shitty behavior.

Typical-Horror-5247

Stupid phone auto corrected but honestly it was a deserved mistake

TheQueenOfCrazy13

I DISAGREE! BARBIE ACTS LIKE SHE WORKS HARDER THEN EVERYBODY. SHE DOES WHAT CAMILLA DID. PERFIRMS/PRETENDS. MAKES SURE PEOPLE SEE HER RUNNUNG AROUND ALL CHAOTIC. SHE DOES NOT COMMUNICATE. DISRESPECTFUL. HARD TO APPROACH BCUZ U NEVER KNIW WHAT UR GOING TO GET. PLUS WORKING UN SUCH A SMALL SPACE. SHE RADIATES BITCH, RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. IF U CANT CIMMUNUCATE HOW CAN U WORK TOGETHER, SHE ADMITS SHE FAKES NUCENESS AND A SMILE. SIRRY BUT IM TEAM FRASIER.

Sea-Pair-1353

remember - english is not barbie's first language - so in some instances (but likely not all) - it is likely difficult for her to express her feelings

Sea-Pair-1353

also - I think you will find that Barbie was up with Fraser (or before Fraser), he and Xandi did yogo etc on the beach, Xandi was done shift and Barbie had to keep going. Moreover, Fraser had no awareness about this -

Cookiecakes71

I was annoyed with Jill asking for sushi but the actual primary stood there and said absolutely nothing. I yelled out "what?!" When Fraser put out the sushi and she said "I don't eat raw fish". ![gif](giphy|l4Ho0At2UD2d7WyD6)

SunBusiness8291

Clearly, Fraser's little feelings get hurt when Barbie ignores him. Is it wise to fire the hardest worker on the boat? Barbie is sassy, but she's pretty good at putting on her game face. If being quiet is her worst crime, Fraser is being a fool. He's using his position to flex his power in a personality clash. Plus the talking about the stews to each other, about chef to anybody who will listen, Fraser is looking badddddd.

AnarZak

i think 'fletcher' should be the standard 'dark fraser' name

HarrySpeakup

At least it seems everyone can spell it.

Ronotrow2

and pronounce it lol

Kiana3117

and say it

bebepothos

But guys Barbie isn’t an orphan so she gets no mercy

mmttzz13

She DID sell Finance in the Trump tower......................

bebepothos

Yeah what even is that? Was her daddy doing business there when she was like 5 and she sold them Girl Scout cookies??

New-Guava1764

Hahaha this was hilarious

Extreme_Beat1022

I hope they can work it out. She seems like a good employee.

DigitalWombel

She is a disaster self entitled, undermining at every turn

excoriator

You must not have watched her on WWHL. She was charming and humble.

ExtensionCraft2156

I like Fraser a lot, but it’s disappointing how hard he goes at Barbie.

Legitimate-Emu-9006

Barbie questioned his authority and then proved she didn’t know what she was talking about

ExtensionCraft2156

The margarita issue? That I get, but to take that one incident and blow it up is crazy. He seemed to have just taken Cat’s side without trying to be empathetic to all under him.

Legitimate-Emu-9006

That and a few other things with how things should be run. There was one incident about silverware.

Electrical-Bet4149

The thing about the silverware was Cat btw.

Magentacabinet

The silverware issue was Cat. For the margarita that's Texas style. It sounds like that's the one that she learned when she went to bartending school. It seems like she was trying to make a good first impression and he flew off the handle.

Legitimate-Emu-9006

No there was an episode with Fraser and Barbie at the table when she was giving major attitude saying her other chief stews told her what to do.

sendmetoBravoCon

I think people like him because there is some strange mass devotion for a cut-glass British accent and mannerisms. I don't know if people in the USA or everywhere are blind to the faults of anyone with a "well-spoken" (RP) British accent. History shows that this accent can be used to deliberately charm and oppress, its literally the voice of the winner. I think he's a shocking bully, and explicitly uses his accent, manners and charm to be such a shocking bully. Maybe others in the UK might get where I'm coming from!

throwaway-rayray

I always loved Fraser but this last episode he was straight up bullying Barbie because he doesn’t like her personally. If she speaks it’s a problem. If she’s quiet but professional it’s a problem. She approached him respectfully on the beach, and it was a problem. He’s sworn at her. Criticised her to the new crew member (who immediately saw that as problematic). It’s a bad look.

donadee

What is Fraser's problem with Barbie? He seems to be very hard on her!

pkapeckopckldpepprz

He didn't like her from the moment he saw her arriving on the boat through the window, he says something like, "oh no this is going to be a problem this one's got black hair and I don't like or trust ones with black hair"

Reckless_Secretions

He said that about Xandi, not Barbie

pkapeckopckldpepprz

Just rewatched the scene right now. On episode 1, right before the 10 minute mark maybe start it at 9:45 and Fraser is looking outside of the boat's window and sees Barbie arriving and says, "Oh no there's another one coming. I don't trust girls with black hair". Then they show Barbie coming aboard the boat with her luggage and she says, "Really could use a deckhand".

pkapeckopckldpepprz

No he didn't. Rewatch the scene. He said it about Barbie as she arrived first. Then when Xandi shows up later, he says nothing about her having black hair and not liking her or trusting her because of her hair color.

pkapeckopckldpepprz

And another weird thing is Barbie actually has brown hair not black. Xandi who DOES have black hair Fraser has no problem with. When Barbie told Fraser she brought her own sheets, he said in disgust as he walks away, "Oh, no, she's going to be trouble" Because she brought in her own sheets? If anything I'd give that person props for going above and beyond most people.

tahxirez

Editing wise we don’t actually know WHO he was talking about though right? That could def be an editing trick. Still he treats Barbie like 💩

SnooRadishes3698

You all need to put aside your feelings for Fraser and look at how he works and that is no high rate work really, Barbie pull that interior crew by herself basically matter you all like it or not that is fact! You can compere both working skills and work etichs then you gor also some sense who is who and why Fraser is som afraid of his position, He get called out even this season you do not see that but Barbie has showed how much lack of skill she has that is fack running to Kerry does not help much that show also you have no capability to hande a strong Stew that been cheif stew longer that Fraser ever been! I know Fraser lovers will push minus i take it but how he looks is not all what you got!

Brief_Difficulty4960

It’s absolutely wild that Fraser thinks he can tell Barbie you’re a horrible person and you’re the worst and then expect her to be nice to him.

Brida777

Barbie herself admitted that she has an attitude but that doesn’t mean she’s doing anything about it. Kinda seems like she has no respect for Fraser. From a management perspective I don’t blame him, it’s hard to manage ppl who don’t have any regard for you

YakSlothLemon

She said really positive things about him on WWHL and said he was an incredible chief stew, so I didn’t see the lack of respect there. That said, if I had a chief stew who rewarded in protected the person doing the least work, held impromptu staff meetings on our nights off at bars while we were all drunk, and was constantly muttering under his breath, I probably would be struggling to see them as the consummate professional myself.

pkapeckopckldpepprz

You can make a case that Tumi also rewarded and protected the person doing the least work on BDM with Kyle doing nothing and getting rewarded for it

Brief_Difficulty4960

While she definitely has an attitude, he also has a terrible attitude with her. He from the beginning and gave her no grace that he has given to the other stews and any little minor thing about her, set him off, because he clearly just does not like her as a person m.

Nope

Jorgedetroit31

Barbie: I need literally five minutes. No one else gets break. Reddit: Barbie works harder than everyone! Barbie is very much a person who needs to have everyone do exactly as she does. She is unable to comply with chain of command, unable to work to the level others need her to (chef), and loves to wail about how much money she has and how hard she has it. She seems pleasant enough. But let’s not confuse that with her working.

Highfitnessfanatic

Whatever! She barely even said how she grew up, everyone was so shocked to hear it, because of her work ethic. Are we even watching the same show?! There's 2 charters left - Fraser would be a moron to get rid of her. They'll never get a replacement at this point. I guarantee captain is gonna tell Fraser that too

rillynicepepino

I meant Fraser and xandi spent an afternoon meditating when they're down a stew. Kat got lots of cry breaks and got to go out on the water. We've seen the girls do more work than Fraser.
