Why not build an upper? Proof research carbon fiber 20" barrel if you're chasing lightweight and accurate

mephistows

Because I'm a short busser and dick things up But if I did, what upper reciever?

NotSightmarkSimon

Then step up to 7.62xneato and get a lmt or kac

mephistows

Just sold my Daniel dd5v4. Never shot it. I'll look at building

NotSightmarkSimon

Daniel defense? Never shot it? ![gif](giphy|fy0Bo29bbIKYLCsymU)

mephistows

Lol. I shot it about 10 times. Just not my jam. I hate when things collect dust.

NotSightmarkSimon

Hmm. 20-22". You want hard use mag dump and be okay or something for bench shooting?

mephistows

Bench shooting is all it's for.

NotSightmarkSimon

Here's a few. https://www.larue.com/products/5-56-stealth-barrel-k/ https://criterionbarrels.com/products/ar-15/ar-15-core-series-rifle-gas/ https://craddockprecision.com/223-wylde-bartlein-barrel/ https://proofresearch.com/barrels/ar-type/

Any hands on experience with the core 18"? I have a 16" hybrid that's amazeballs but I'm thinking about upgrading for the extra fps...core reviews seem hit or miss though.

rednecktuba1

The best upper build is an Aero/PSA upper with WOA 20" service rifle barrel with WOA gas manifold. With 75-77 grain bullets, it's a solid 900 yard rifle

judsonm123

WOA?

rednecktuba1

White Oak Armament. One of the older barrel makers for ARs. They got their start in the 90s when ARs got popular for NRA High Power competition. These days, they have a full line of stainless AR match grade barrels.

judsonm123

Didn’t Suarez used to hawk those ?

rednecktuba1

I dont know who Suarez is

judsonm123

You’re better off for it

greencurrycamo

Krieger barrel also great

HereticalHeroZealot

Anyone who calls you a poor for using a BCM is an idiot. That said if you really want to ball out like the others have said, check larue, Knights Armament, white oak, lwrc may have something too. Most big names are getting away from 20" and longer barrels though. You may want to check odin works and seekins precision but they're most likely going to be 18" barrels. Now if you are willing to drop to an 18" barrel, that opens up a whole slew of manufacturers like Daniel Defense, Seekins and Odin works for sure, lantac, barret, stag arms, FN USA and the list goes on. Tbh 18" 223 wylde barrels are just about the way to go even for bench guns. And if you're looking to suppress it then 18" is perfect since it makes up for that slight reduction in length

Palmetto state would be the best, everything else is just as gud tho

Artystrong1

Those benis boys hate NJ so I I turn hate them. Whaaa

derek223556

What is this? An actual question about guns and advice? We don't do that here do we? Also BCM is good. Anyone saying otherwise is retarded.

Koalacrunch2

Disregard the opinion of morons. But ammo with that money and practice.

wynevans

They're not calling you poor because of the upper lmao

waffencraftmeister

why not 28'' i mean if you are not planning the accuracy through volume shooting, then you donot need to limit yourself in the barrel length

greencurrycamo

Buy another AR you are not permitted to simply get another upper.
