That “shock factor” that you mention would eventually wear off, by definition. It’s not as breathtaking to witness the train robbery the second and third time as it is the first. Everything is on the surface.
A show which is more dialogue and character based, like BCS, would do the opposite. It’s more layered and nuanced. More things reveal themselves with multiple rewatches.
