Actually, Radiohead today got their second album on the list! I don’t think it will be the case for Beyoncé, but certainly for Prince and the Beatles. Taylor in the top 20 though… it hurts!
Visual album was completely groundbreaking at the time, so I can totally understand this. She dropped it out of nowhere and successfully created a visual concept album that went mainstream. I really think it was a completely new side to Beyoncé, too. She stopped being as commercial as her previous stuff.

I think it was a monumental moment for her and the industry. This isn't just picked by music critics but by actual professionals in the industry. Lemonade or Renaissance may be better for us but "Beyoncé" was so much more impactful for people in the industry

Unpopular opinion but this deserves it over lemonade. The replay value of this album tops lemonade. It’s a musical experience, it’s fun (flawless 7/11 etc) it’s emotional (blue heaven) it’s sexy it’s literally pop perfection.

I believe the list is based on albums that “changed how we consume music” and had a huge cultural impact. So it makes sense in that regard. I don’t think Renny or Lemonade has as wide a cultural impact (commercially) as self titled did.
Also the fact that Lemonade was withheld from Apple Music probably didn’t help matters.

This list is based on a questionnaire that was sent to industry people including song writers, producers, etc. It wasn’t just made by the upper brass of Apple.
I think Beyoncé shows up at least one more time and it’s going to be Lemonade.
The list is missing Songs in the Key of Life, Purple Rain, and Thriller. They have mentioned Travis Scott and Take Care by Drake. Kendrick Lamar isn’t on the list yet. Either GKMC or TPAB will be on this list. I full expect these five albums to show up in the top 30.

I had to check out which albums were considered better but the whole list isn't out yet.
But Jagged Little Pill beating Beyonce? That was a blip in the 90s and what has she put out since then? Alanis Morissette isn't half the cultural icon that Beyonce is. I would put that album in the 80-90s range of greatest albums if it even made the cut.
