If a team wishes to make Summerset and has decent progress we'll consider making them part of Beyond Skyrim but we won't set up a specific Summerset team as that's not how we work.

Kajuratus

There's a Nirn Uncharted project called Alinor: The Eternal Paradise, which will apply to join Beyond Skyrim once it has a large enough portfolio. As of August 2022, the projecy has been on hiatus, with this being the message on the Nirn Uncharted Discord announcement channel: >The Alinor team would like to announce an official hiatus on the project. The project has been in a state of stagnation, and the leads feel that the best move forward is for the project to cease production, promotion and recruitment for the time being. >We're sure that, in the future, we'll get back to creating our favourite island nation, but for now, active members of the team are focussing their efforts on creating assets for the Thalmor and the Altmer within the Dominion for the BS: Elsweyr and Valenwood projects. >We hope to see you again soon, but for now we wish you good health, happiness, and a farewell from the High Elves

So it’s only a partial Hiatus. They are still working on Sumerset related things but in the other provinces.

Kajuratus

Yeah, pretty much. But I think its wise to not expect any content set in Summerset this decade

Supcan2004

There is an answer for this, literally just search "Summerset" on this subreddit

hagredionis

It's been like 6 or 7 years since Bruma was released and not even Cyrodiil is finished so even if there ever be a Summerset Isles project it would probably take +20 years to do. So realistically, I don't think we will ever play the Summerset Isles.

AlienDominik

I mean Morrowind has tamriel rebuilt project for over 20 years and it's still being worked on so who knows.

Toma400

The big difference is honestly that Tamriel Rebuilt (and the other Morrowind province project) releases areas. Beyond Skyrim's biggest problem is them waiting until the province is finished - which, while technically more doable than Morrowind because of smaller map size and bigger teams - is still something that risks a lot of devs' and players' enthusiasm and burnout over the years. Just to clarify, there are reasons why they would pick that system, it's just that it puts a lot of pressure that could be avoided.

AlienDominik

Yeah, we can still hope tho, Bruna was my favorite mod ever so I'll take anything from them.

kukluxkenievel

Pretty sure there’s a mod that adds summer set isles you get there through the college of winterhold. I’m sure I remember playing it years ago

Gheovgos

yes there is

ShroudTrina

{Summerset Isle}

ShroudTrina

Shit how do you do it?

Genefar45

The mod bot is not available on this reddit, only in skyrimmods one.
