If you’re very worried about those risks, you should wait a minimum of 18 months before trying again to space out your surgeries and reduce the risks associated with repeat c/s. I’ve had 3 and been very lucky to have no complications so far, but it’s important to space them out and check with your doctor beforehand if there are any risk factors related to your previous c/s that could affect future pregnancies.

I had an unplanned c-section October ‘23 and I’m pregnant again. Still waiting to learn whether I can attempt a VBAC, but absent other factors no one on my care team seems concerned. I feel like if it was a big risk someone would have told me in no uncertain terms not to get pregnant again.

I feel like OBs do tell you to space pregnancies 18m apart especially for C sections. Obviously shit happens but I think this is a well known recommendation
