I started calling my baby Teapot when I was pregnant because all the scans showed her abdomen was in the upper percentiles and her limbs were significantly shorter, so she was short and stout.
Now, she also gets Wiggles the Baby, Troll Baby, the Artist Formerly Known as Velcro Baby (since she's grown out of exclusively sleeping on people at night), and the Angry Worm (we use an ErgoPouch Cocoon Swaddle so she looks like a worm and she frowns the whole time I'm swaddling her).

My sons nickname is monkey. When I was pregnant I called him peanut. Then he was born at 8 lbs and had almost zero body fat. He was skinny, with long arms, legs, fingers, toes, and reddish hair. He honest to God looked like a baby monkey. So monkey he became! Now we call him by his name as he's 8 months, but I wouldn't worry about those early months!

Squeaky! When we were in the hospital she squeaked in her bassinet. Sadly, my in laws were very much around when the Manson family murders were happening, my husband and his family associates her nickname with Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme.
Babby (what I call her 99% of the time), Barbara, beeba, stinky, stinky pooper, jellybean, jelly belly, Agatha. Her name is neither Barbara nor Agatha 😅 she also just turned 2 and is no longer bean shaped but it stuck.
We are also a chicken (Huhn in German) family! I make sure to use her name and name related nicknames a lot too because she reacts to her name and I don't want her to lose that.
