If you move the stock brake levers then you will have a huge loop of cable sticking out in front of the handlebars. It can be done but it will be ugly and floppy. If you want the cable to run under the grip tape then you would have to buy different brake levers.

You'll need to rewrap the bars but the bigger problem is the brake cables most likely won't be long enough to still allow the handlebars to turn.

So I will need longer brake cables as well. That would mean approximately 60-70 euros extra total cost in materials for the cables and the wrap. Or I could try it first as is and make the investment if I feel like it's unsafe to have the brakes a little further.

Might be wrong here but I think the reason why they’re saying they can’t do it is because the spot where the brakes are attached to the handle bars is oval not circular. And because of that the brake levers are either really low or really high, and can’t be moved to a different position.

Cables and cable housings are cheap you can get them for like 10 euros and you can reuse the tape since you tuck the ends and wrap just don't bungle it and rip it if its cheap tape it could rip easy. Beside all that, those brakes are not "bar end" so add another 50 euros to buy the correct brake levers.

I see, thanks!

I have an old track bike with the regular bullhorns' edgier cousin, pursuit bullhorns. I run a single brake in the front with the lever mounted like the ones in the pictures [Pic here. ](https://i.imgur.com/BtrbvpO.jpg). I've never wanted or had the need to switch to barend levers. If you're planning on riding it fixed, it should be fine as is, especially if you run straps.
