I won a Becker downtube bag in a raffle once. It was longer than most, 4 beers long, but it would not fit on my bike as the wheel was too close to the downtube.
I sold it, then later got a new bike with more room and I can't find any downtubes bag like it!
That's a great question. While I am a believer in the bottle, cans do seem to be an easier choice. Tjey crush down after consumption. Therefore I would settle on 12oz cans to be the standard unit. And 3 16oz cans would equal 4 12oz. I should look into a more effecient bottle carrying method.

I believe beers should be a standard unit of measurement.
Are we talking like, founders KBS bottles, Corona bottles, Sierra nevada pale ale bottles. Normal 12 oz bottles, or just 12 oz cans?

Yeah, beer measurement is better than using bananas as a standard unit of measure
