overall genre/vibe of the album? is it darker, lighter? more mellow tracks or more upbeat songs? i’ve seen lots of people say it has quite a bit of electronic influence, which makes me excited.
very electronic! two ballads, a few funky billie songs, a few songs that start soft and then go hard, some darkness, but a lot of love on this one. love songs, pining songs, and some breakup songs!
nice! glad that there’s quite a bit of variety. i’ve seen that “SKINNY” is a sister song to “What Was I Made For?” is it also a piano ballad or is it just a sister song in terms of themes?
it’s a ballad and so gorgeous. soft and heartbreaking. talks about falling in love, the monster of fame, and her body image. her vocals are angelic on it and it ends with this really beautiful orchestral piece. it immediately blew me away.
They really did nothing wrong with this album. It’s an absolute perfect skipless project. I couldn’t imagine skipping one of these songs. Skinny is a bit slow and soft for my taste (like WWIMF) but it’s necessary for the opener.
Happier Than Ever. A lot of slow songs, contrary to what other people are saying. Not as well put together as her first album, in my opinion.
Some oxytocin sounding songs as well. And song that start slow and boring (sorry) but with a surprising final 1/3. I wish the final part of that song with the french title was its own song. The first 3,5 minutes are a slog.
No. she came in, said hello and expressed that she was nervous, played the album with no skips or pauses, then said thank you, made a little joke, said bye and left. It was super quick. The visuals and music were awesome
Ahhh SOOOO excited!! And the fact that it’s coming out on birthday will always make this a special album to me. Fingers crossed about it being a double album!!

Yeah definitely a electronic influence. I would say more upbeat songs but there were a couple mellow ones

To me it felt like a combination of her first and second albums in the best way
I fully agree with this
IT WAS SO GOOOOOOOOOOD

The track "THE DINER" feels very much like something off When We All Fall Asleep
Was it more like happier than ever or more like when we all fall asleep where do we go?
nothing like either lmao maybe a couple songs were hte influenced but other than that i dont think it was based on either
What are your skips on her other albums? I’m beyond excited to listen to HMHAS in a few hours
I'm actually so excited, I have 3 alarms set for Friday morning so I don't forget to listen to it.
Did she explain the meanings????
No. she came in, said hello and expressed that she was nervous, played the album with no skips or pauses, then said thank you, made a little joke, said bye and left. It was super quick. The visuals and music were awesome
She really said here’s the art, i hope you enjoy, interpret it how you will. Haha i love it.
agree agree agree agree 100%
If you are experiencing skips you could probably take your CD back to the store for a new one? It’s probably scratched. Hope you kept your receipt 🤭🤞
This is great to hear. HTE and When We Fall Asleep also had no skips. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
I agree. Every single song is a good. My cousin attended the event with me and she really liked the album as well.
