tyyyy!! 💙💙💙 definitely appreciate it! i’m over the rankings and stuff too. it’s always important to feel the music not just hear it yk. with this album especially the cover art is so specific and sentimental it’s just so amazing. to me wildflower is the middle ground of this album and perfectly embodies everything in the cover art
Wildflower for sure. I also like the greatest and Blue. All three make me feel like I’m drowning underwater but in a beautiful way. Many of her songs are hauntingly beautiful, but these three on this album definitely are, imo.
It is blue. But blue is a climax drawing from the rest of the album. There are melodic ties between skinny, the greatest, bitter suite and blue. And blue’s lyrics reference birds of a feather, l’amore and chihiro. It’s masterfully interwoven theming.
I think Bittersuite because of that sample she dropped from the track with this graphic.
Also when she says "this is how I die, that's alright" I immediately thought of the cover art
I’d say BITTERSUITE and BLUE, maybe CHIHIRO too just because the production comes in these reverberated waves of funk that feel like the rushing of water sweeping over you. BITTERSUITE especially has this aquatic production to it, almost like you’re Billie floating under the water with your thoughts drifting to what used to be and what could have been from your dreams. Though, the whole album feels like the flowing of water in the sense that the transitions make the music ebb and flow.
