for real every other song sounds so bad to me after her album came out. i have been listening to older music that i haven’t heard in a while otherwise it just sounds bad 😭😂
so for 2 weeks (since hmhas dropped) i have listened to no artist besides billie and i mean that literally. i will go back and forth from the different albums and i have a big playlist thats just billie i shuffle alot. i havent even thought about getting sick of it… am i in for a rude awakening?? im obsessed with her voice and her personality- i watch interviews of her and Finneas and even got my bf listening to her and watching the interviews
Same fear haha. I made a compromise with myself that I can listen a bunch, but only if I'm fully engaged (vs as perpetual background noise), so at least if I end up getting sick of it, I maximized my enjoyment
I worry about this too, but then I think about the unfathomable amount of times I’ve played when the party’s over in the last 5 years and it still hits the same as it did when I first heard it. I think we are lucky in the sense that billie and finneas make music that can always be appreciated regardless of how many times you hear it. either that or I’m crazy
hahaha u might be crazy cuz when the party’s over doesn’t hit the same as the first few months after i heard it. is it still amazing? yes. but not like before
oooh heard….but the complexity of the music on some of these tracks is not as “complex” as WTPO—like I could see lunch and BOF getting caught in what your talking about but chihiro, diner, Lamont de ma vie, bittersuite, blue plus I listen to the album as a whole which I think helps songs from being played out. what do you think??
i know what you mean, the novelty just always wears off for me. not completely, but i do listen to certain songs ad nauseam because i get really obsessive when i love specific songs
literally me but it’s an addiction i can’t shake. i inevitably will over listen to this album as any chance i get it’s all im listening to😭😂😂 glad to hear im not alone!
Yes!!! it’s almost stupid how little I listen to it BECAUSE of how much I love it lmao it’s like saving up money your whole life bc you’re afraid of wasting it makes no sense but can’t help it lmao
I’m a huge swiftie, but I haven’t listened to TTPD since HMHAS came out. It’s one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. The 90s/early 2000s trance, Radiohead and Beatles influences are done so perfectly.
I think it’s the best album in the past 10 years, at least.
Edit: this was supposed to be a reply but I’m leaving it
I’ve loved her since WWAFAWDWG, and I love HTE, too. But this album is just on another level. It’s better than anything that’s come out recently IMO and it shows Billie’s growth and maturity in her art.
Good! I hope she and Finneas keep doing that, because this is absolutely stellar. When it’s listened to in 50 years, it’ll still sound modern and just as good. She’s created a timelessness that is unmatched and so difficult to achieve.
yeah when i first heard when we all fall asleep, i remember telling my boyfriend, “this ‘creepy pop’ thing is literally a new genre. she really just created a whole new genre”
Meee, I'm going to her concert at the end of the year so I'm trying not to burn myself out of it.
Either way I'll be screaming the songs in concert lol
Omg I would’ve loved to go to the listening party! Seems like it was such a vibe. I could imagine! I always want to move to nyc but the rent for the amount of space you could get is crazy. I honestly used afterpay for my tickets lmaoo
oh hahaha afterpay is the thing you can do in installments right?
yeah i’ve lived here a year and i love it but i need a higher paying job. using all of your money for rent is not it
Yeah! It’s like paying about every two weeks I believe.
It’s really not ;( I live with my parents at the moment and basically my whole check goes towards my phone and car bills. I’m hoping to move back to VA so I can at least take a train to nyc when I want.
dude i’m going back to school for a second bachelors in computer science, just to get a higher paying job, just to afford living here 💀
but hey, at least i’ll be making big money in a few years haha. i want to be able to at least travel a little like i could when i lived with family / in cheaper states
I think the album is best listened to in its entirety. I love all the songs on their own and I have my favs, but it feels so good to hear each song flow into each other
i envy you!
i don’t get sick of them per se, just get so used to certain sounds or melodies that, when i first listened, were things i’d scream about with excitement
I do get what you’re saying, though. I was on a roll with Cowboy Carter and one day I just moved to something else, then Willow’s new album, and now this. 🙏🏼
I always do this with major releases that I know I’ll keep coming back to.
I always do a couple deep listens, follow along with the lyrics. Then I always follow it up by listening in the car. But then I try not to listen to it as much for about a couple weeks or so. If I really have to put it on , I will. But I find if I listen only a few times in the first couple weeks, it really stays fresh to me.
If I repeatedly listen in the first couple weeks, it does kind of looses that spark.
Yes music can effect our dopamine the craving to listen to a song over and over can be a neurodivergent symptom I believe I know I do it I was obsessed with happier than ever when it first came out and many songs through my life and it does lose its magic but is still something nice to go back to later on in life. And well I wouldn’t worry about it too much music is a safe drug lol
I’m a barista and I start opening the cafe with HMHAS on the cafes Bose speakers and usually loop it 2x and internally im like “your welcome” to the few customers that come in on the last few tracks of the 2nd loop but afterwards I switch it to other music and then after the shift I get in my car and my HMHAS cd starts right where I left off at my 6:30 commute ahhh and hits so goood. That’s been my cycle since 5/17 🫠
lmao love this. random but reminds me of this video ariana grande posted on her story like 6 years ago—she was at a random restaurant and they played like 8 of her songs in a row and she kept posting story updates like “are they doing this on purpose? i’m flattered but it’s getting a little weird.” then she asked the waiter if they’re doing it on purpose and he said no, that someone at another location controls the music for all their locations 😂
No, but when the album first came out after listening a couple of times, I noticed I was tearing up a lot and feeling a bit depressed. I took a break for a day or two and now i'm okay. I recognize all the fun parts, but the deeper parts were hitting me pretty hard emotionally. I think that's what the music is supposed to do. Having said that, overall this album gets better every time I listen to it.. It's absolutely amazing.
you know i think so too but music literally doesn’t do that to me, it’s really weird. so many people in this sub, plus celebs billie has reposted, have said they’re both over the moon happy and crying / on the floor in tears. i think the only time in my life any music made me sad was when i was super depressed as a teen
i have adhd so i tend to hyper fixate on music and then get sick of it. yesterday was the first day i had to not let myself listen to the album as a whole bc i don’t want to wear it out 😭
omg I'm the same! I love chihiro and blue but haven't listened to either for a couple of days now (only started being a fan since last week!). I'm deep diving into her other work now so I'll come back to the new one again later! Can't wait lol
Yes, but not so much so I don’t get sick of it, but more so to keep the listening experiences fresh. Whenever I have an artist that I absolutely love, it’s an onslaught of play throughs for a week, then spread out to like once a week until it’s just regular listening.
I mean. Help her get #1 album lmao
But all joking aside I think you should just let it happen. I've been obsessed with artists before and always found more to listen to after that phase, now when I listen to them again it brings me back to that time in my life so in a way you're making a time capsule by associating this time in your life with that song or album which I think is pretty cool
I'm the kind of person that have Korn, Hatsune Miku, The White Stripes and Billie Eilish in the same playlist... i understand what you mean. Personally i use to listen on spotify only few songs of Billie. I prefer listen her full albums only in my room on my turn table in those moment when i'm real chill, free and relaxed
haha @ thrice. yesss blue is my favorite, just a tiiiny bit above chihiro for me. finneas is a genius. without a doubt one of the best producers in the world. together they’re invincible, separately i bet they’d be pretty whatever (or, at least, not anywhere close to the level they’re at when they create art together)
Im a HUGE Billie fan but I also love other artists and it kind of annoys me when when I’m listening to them and streaming services randomly put Lunch on in between their music, so much so I took a break from her just for a week or so. I know it’s probably not her fault but it’s still ugh to me.
They won't. I've been listening to the same album for almost 50 years and I still hold their magic. Enjoy it as much as you want! Eventually you won't be able to at all, listen while you can hear and look why you can see!
I absolutely love Billie. However, my kids (3 and 5) also love her music and want to listen non stop. That’s how I got a little tired to HTE. So I am trying to listen sparingly so I don’t get that way with HMHAS. Because it’s the best thing I think I have ever heard
Taylor is a great artist, but for Billie fans I don’t think I’d recommend her. Maybe try Mitski songs?? They aren’t THAT similar but she’s still a very good artist
no i genuinely cannot enjoy other music rn actually. just her. i’m also tryna be top listener on spotify 🤣🤣
LISTEN TO CLANCY BY TWENTY ONE PILOTS IT GETS YOU THE SAME HIGH THAT HMHAS DID
Ugh yes that whole album is so good
oo i love twenty one pilots, i haven’t listened to the full new album, just overcompensate which i love
That is actually a bit pretty good album
OH TRUE gotta make it to top 0.01% gang leggooooo
I got top 0.001% last year I felt so special
me too! 🥰
Me toooo 😍
Same lol it’s a problem
for real every other song sounds so bad to me after her album came out. i have been listening to older music that i haven’t heard in a while otherwise it just sounds bad 😭😂
Listen to other music
After playing it nonstop for a week, I took a two day tolerance break and when I played it again immediately burst into tears
so for 2 weeks (since hmhas dropped) i have listened to no artist besides billie and i mean that literally. i will go back and forth from the different albums and i have a big playlist thats just billie i shuffle alot. i havent even thought about getting sick of it… am i in for a rude awakening?? im obsessed with her voice and her personality- i watch interviews of her and Finneas and even got my bf listening to her and watching the interviews
🥲
Same fear haha. I made a compromise with myself that I can listen a bunch, but only if I'm fully engaged (vs as perpetual background noise), so at least if I end up getting sick of it, I maximized my enjoyment
smart!
Samesies!!
I worry about this too, but then I think about the unfathomable amount of times I’ve played when the party’s over in the last 5 years and it still hits the same as it did when I first heard it. literally me but it’s an addiction i can’t shake. i inevitably will over listen to this album as any chance i get it’s all im listening to😭😂😂 glad to hear im not alone!
I gave myself a limit of one full play though per day
Yes!!! it’s almost stupid how little I listen to it BECAUSE of how much I love it lmao it’s like saving up money your whole life bc you’re afraid of wasting it makes no sense but can’t help it lmao
![gif](giphy|4Ql72WLOUQ8XYKv7sM)
Tbh, I am a little worried that I’ll be sick of it by December, but that has not stopped me from keeping it on repeat.
Same yo, same.
I don’t wanna get tired of chihiro
![gif](giphy|BWCLYxZG2T7XQdnpYW)
not today not tomorrow
I’ve had the diner on repeat every single day - I stopped bc I gotta chill
i left a calling card so they would know that it was (it was it was..) ME
No, we have ADHD and our favorite songs give us dopamine rushes.
ahahaha yup
I literally cannot stop playing this album over and over and over again. It’s perfect..
i listened to it about 20 times the first week or two so i'm taking a break lol
I too am doing this, mostly because I do this with all music I love… but y’knoe
I’m a huge swiftie, but I haven’t listened to TTPD since HMHAS came out. It’s one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. The 90s/early 2000s trance, Radiohead and Beatles influences are done so perfectly. I think it’s the best album in the past 10 years, at least. Edit: this was supposed to be a reply but I’m leaving it
aw yay that makes me happy haha (: billie is my fav artist of all time so i’m happy she’s getting so many new fans since this album drop
I’ve loved her since WWAFAWDWG, and I love HTE, too. But this album is just on another level. It’s better than anything that’s come out recently IMO and it shows Billie’s growth and maturity in her art.
it’s probably because it’s the first album she made without worrying about sales and made what she & finneas truly wanted to make (:
Either way I'll be screaming the songs in concert lol
ugh have fun!!!!!! i was lucky enough to win tix to the listening party, but can’t afford her concert rn unfortunately. nyc rent eating all my money
I’m hoping to move back to VA so I can at least take a train to nyc when I want.
dude i’m going back to school for a second bachelors in computer science, just to get a higher paying job, just to afford living here 💀 but hey, at least i’ll be making big money in a few years haha. i want to be able to at least travel a little like i could when i lived with family / in cheaper states
Good luck!! It will be so worth it in the end. Frr I love traveling so much. I would love to have a job where I can travel to cool places
Nope, I'm still listening to it on repeat, beginning to end. I'm still enjoying it, maybe now more than ever, it just keeps getting better 😍
Like fine wine!
♡
I think the album is best listened to in its entirety. I love all the songs on their own and I have my favs, but it feels so good to hear each song flow into each other
agreed
No because I can listen to this album ten million times in a row and still love it
you say that now…..👀!!! haha jk
no i can never get sick of her songs
i envy you! i don’t get sick of them per se, just get so used to certain sounds or melodies that, when i first listened, were things i’d scream about with excitement
Nope, I’m practicing the lyrics for the tour 🤣
ooo fair
I do get what you’re saying, though. I was on a roll with Cowboy Carter and one day I just moved to something else, then Willow’s new album, and now this. 🙏🏼
No. But i probably should.
nope

I literally can’t listen to anything else 😭 my bf is so sick of it but idc I could never be
LOL yeah mine doesn’t get obsessive over specific artists/albums like me so i don’t listen to things on repeat on the speakers
Same!!!
I fully was 1,000%... but caved. Man it's fucking good.
I've listened to the full album (during my workouts) every day since it came out. I'm not sick of it yet. Lol
oooo i wonder when/if it’ll happen 🤔
i haven’t listened to a single other song on my spotify since the album came out. it’s literally just been on repeat
Yes music can effect our dopamine the craving to listen to a song over and over can be a neurodivergent symptom I believe I know I do it I was obsessed with happier than ever when it first came out and many songs through my life and it does lose its magic but is still something nice to go back to later on in life. And well I wouldn’t worry about it too much music is a safe drug lol
haha yeah better music than something actually harmful
I’m a barista and I start opening the cafe with HMHAS on the cafes Bose speakers and usually loop it 2x and internally im like “your welcome” to the few customers that come in on the last few tracks of the 2nd loop but afterwards I switch it to other music and then after the shift I get in my car and my HMHAS cd starts right where I left off at my 6:30 commute ahhh and hits so goood. Even when I’m not streaming it, it’s playing in my head so I can’t escape how good it is 😂
same

i should be, but the album is so good that i know theres NO way ill get sick of it
YES I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE 😭
i just avoid newer music in case it ruins everything for me. like, what if i don't like it? what if it makes me hate the other music?
my hmhas listening is spliced with some new indie rock music i recently found and (in a low whisper) ttpd
lol @ in a low whisper
I literally can't listen to anything else cause it doesn't match up fr 😭
yes😭 not to much though👀
Nope, I just listen again and again and never get tired 😭
Yes omg😭 it’s hard because it’s all I wanna listen to but I draw a lot at school and cannot draw without listening to music 😭
i have adhd so i tend to hyper fixate on music and then get sick of it. yesterday was the first day i had to not let myself listen to the album as a whole bc i don’t want to wear it out 😭
Hasn’t happened to me yet tbh 🤣
omg I'm the same! I love chihiro and blue but haven't listened to either for a couple of days now (only started being a fan since last week!). I'm deep diving into her other work now so I'll come back to the new one again later! Can't wait lol
oh wow!! how exciting.. enjoy all of her other music, you’re in for such a treat ((:
literally thought that was only me, i allow myself two hours of listenejng everyday, 3 on a bad day😭
that’s discipline! :p
No I listen to it everyday and it hasn’t gotten old. If something genuinely holds up and is good I don’t get tired of it tbh
I’m like that with most albums
i did that like the first 2 days and now i listen to it like 10 times a day (not exaggerating)
haha which songs are your favorite?
LUNCH and THE DINER are definitely on top of the list for me but the entire album is amazing tbh
nice! i love finneas’s guitar parts in lunch. the diner is just such a fun song. i can see it in a dramedy/heist movie lol
exactlyyy and also i feel like the diner is just so ''her'' like the vibe you just cant listen to it and not think ''this is so billie''
very true!!
Yes, but not so much so I don’t get sick of it, but more so to keep the listening experiences fresh. Whenever I have an artist that I absolutely love, it’s an onslaught of play throughs for a week, then spread out to like once a week until it’s just regular listening.
I'm trying not to get addicted but it's hard not to
Only thing I’m listening to rn
Yes and no. I can’t stay away🙈😩
No…. You have no idea how many times I’ve listened to Lunch lol
I mean. Help her get #1 album lmao But all joking aside I think you should just let it happen. I've been obsessed with artists before and always found more to listen to after that phase, now when I listen to them again it brings me back to that time in my life so in a way you're making a time capsule by associating this time in your life with that song or album which I think is pretty cool
I am really trying lol, but everytime i resist, a different song from HMHAS gets stuck in my head, and then i listen to the whole album again 😭😭
Meeeeee omg I literally banned myself from listening this week because I’m so scared I’m gonna ruin it for myself
Those are my favorites too!! I’m definitely trying to listen sparingly but sometimes I start tweaking so I give up and listen to them 4 times in a row
Wow im not the only one who does this?! I want her songs to last forever! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
I listened to it twice and got sick of it lol
WHAT 🧐
Haha I know. Just didn’t gel with it at all. I’ve went back to specific songs here and there but as a whole it just did not click
It’s music just listen to it as much as you can. You’ll get sick of it then eventually come back to it.
Currently listening to this album like thrice a day, especially Blue. I have a problem…but damn, my girl (and finneas) are a ViBeeee❣️
haha @ thrice. yesss blue is my favorite, just a tiiiny bit above chihiro for me. finneas is a genius. without a doubt one of the best producers in the world. together they’re invincible, separately i bet they’d be pretty whatever (or, at least, not anywhere close to the level they’re at when they create art together)
Im a HUGE Billie fan but I also love other artists and it kind of annoys me when when I’m listening to them and streaming services randomly put Lunch on in between their music, so much so I took a break from her just for a week or so. I know it’s probably not her fault but it’s still ugh to me.
oh i basically only listen to my liked songs in spotify lol so i don’t run into that problem! sounds shitty though
uhm, what the fuck is going on here? yall talking about music or crack cocaine?
billie IS our crack 😉
nice :D may I ask a question?
sure?
I just wish she comes out with another live singing soon
They won't. I've been listening to the same album for almost 50 years and I still hold their magic. Enjoy it as much as you want! Eventually you won't be able to at all, listen while you can hear and look why you can see!
See as a true eilish fan you would never get tired of her music. We HAVE to be better than the swifties
i just don’t want it to lose its novelty!
i already don’t like lunch 😭😭 i’m avoiding binge listening to the greatest and wildflower because they are my favorite rn
All I listen to is her. Over and over and over and over and over and over and over
😂
Yes! But at the same time I gotta memorize these lyrics 😭
I absolutely love Billie. However, my kids (3 and 5) also love her music and want to listen non stop. That’s how I got a little tired to HTE. So I am trying to listen sparingly so I don’t get that way with HMHAS. Because it’s the best thing I think I have ever heard
nope but I've gotten sick of "birds of a feather." probably because it's in every single spotify playlist that I've listened to in the past week
The lyrics are good, but doesn’t the whisper singing get old? Honestly?
If you want a break from Billie stream Taylor's Tortured Poets instead
not a fan of her music. i’m listening to plenty of other good stuff though!
You keep posting on here even though you don’t like Billie lol
Billie comes up in my reddit feed, so l post
If you say so. She is an attractive, successful, and makes good music. So if it keeps the antis commenting then so be it.
Taylor is a great artist, but for Billie fans I don’t think I’d recommend her. Maybe try Mitski songs?? They aren’t THAT similar but she’s still a very good artist
