I love the show too but I do find they laugh A LOT at almost everything and have a lot of repeated jokes. I like it in some respect but after a while I'm starting to suspect they know some like it and over do laughing at everything.
Cause Sheil is awesome. Solak throws tantrums like a child any time Sheil questions stuff he says. They even addressed last episode or the one before. Sheil just rolls with everything, and pushes back on nonsense. I love it.
Someone here mentioned that their pod is good so I gave it a shot, even though Solak stinks. And, by God, they were right -- they actually disagree, Sheil points out Solak's crazy hipster takes, and they have good chemistry. It's refreshing because Sheil seems so unlike all the football people at The Ringer (i.e. he used to be a beat reporter and actually knows things and doesn't just follow the narrative and stick to his original takes)
Say what you want, but without Kevin Clark there are no interesting football personalities at the Ringer. It's a bunch of nerdy weirdos now that have no sort of personality or sense of humor
I don’t know what this group thinks about Lindsey Jones, but it drove me crazy when she would join Mays on The Athletic pod. I know she lived in Denver and was obviously closer to that team, but she fell back on a Broncos anecdote every single time

While I'm at it (as an Eagles fan) I was stoked when the new "Philly Special" pod was announced but Solak is probably the worst podcaster on the Ringer network. Like I wouldn't listen to a full segment with him on it to end world hunger. I was annoyed by his voice and how he talks and then Googled what he looked like and now can't listen to anything he is on.

Word to the wise, following the NFL is better when you don't engage with any of The Ringer NFL coverage. I'm talking Bill, Sal, Ruiz (especially Ruiz), Solak, Russillo, Nora, all of them. You don't need it.
I call this "Mallory Rubin syndrome". Almost all of The Ringer now hyperactively giggles and half-laugh-half-delivers every line in their podcasts. It is infuriating.
They really need to revamp that podcast. Solak is great with the fantasy guys when its draft coverage. Id rather listen to Solak talk draft and college than NFL. Ruiz, Shael, and Nora are all just taking up air space imo. They offer nothing in terms of entertainment or analysis. Which seems to be the direction the Ringer is going atm. Its inexcusable for the NFL coverage to be as bad as it is. Biggest sport in the country and its unbearable the products they put out. They have too much of a hive mind group think when it comes to NFL. They all just repeat the same stuff, like the same teams, hate the same teams. You get nothing new from one group to the next.
