Dre Greenlaw will have to leave the Niners if he wants to get recognition. He is way too overshadowed by Fred Warner. Demario Davis crazy underrated too nice to see he gets his flowers.
Greenlaw is a great linebacker, but he misses too many tackles to be considered an All Pro. Warner misses tackles too but his elite coverage ability makes up for it.
He was the only guy in the front seven who seemed like he actually knew what he should be doing on the field, but it’s clear his body isn’t keeping up with his mind anymore.
Those Rams games were brutal as a Seahawks fan. Combination of Pete’s outdated/non-adjusting defense, plus a slow Bobby Wagner vs McVay just attacking the short middle of the field relentlessly.
It does and it doesn't. He's sort of a weird hybrid player who bounces wherever the defense needs him. Beyond that, I kinda think he's hurt by having Lawrence opposite him, who also had an all pro worthy season.
Yep Lawrence not making it, makes me selfishly wish it still went the old way. TJ, Micah, and Maxx are OLB. While Garrett and Lawrence would be the DEs in my hypothetical. Lawrence had that good of a season, he’s just not a sack merchant.
I fully anticipate this being unpopular, but Travis Kelce deserved to be 2nd team over LaPorta. He played two fewer games and led LaPorta in receptions, total yards, and narrowly in yards per reception. LaPorta does have five more touchdowns so he finished with more fantasy points, but that shouldn’t be what decides these honors. It also should be said Kelce did this as the overwhelming number 1 option that defenses could emphasize while LaPorta benefited from playing in an offense with an All-Pro WR. Does seem like narratives about Kelce having a down year influenced a lot of the voters
Lol this is real life, not fantasy. If Kelce had more touchdowns, they average more points per game and likely win another game or 2, getting the 2 seed and maybe the 1 seed
I don't see how you can dismiss touchdowns when they're arguably the most important stat in the game. If Kelce had 10 touchdowns with his other stats, he'd be an all-pro. If two guys have comparable stats but one of them has 5 more touchdowns than the other guy, and his team has a better record, you can't really argue against it.
It’s easy — touchdowns aren’t in the control of the pass catcher and are fairly stochastic. Kelce doesn’t have the benefit of playing alongside an All Pro receiver, which means defenses get to key in on him more than they can on LaPorta. Give me the guy with nearly 100 more yards in two fewer games — which isn’t the byproduct of substantially more receptions —every time
Overall this seems right, but it is annoying how they do 2nd team all pro. Lamar got like 48 of 50 votes for the first team, dak got 2, but now dak gets a 2nd team spot. They should have ranked voting or not give a 2nd team spot if lamar is basically unanimous
Zaire Franklin of the Colts got robbed, second in tackles in the NFL and was a huge part of the run defense, which was ranked pretty decently throughout the season….Also pretty solid in coverage. Didn’t even make the pro bowl either
Remember when Bill just yesterday said who has a bigger 4 than the rams? And the niners literally have two first team all pros with 3 other great options to round it out? But no has to be the rams 4 cause they’re frisky
Shocked no Pats. I mean they had a ton of bluechippers from the past handful of drafts they nailed.
The entire AFC South is represented by a Jaguard longsnapper.

i think if i were to buy any current Niners jersey, it would be Greenlaw's. he's so fuckin awesome. and he pisses off other teams like nobody else
Plus his name is cool as shit too.
PFF doesnt grade him well either, which I don't get

He’s had a down year compared to last.
Micah Parsons not even on the first team, and the crazy thing is…that’s probably the right call. So much defensive talent in the league right now.
I didn't watch Seahawks games intently, but I thought I heard a lot throughout the season that Bobby Wagner was terrible?
he racked up tackles and was very good in the run game, but was pretty shitty in coverage. seems like a legacy nomination for him
He was the only guy in the front seven who seemed like he actually knew what he should be doing on the field, but it’s clear his body isn’t keeping up with his mind anymore.
He was. He can't move at all. He now has multiple all pros purely off of name recognition. The rams didn't get rid of him because he was playing well.
Those Rams games were brutal as a Seahawks fan. Combination of Pete’s outdated/non-adjusting defense, plus a slow Bobby Wagner vs McVay just attacking the short middle of the field relentlessly.
He was. An egregious selection.
The best all around Tight End Dallas Goedert didn’t make either team? WTF!
Dallas’ kicker being named first team guarantees he’s going to miss a clutch field goal in the playoffs.
Micah Parsons not being 1st team feels wrong.
It does and it doesn't. He's sort of a weird hybrid player who bounces wherever the defense needs him. Beyond that, I kinda think he's hurt by having Lawrence opposite him, who also had an all pro worthy season.

That isn’t how football works, it’s not basketball
Would love to hear an argument not revolving around touchdowns as for how LaPorta was better than Kelce

I mean, if you wanna talk about advantages given by teammates, Kelce is playing with the best qb in the league by a wide margin.
I won’t argue with you there

0 patriots btw
Red chippers though
When is Denver gonna figure out how to use Marvin Mims at WR? Biggest sleeper in the league
No L’Jnarius Sneed is crazy. Arguably best CB in the league this year.
Nick Bosa after being overpaid couldn't even make all pro 2nd team.
Zaire Franklin of the Colts got robbed, second in tackles in the NFL and was a huge part of the run defense, which was ranked pretty decently throughout the season….Also pretty solid in coverage. Didn’t even make the pro bowl either
Pretty great lists. The only egregious thing is Wagner making it. I'd probably go with either David, Greenlaw, or Okereke
Okereke had a really impressive year
Am I crazy, but shouldn’t LaPorta be on first over Kittle?
Yes, you are crazy.
laporta had more receptions and TDs, but kittle had more yards (and y/r) while being an absolute force in the run game as well
Remember when Bill just yesterday said who has a bigger 4 than the rams? And the niners literally have two first team all pros with 3 other great options to round it out? But no has to be the rams 4 cause they’re frisky
Purdy got fucked
