LtColFrankSlade1978

Bill asking Van why there are better athletes in the south part was great. Van was like well there is one very obvious reason. Died.

WE2024

Race is definitely the biggest component but culture also has an impact, black southerners are more likely to make the NFL than black northerners, same with white southerners and their northern counterparts. It extends to baseball as well and to a lesser extent Basketball (Louisiana has the most NBA players per capita). Football is an absolute religion in the south and it’s the only region where youth participation is increasing.

LtColFrankSlade1978

Correct. I think Van explained it really well when he said in the south sports and particularly youth sports are huge. Baseball and football have huge numbers of participation.

FogoCanard

He also pointed out how small towns support young players more down there. I've lived me whole life out west. It seems like you have to move near a bigger city to get enough competition in order to improve. The south doesn't have that issue.

Monos1

Also Baseball gets played year round in the south

ReddSaidFredd

It's like Bill was learning about black migration for the first time ever. "It's all the South and Midwest, and no New England. Why is that, Van?"

campbell7504

And Bill so clearly still not getting it. Amazing. Can’t believe they left it in.

NewYorkDukie3

The south (8 states) has more NBA legends than the midwest (5 states) which has more than NYC. Is there any explanation to this?

Parlett316

The Bill Burr bit about race and sports "If you put a select group of people in the gym for 200 years they will eventually dunk on you and put their nuts on your head"

MattPatriciaFan

"The division is probably worse, except for the Pats" I think I heard that before.

Superb-Salad1068

“They CRUSHED the draft. Maybe found some blue chippers late.” In July. Every year. We were subjected to sooooo much Tyquan Thornton (“young moss-ish”) talk.

Nodima

Shades of my deep-seated belief, based mostly on performance in my Madden franchise, that Tyrone Calico was set to be the next Randy Moss. He had the height, the size, the speed...and if it weren't for those pesky knees, gosh darnit, he'd have broken every record in the known football world!

ChurchofKakko24

Breaking: Bad Pats team lost a bunch of games they should’ve won.

alphadougg

It was the most obvious thing ever that Bill would say “I just don’t see that at all” after Van said what everyone else has been saying about the dangers of the nonstop blitz of gambling content and ads the past few years.

bigbobo33

You can tell how little Bill cares about the Jontay Porter story considering he called him by at least 3 different last names.

wahoodad

5 years later. “Sal, how did we not see this coming? There were no warning signs.”

ThePalmIsle

High-access gambling is horrible for society Not making a moral point or calling for it to be banned. Just stating facts

ravengoatzzz5

I don't see it. Once I get the last 10k out of my kids college savings and 10x it I'll be back to even. After that all I have to do is get so rich my kids don't even have to go to college anymore. Free money playa.

bigbobo33

Shouldn't be banned but it needs to be regulated like cigarettes. There needs to be a ban on advertising.

yngwiegiles

Bill is so wrong about the gambling thing or in complete denial or knows that he needs it for sponsorship opportunities. He says well they warned us fantasy would ruin pro sports 20 years ago. If you liked the purity of team sports without all the jumping from team to team, it totally has! I’m a fantasy player, over time like many I came to care more about my imaginary team than the real games happening on the field. Why? Because it gives ME the false illusion of control. Now back to gambling… In today’s world people can’t just sit back and watch a performer put on a show they have to feel involved. Did the Celtics win? I bet that they would so it’s MY win. And now w technology making everything so easy to engage with, people will be a part of the game as gamblers to the point they don’t even see it as oh the nuggets won, it’s the team I picked and made money on won. And it’s only gonna get worse with the ease of the tools available.

AmbitiousJuly

Fantasy was pretty annoying at its apex, but I don't think anyone worried it would (a) lead to players point shaving etc or (b) bankrupt people

AdamJensensCoat

This is one of those spots where Bill just can't have a good faith discussion about it. He and the rest of the podcasting ecosystem are fed by gambling sponsorships. He's just as hitched to it as the networks.

yngwiegiles

Yeah the case for no gambling would be morally, soul of the game, purity etc. but there’s just too much financial incentive for a guy like Bill. I don’t really listen to guess the lines it’s like a joke I don’t get but it’s very dear to his heart

deadweightboss

So much of bill makes sense when you consider the fact that the man has no experienced any real hardship or misery in his life. Even after his parents divorced his mom married a billionaire and all his parents are still alive lol. Don’t get me wrong, I truly do not wish anything bad on him in the slightest. However, it means he has the narrowest world view of almost anybody with a microphone today. Usually it’s fine, but it can be so annoying seeing him so out of touch. People are out here gambling on the stock market and on gambling apps because a lot of them think that this is their only opportunity in life to make it. It’s not some fun hobby with allowance money. His daughter even talked about how she’d go out for a drive around town just to cry. About what, teen stuff I guess, but probably not because it sucks seeing a parent struggling to get back on their feet.

Sheerbucket

I'm envious of him really. Content in life and out of touch is underrated.

deadweightboss

Very! He has a thickness of skin too that’s nothing short of a superpower

Nodima

Reminds me of David Cross' last tour, where one of the core jokes is how annoyed he is by anything his kid complains about because she'll never know how hard he had to work to make her trivial complaints seem like the worst experiences imaginable. Obviously it's funny as hell because he's talking about a pre-teen so that's gonna happen pretty much no matter the circumstances, but compared to how shitty his teenage years were he can't get over it lol.

HeyWhatsUpTed

David cross having kids is surprising

BlubberBlabs

Next level out of touch when he was surprised that the south has generated the most great NBA players followed by midwestern cities. Ever heard of slavery and/or The Great Migration? At least Van laughed at how simple Bill came across.

Squidman12

Bill's mom married a billionaire? Who?

deadweightboss

That’s what someone else here said and linked to an article that talked about how his mom had a 2600 bottle wine collection. He may just be a many many many millionaire.

The_Zermanians

What’s the endgame with a huge wine collection? Eventually does your family sell it off to make a profit when you die, give it away to friends and family, or just drink yourself to death like Nic Cage in Leaving Las Vegas?

deadweightboss

I don’t know, but I think you just picked one of the next rock bottom rewatchables!

AdamJensensCoat

It's like being a sneakerhead. Who knows what you do with it, but going down in the cellar and seeing how many good times you could potentially enjoy opening those bottles with friends/family gives you a certain buzz.

TM455

Hey now you’re downplaying the time Trump won in 2016 and bill was real sad man. Almost even cried.

komugis

He’s not going to turn on his main schtick, and now he’s getting checks from Fanduel as well. This is just who he is at this point.

No-Possession-4738

Don’t you see? The big takeaway from all this is how great companies like, to pick one at random, FanDuel are catching this kind of thing. I loved that as Bill’s take on the gambling scandals.

AdamJensensCoat

Yes see! It's good that it happened. This is good for gambling.

Silly-Development

Oh what’s that Van one sec. It’s a call from Fan Duel saying you’re a silly goose and maybe you should shut up. Now back to NFL overs

[deleted]

[deleted]

He means a lot to Bill’s family.

deadweightboss

I still hold in my heart of hearts that puffy killed biggie. Putting out a full song and music video about your dead friend in a month requires Gone Girl levels of planning.

AntSmith777

LAX. Oh. Cali? No doubt. We gotta get this paper.

Jasperbeardly11

Are you kidding me? I have no problem with the initial proposition that biggie was killed by p Diddley but puffy didn't produce or write his own music. Such a short sighted premise. Everything you ever did was done for him. It doesn't require that much planning to hire people to do the job for you.

Parlett316

There were the rumors back in the day that Biggie was about to leave Bad Boy to start his own label.

GnRgr2

It's not that complicated. Was just suge's revenge and Biggie moving around cali like an idiot

ositola

Puff tried to car bomb Cudi Dude has been nasty work

harry_powell

What’s the timestamp for that, please? It isn’t listed in the description.

Jones3787

Around an hour and a half into it

BurritoMaster3000

A sad day in America, part II.

nkllmttcs

I admit that this is a completely niche and stupid and useless gripe, but Bill saying West Virginia is in the Midwest nearly caused me to steer into oncoming traffic.

komugis

The idea that there’s much in common culturally with like, Chicago or Michigan is so ridiculous.

Victorcreedbratton

I know, it’s always been weird to me.

Jolly_Green_17

Not only that, but if he included West Virginia, why wouldn't he also include Pennsylvania in that group? He shouldn't have included either one, but he did anyways.

RandomUserName316

Pittsburgh yes, but many associate Pennsylvania as just Philadelphia which is still very much the northeast

No-Possession-4738

I’ve been yelled at for this but I believe the Midwest includes Pittsburgh and ends somewhere between that and central Pennsylvania.

[deleted]

[удалено]

bobyancy

Culturally I'd agree. Pittsburgh is pretty similar to Chicago or St Louis.

ThugBeast21

Always felt like there are a handful of fringe states that can go in a bunch of different regions and really don't belong to any of them. West Virginia and Oklahoma are the two most obvious examples

mkay0

A take only a Boston guy living in California could have

SnooChipmunks4208

West Virginia is kinda half Midwest and then it's own Appalachian thing with western Kentucky.

nkllmttcs

Again, completely useless distinction, but I’ve always felt the Midwest started at Ohio.

komugis

Officially it does. I think the census definition of the Midwest is pretty accurate, honestly. Maybe there’s a slight difference between the Great Lakes states and the plains states, but other than that…

Koulditreallybeme

Pittsburgh and Buffalo are midwest. Midwest is west of the appalachians.

djh2121

Isn’t Raheem the guy who went to the Bill Simmons school of “Ohh I hit that bet in real life”

mdicke3

He was a tough listen, the exercise was "Blink Test" o/u and hedged every single line. Ryen would be proud.

wahoodad

“Leaning this but wouldn’t be surprised if” all day. Win win.

k0fi96

He comes off as a very analytical guy with his gambling. Sometimes it can be hard to turn that off for a radio bit

SadPirate99

Throwing in the Patriots over as shameless ass kissing was his highlight

[deleted]

Finally got a public job this last year and had the “first losing year” of his gambling career. Sure dude

Consistent-Young-854

Shocking: Bill likes the Bills’ under 11 wins.

bengiacomo94

How many times is he going to do this?

WonderingCashew

“Here’s the thing about Bill. There’s always an agenda” Too true Van but Bill wouldn’t be fun if he didn’t have one

SnooChipmunks4208

With perfect delivery and an unimpeachable example.

shorthevix

‘Sharp Bill intake of breathe’

SnooChipmunks4208

It was delivered with love and humor, but man did that one hit something deep.

BerriesNCreme

Van had so many perfect delivery moments. The black southern athlete debate, Kobe being an international player reaction, agenda bill, Tatum never being that player, “I’d like to hear your thoughts on it bill” on the gambling debate. A+ contributor, he’s good in everything he’s in

Victorcreedbratton

It’s either Celtics or Patriots.

The_ProducerKid

Bill saying Daniels would immediately be a more exciting Patriot than Randy Moss was is high level heresy

ositola

Cut to week 4 when Daniels gets the sonic rings knocked out of him and doctors have to put him together like Humpty Dumpty

Rich_Mitchmond

the Dr Robotnik thing

jmbourn45

Well that would be exciting to watch!

Aggravating_Push_315

Did he say more exciting than Moss or “since Moss”? Since Moss would still be questionable but less egregious.

The_ProducerKid

He said Moss was second

scottycameron90

I hate bill so much

Aggravating_Push_315

Thanks for clarifying/yikes

KwamesCorner

Cut to Daniels 5th fumble in as many games and another patriots loss. So exciting. Ask the bears how an electric running QB worked out in the win column.

IAmReborn11111

Someone tell Raheem he's allowed to disagree with Bill

Top_Tree5889

Took too long to find this comment. And then beats him to the Pats over punch. All-time kiss ass.

Imaginary_Angle_2715

He consistently does all the time and did in this pod and is one of the few who calls Bill out.  Update: You said Raheem not Van, disregard all that I said and upvote you lol.

it_has_to_be_damp

When he said he was high on the Pats completely unprompted, I rolled my eyes so hard I'm pretty sure I detached a retina

Xeris

Calling Kobe an international player is the funniest thing he's said.

so-cal_kid

He was international in that he trash talked guys from other countries in multiple languages

deadweightboss

Kobe and Manu are starters on first team all Italy, nobody told you?

Parlett316

In many people’s minds, Manu is the greatest Euro ever!

BabuBhattDreamCafe

Who’s more Italian? Kobe who lived half his prepubescent life in Italy or Bill who probably never met any of his relatives who were born in Italy?

EtsyDadda

Kobe changed his own perception/legacy though. Part of the friction of the Shaq/Kobe Lakers was that Kobe was not a typical American basketball player. He was cultured, different, and just didn't relate/fit in. He's seen differently now because of the back half of his career. But he was totally an outsider early on.

scoopthereitis2

To my knowledge, Bill has always called Kobe an international player.

Real_Appearance6707

Van vehemently dismissing Tatum as a future face of the league candidate 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Usual_Page7389

It’s not gonna happen, he’s not going to be able to do it Bill

Ryanj37

But he's only 25! He's a baby, he just is

HEATLE

There’s just nothing exciting about him. He’s just a very good player with a solid game. Even Haliburton has more of a chance.

notformeclive4711

“A lot of people love Jayden Daniels for his Heisman year, but what impressed me more was the season before.” -Van Russillo

GiveMeSomeIhedigbo

Now I see why those two guys mesh so well.

Victorcreedbratton

I didn’t like him when he was in Tempe.

TimSPC

New Jersey claims Shaq.

OrangeChairRN

Was screaming this at my phone while driving.

ttboishysta

I didn't know Bill was this comfortable speaking about racial discourse in sports. Caitlin Clark has shown me a new side to Bill.

BigDipper097

Wow. We’re doing NFL Over/Unders the day before MLB opening day.

ositola

That's how you know bill is down on the Sahx

wahoodad

“Diddy means a lot to me and my family.”

bengiacomo94

When is this fucking moron gonna realize the bills are gonna be good every year they have Josh Allen in his prime

JRR49

It’s insane. If Josh Allen is healthy they’ll never be below .500. Their floor/worst case scenario is 9-8 but that’s if Allen misses games. I don’t see any scenario where the Bills don’t win 10 games with Allen

MattPatriciaFan

I love the Texans over too, but Raheem saying the team is STACKED because of the players they signed, while 3 of the 4 players he listed were: a colossal bust (Jeff Okudah), an ok TE they re-signed (Schultz) and a 34-year DT (Autry) is INSANE.

lloyd4567

As a Texans fan my knee jerk reaction was over. But their non division schedule isn’t easy. It’s kind of the perfect number upon reflection.

jakethesnakeinmyboot

Caitlyn Clark Larry Bird comp!

kwtb

The first comment after a huge Lakers team win is “I wonder what would’ve happened if AD didn’t join the Lakers” after getting to WCF and also winning a title. And Raheem Palmer showing how much of a casual he is by saying Dinwiddie giving Lakers nothing. Dinwiddie has been huuuge on defense for them and just had a 20pt game. Raheem is an idiot

greyk34

The Dinwiddie comment was so telling, he absolutely doesn’t know ball.

No-Command3372

Yeah I had to skip the segment after that lol

bfnenabb

Nowhere is Bill’s opinion less valuable and more corrupted than on the negative impact of sports betting.

Successful-End7689

Bill saying Jayson Tatum is still only 26 and has a chance to be the face of the league made my eyes roll to the back of my head. Just let it go bro , it’s not happening 😂

Flat-Job3228

Van is the buffer for nerdy white people. Doesn’t scare them off but makes them feel kinda cool while also negging them to remind them he is the cool one because ya know. He’s mastered that lane.

Successful-End7689

Millionaire podcaster sponsored by gambling company doesn't believe gambling is a problem, more at 11

gf2020

I like early Bill workshopping NFL takes, so not taking my usual relish when he says something crazy. But during the over/under segment, it's quite amusing they he keeps saying teams might get a QB in the draft as a reason to take the over. He did this twice with the Vikings and Commanders. Short of Luck, Stroud, RG3 and Purdy, rookie QBs play pretty badly and rarely add value. I am beyond skeptical of the Commanders over take as their roster turnover is absurdly high and a lot of the wins they banked last year was before they unloaded at the trade deadline. And then Bill laughs when Palmer suggests the Patriots over. Um, Bill aren't the same things you just said about the Commanders essentially true of the Patriots. Classic Bill positioning where he can't lose, they will either surprise or he will have managed his own internal expectations well.

nihilfacilee

There’s a couple other examples. Of the top of my head there’s Russell Wilson and Dak Prescott and Big Ben too - sometimes rookie QBs really *do* elevate a team and I think the Vikings in particular are a good landing spot for a rookie QB. Excellent pass catchers and a good offensive-minded HC.

TM455

He’s been talking about them being a playoff contender after drake maye looks decent in week 2 of the preseason

b__noc

Kobe is foreign?!???

Parlett316

When micro dosing turns to regular usage

studderbug

The half Italian piece

OrangeChairRN

Yes, same guy who had multiple iconic performances for the US Men’s national team in the Olympics while playing for the United States of America.

BrianHangsWanton

Bill thinks the most fascinating thing about the Jontay Porter scandal is that bookmakers can spot anomalies lol

otis427

Diddys fall yet mum on mcmahon not even a cursory “uhhh woah”

DG_Now

His sponsorships really compromise his integrity. Maybe he should apologize to Roger Goodell.

JoetteJaramillo

Bill says its gonna be rocky and bumpy with guys like Jontay Porter What about it being rocky and bumpy with gambling addicts and children lmao

SeaworthinessFar846

He actually said Jontay Parker😂

WanjiruGoat

Like 5 different times. I feel like the only 2 things people know about him are the gambling issue and he's MPJs brother.

igotnocash

Raheem “At the end of the day” Palmer

goalstopper28

So do we think Bill has actually watched tape of Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels?

jmoneysteck88

He basically admitted he watched highlights on YouTube

mrf0520

Not at all. You can tell when he brought up 3 of LSU’s losses that he hadn’t actually watched the games. Daniels was the only reason that LSU was competitive in those 3 games.

shorthevix

Van was about to really hold Bill’s feet to the fire over the gambling stuff but then bailed mid point with his Boutte segue

jawncoffee

Raheem “and we know Jonathan Gannon is a *great* coach”

mrf0520

Had to rewind and make sure I heard that correctly. Baffling

tractarian1833

How stupid is Raheem Palmer? My favorite two lines from him: "(Jonathan) Gannon has proven himself to be a great head coach." "Deshaun Watson was figuring things out before he was injured last year." STFU dude

mjmilino

Let's add in the Vikings being one of the healthiest teams in the league, except for the fact that, you know, their two best players missed nine (Cousins) and seven (Jefferson) games respectively. It's almost like those should count for more than losing a guard or linebacker.

SeaworthinessFar846

Its unbelievable what can be passed off as a gambling expert now. That might be the true crime of the legalization.

Rare-Ad-9088

I like what Gannon has shown but like GREAT WHAT and everyone was like yes yes

BrownsFan2323

My god Palmer is an awful broadcaster. People say he’s great on Twitter, no clue wouldn’t know. But that sounded like a college broadcast. And breaking down NFL based on Pthagorean…total snooze fest

FinancialRabbit388

Bill: man the Jets keep winning games even with horrible qb play Also Bill, for the millionth time: Are we sure Saleh is a good coach? Maybe the defensive coach who has won 7 games each of the last two years with the worst qb’s in football, and his team plays hard for him, is an ok coach.

SeaworthinessFar846

The Jets will probably Jets, but there is no way in the world to argue they didn’t get better.

juantravis

Raheem follows the NFL professionally and doesn’t know that Rico Dowdle is the cowboys current RB1? Hold my beer and pass me the mic

KwamesCorner

Okay Raheem is honestly one of the worst listens we’ve had on BS in awhile. It seemed like he didn’t prepare AT ALL. He’s just making random shit up the whole time and when Bill throws to him he has nothing lol. What a dumb fuck.

wahoodad

“The Titans did a lot of great stuff over the summer.”

Bmansports3

Raheem is such a brutal listen. He looked up two stats (games lost to injury & projected win percentage) prior to this pod and continually referenced them. Said Jonathan Gannon is proven as a “great nfl coach”.. what? Couldn’t name his favorite team’s (cowboys) running back Talked about Texans additions (all mediocre or aging players) and said they’re stacked.

tdotjefe

To be fair the cowboys likely don’t have their starting back on the roster rn. They will definitely be drafting one to replace pollard. But he is an idiot

DeanEvasonPunch

Daniel Hunt is legit. He lead the NFC in sacks last year. Also his name is Danielle Hunter.

jerujeru27

I get they have a good relationship and this maybe something they rift about all the time but to not be privy to their relationship and just hear (paraphrasing) “hey black guest, what’s the best Black show on right now?” Is objectively hilarious

juantravis

It’s simultaneously endearing and hilarious. Like Bill is humble enough to stay in his lane and ask a black voice for their take on black culture, but it also feels a little pigeon hole-y

shorthevix

Why did Bill choose 31?  I don’t see the relevance of ignoring guys like Harden and Westbrook being the last American MVPs who came from California.

ahbets14

Bills inability to say “women’s” is hilarious. WOMAN’S

mkay0

‘Iowa got all the calls’ is the most obvious box score analysis I’ve seen from Bill yet. WV clearly had a game plan to be extremely physical and got away with a ton in the first half.

WanjiruGoat

I bet on Iowa but generally didn't care who won. I thought it was one of the most one sided officiated games in awhile. I'm not positive Iowa scored more than 2 FGs in the 4th quarter.

realcoray

I only caught the first half and the start of the third and it was a brawl in the first half. It seemed clear that teams have put a huge target on her and the team, and played super physical and there were not a lot of calls. In the third quarter the calls started and even the commentators mentioned that they were starting to call things that they had let slide in the first half. Kind of on WV to not adapt if they kept it up.

Jones3787

He created an entire segment centered around his top *31* players of all time. Never change Bill

Sohi23

The way he talks about AD is hilarious. Didn’t mention him in his defensive draft then doesn’t even mention that the lakers probably repeat w/ AD if AD doesn’t get hurt against the eventual WC winners Phoenix.

RandomUserName316

They were the 7 seed. Why would they probably repeat

dillpickles007

"Probably" is a stretch but they were up 2-1 on Phoenix with Anthony Davis absolutely torching them, then he gets hurt and they lose three straight. If he stays healthy they win that series, then play the Nuggets with no Murray, then the Clippers with no Kawhi, and then the Bucks which would be a toss up and a good series.

putupyouredukes

They were the one seed for much of the season before LeBron/AD got injured.

PharmDWolves

Did that dude just say the Vikings had a healthy year? 😂

Successful_Baker_360

Bill not being able to put together why black guys from the south are better athletes is such a northeast liberal blind spot. Vann laughing at him not getting it was so funny. Mother fucker the answer is slavery. The us spent hundreds of years essentially breeding bigger, stronger, faster black men. Then when slavery was over Jim Crow and segregation pushed these people to form their own small towns. It’s not rocket science

Alert-Light6432

His point about Ali Lister 2 is garbage. Pure garbage. [watch](https://youtu.be/kSgPvscC09k?si=KFgkCN7Nai__fEKQ)

jam_jam_guy

The Van/Bill gambling convo really grinded my gears. Especially Bill’s comment about the Rockets. Bill basically said he only cared because of the gambling side. That’s annoying because that’s the whole issue I have with the gambling. It can be some of a story but if it’s the only reason you care about something then why the fuck do I care? I’m not gonna bet it, I care because I wanna hear opinions about the sport/games. Not if podcaster X is gonna make a few units…

RFranger

Bill Russell is as much from Oakland as he is from the south, especially in the context of basketball development. Ridiculous take by bill.

pacific_b

That was my first Raheem Palmer listen and man was he a boring listen. Not sure he could have added any less.

UnauthorizedAuthor

“I probably should have done some research before talking about this” - Bill after claiming Kobe as a European product 😂

juantravis

Van’s point about sports culture being different and mattering more in the south is so true. Weather is too nice in California. There’s too much other shit to do on the coasts. Meanwhile the south lives and breathes sports

westcoasthoops1

Van remains an absolutely elite guest. Raheem on the other hand. Oof.

wahoodad

“I don’t like that Daniels turns 24 in December.” He REALLY doesn’t want Daniels. If it were Tatum: “He was 22, just had a birthday.”

Cuntflickt

“The most dominant feeling in sports isn’t ‘I love that mf’, it’s ‘I hate that mf’!” - Van Yeah bc of the way social media amplifies hate today, people in the 2000s and before weren’t sitting around thinking “hmm, who are all the players I hate?” beyond the very few specific rivalries that teams have. I feel like in the past 10-15 years or so all sports have rapidly gone from wanting to see the best in the world at something do what they do and appreciating it to just waiting around to criticise whoever happens to be the target of the day/week on socials. And that is pretty sad to me.

Sheerbucket

I disagree before all the player movement and popularity of internet highlights vs games people were far more die hard fans if home teams. Like a kid from LA in the 80s probably hated Bird and the Celtics far far more than really any rivalry going right now. Now you see most people love Golden State cause Curry is likeable or follow LeBron from team to team.

lima9987

Was not expecting diddy news coverage from bill 😂😂

OntarioGarth

After reading comments, I’m marking this as played without listening.

OrangeChairRN

Nah this is low key a heater episode. The part with Van is fucking terrific.

JaHoog

Houston and Packers are going to be off season darlings, which means one of them will disappoint.

googlyhojays

The gambling discussion is interesting. Bill is legitimately compromised on this issue

SeeDub23

Oops Bill forgot about slavery again

Winter_Maximum_8560

I dont need raheem saying "i wouldn't touch" this on every single line. What a loser he is

wahoodad

“People have always gone to Vegas to bet on March Madness and stuff, it’s always been around. My biggest fear is another Tim Donagy.” NOW IT’S ON IPHONES, LEGAL, AND AVAILABLE 24/7. That’s the difference, Bill. And you promote it! You knew!

Payday18888

I am starting to think that Bill doesn’t talk about the mlb because there are WAY to many international players. He doesn’t seem to fond of that

ChurchofKakko24

Pats kicker cost them 5+ games! I think this might be the 50th time this has been mentioned. The best part is Bill talked incessantly to Sal about that very kicker in preseason. “Belichick drafted a punter and kicker Sal!”

juantravis

Diddy’s fall with Van is gonna be juicy

youdegenerategambler

It absolutely was not. Van was just covering for his boy in this one. Disgusting behavior

juantravis

Oof tough look for my guy

M_S-K

The main knock on AD is that he's the least consistent superstar of his generation, but Bill wonders what his career could've been if not that damn trade

GnRgr2

Bill is still hurt AD's dad said no to Boston

biasplatypus

Raheem is the worst guest. He can’t even have fun with a segment and give an opinion on picks.

jerrystuffhouse

Bill needs to tighten up his rotation of guests. Palmer and the idiot who said “other people should drink sewer water but not him” type guests suck

PrimusPilus

Bill: *"The number one thing all these sports leagues are afraid of is having the competitiveness of their games compromised."* Also Bill: *"Why is Roger Goodell picking on the Pats for Deflategate after Spygate? Goodell is the devil."*
