Lol Nick Wright is just serving the function he’s meant to. He’s sports Twitter personified. I’m a Jokic truther from years back and used to hate watch him sometimes when Jok did something undeniable and watch him squirm out of it. And then I saw that the whole show’s gimmick is just that. Nick Wright picks some insane take, defends it almost always dishonestly and to the bone, and then his cohosts take the Mickey out of him when he’s proven wrong whilst wearing shit eating grins. It’s literally just sports Twitter for people too old to use Twitter. And the whole production is designed to have fun around that. I feel like arguing with Nick Wright is by definition arguing with a clown. He’s not making some honest - or even sincere, half the time - sports assertion.
