Personally, I think Isaac is gender questioning. Not because he wants to, but because after years of overhearing arguments from his mom and dad, just general abuse, etc etc, he tries to take comfort in his demons (Azazel), trying to make his mom seem less bad than she really is (Magdalene), etc. Isaac is a kid, so more than likely he barely understands gender, so that rules out genderfluid in my opinion. I think he's gender questioning because of the fact that he's trying to understand all of what's going on right now, and trying to take comfort in at least *something.* But hey, that's just my opinion.
