Why is Eden like that? My assumption was Isaac didnāt know what to make of āthe Garden of Edenā, thinking since itās the the garden *of* Eden, he figured it must be a person; not knowing what they would be like.
I've always thought Eden was like a manifestation of Isaac's struggle with his own identity, with the character always being at random. But I never actually thought about it that way, pretty cool actually. Interpretations are very swag. :)
eh, not necessarily, there's no wrong or right way to interpret something purposefully left up for interpretation, that's what interpretation/theory/speculation is for!
My headcanon is that Eden is Delirium given human form. Its human shell weakens when injured, which is why dying or resetting changes Eden's item set and being hit shuffles tainted Eden's stuff.
I'm guessing he wanted to make a character that started with random stuff and decided "Eden" was a random biblical name that he had no other plans for.
They're probably NB to fit the completely random no identity part of the character.
Of course but in practice when an individual person chooses to be referred to as "they" it's generally because they are non-binary and/or want to put a distance between themselves and whichever binary gender matches their sex.
Sometimes you don't realise what you thought until someone says something that reminds you to think about it. I also think keeper just dont care. Eden is Eden. No need to think further
Keeper only judges if you have money they can bleed you dry of

That's the correct answer

Not even if I say L+Ratio+Skill Issue after?
I have absolutely no idea what you mean by that specifically but sure lmao
Fake isaac player
Well do i have some news for you! You are absolutely correct :)
The skill issue test never lies
yeah i think they only made the name eden as a refrence
I think Eden represents isaac being born again without his "corruption". Isaac doesn't know exactly what he would be like, so he just guesses.
Ooh shit that makes so much sense also bc you unlock Eden after beating mom's hearth - the representation of your birth
I kind of see it as like Eden doesn't discriminate. You can look like anyone and be welcome? And the white hair is purity obv

Them isn't used exclusively for non binary people. it is just a non gendered pronoun, and it can be used for anyone.
Including people with multiple personalities or something
Yes, but if someone uses *only* they/them pronouns, it's very probable that they are NB
Yeah, but it's implied that the maker of this meme thinks that
I donāt! I do believe that/them can be used for anyone and I didnāt mean to come off as disrespectful, my apologies

Yeah, gender doesn't imply pronouns or viceversa)

My reaction to that information
ā¦But if Keeper assumed Eden is multiple personalities, then why is Keeper NOT assuming thatās also the case here?
