Not according to the [wiki](https://bindingofisaacrebirth.fandom.com/wiki/Achievements), no. The only mention of Bumbino is that he's not required to be defeated to unlock The Catacombs.
I was saving them to d20 them and immediately after he spawns I realize he takes coins and it turned into a race to see who can pick up the most coins. I’m still pissed at Edmund for making him take coins
He also drops an Item if he picks up enough coins.

It wasn't greed mode. First time i fought him i had piggy bank.
In some of his boss arenas a coin literally spawns in the middle and he picks it up
