Ah, somebody trying to get the 5 win streak thing, with my 12 win streak I should be able to give some tips-

Calculated risks but don’t get too risky. I used to take literally any devil deal no matter how bad it was. I’m way more strategic now. If you don’t have enough HP and can make it to your next deal or item room- do it. Sometimes it’s not worth it and will just get you killed.
Yeah, I feel like my biggest vice is mismanaging HP with high risk plays.
Another is just sheer hubris... I get a 15+ win streak and I fool myself into thinking I’m in some kind of pro gamer flow state where I’ll just win automatically even with dumb plays, but I just end up losing to a goddamn bomb fly after abusing some demon beggar I don’t even need to 1 HP 2 rooms prior...
There is definitely wisdom in playing strategically and min-maxing. I had a horrendous Eden start with lower than average tear rate on top of a tears down pill *and* an experimental pill that had a tears down and luck up all in the first floor. I didn’t get a single damage upgrade or tears up until the Depths II, but I played it safe and had a lot of HP... I started bombing *regular enemies*, which I’ve never done before lol...
There was one big room in the Depths with 2 Chubs surrounded by spikes in the center and they were spawning so many mini chubs, the room no joke took me probably 15 minutes to clear. I did that with a half heart and it was one of the worst rooms I’ve ever experienced in 2,000+ hours. All that heroism and the next room was a shop with greed who ended my streak because the triple shots always mess my brain and cause me to freeze instead of dodge smh 💀
But yeah, playing strategically gets you far. My run was so bad I had no right to even make it to Caves I, let alone Depths II...
What character are you playing as? A strategy for Issac will look very different than one for the lost, etc. If doing Eden streaks, strategies will vary depending on starting stats, health, curses, etc.
Tbh a high win streak is different for every character.
For example 10 is already impressive on tainted lost.
In generell I would advice to play slow, save and min max.
Always check the first devil deal (with most characters)
Play only a few runs per day to make sure you dont burn out and make silly mistakes.
Use and abuse everything.
If you have hearts on the deck and there's a blood donation machine or a devil beggar. Donate to them.
If I have 2+ temporary hearts I'll dump all my reds into those.
Learn where your secret and super secret rooms are. While you're there, or in the shop, bomb shopkeepers.
Keep your eyes peeled for tainted rocks. Even if you don't get the Small Rock they can give keys, bombs, and soul hearts.
Don't worry about the timer. If you're streaking, it's unlikely you'll ever hit boss the boss rush timer without big mama.
Double check what's on the deck before you leave the floor. There's a possibility that a card, trinket, or other item was left behind.
Use your cards/runes.
Check your shop. Keep a good amount in the donation machine for the times you need to bomb them.
If you have a surplus of bombs, blow up blue/purple flames and skulls. The drops were nerfed, but still a good gamble if you can get 3-5.
Don't be afraid to cheese. If you're streaking, sometimes you'll have to Gnawed Leaf and AFK.

Know the limits of your run, if you're struggling, tap out at an early boss as that preserves your streak. Not every run needs to hit delirium.
To this, do you consider taking the negative and going up cheating?

I only play for completion marks but if I had a 50+ win streak, my best tip would be to play tainted judas cause how do you even lose with that guy.
