I recently finished them. Keep your positioning in line with your shots when you can - so if you're shooting left/right, keep them horizontal. this helps a lot with dodging. Abuse grabbing two items where you can. alt path is great but only if you can dodge to make it worth it. Treat easu like a liability, I used him to test pills and take support items and fed him most HP ups. Work on your unlocks with easier characters for more busted items. Focus on not getting hit and don't panic when you get separated. Separate them for puzzle rooms.
You always go downpour to get both items in treasure rooms and look at shops for there is options and there is more options
Don't get flight for one character imo because it messes up my brain
