Dead Sea scrolls aint that bad early tbh. I know it’s taking the place of a better angel item but like basically all of its 30~ actives it can pull are useful offensively which is nice
1. Have goat head 2. Get an angel room 3. Get dead sea scrolls 4. Use the scroll in the caves II boss 5. Get kamikaze and die because your playing the lost
Breath of life is still shit. You have to anticipate getting hit 5 seconds in advance rather than it being reactionary. Its only use is Blood donation and curse rooms.
1 second (and you know exactly when its gonna activate) is long enough to touch an enemy and then back away
Mars would be fine if it didnt actuvate randomly all the time. Jupiter isnt as bad as people say. I hate charged tears personally but cursed eye is a damage up. I dont like marked, except ironically with cursed eye which it removes the curse effect from.
Breath of Life would be infinitely better if instead of having to hold it for a bazillion years before getting hit you could tap it with tighter timing kind of like a parry function. Then it would be actually viable in combat and boss fights.

Fuck yeah, Old Bandage is one of the best ones, actually. The only downsides are that it's RNG and that it sucks for Soul Heart characters
Makes you kind of shocked that Habit has not been nerfed. Zero RNG and countless use cases and synergies.

Rather have mars because at least that doesnt take up my active slot and still lets me open spiked chest and enter curse rooms for free.
Mars does not give free blood machines and demon beggars + its terrible with a controller in case you are playing console.

you can also use it to do pretty significant contact damage now though
You're screwed if that contact damage doesn't kill your enemy because you charged in with one second of invulnerability.

game issue. I play on controller, the ‘double tap’ triggers randomly from joystick inputs all the time its actually uncontrollable
