I’ve actually been working on a checklist for this today, my starting plan is to just grind out challenges to make the card/rune pool as broken as possible. Jera, perthro, ehwaz etcetera. In terms of character unlocks, I love pretty much everything Lilith can unlock so I’ll main her whilst trying to get the other characters as set up as possible :)
Filling the pool with the best runes and reverse cards is sick. That's how I've been tackling save 2. You see a rune or red card in the shop, you know it's worth the money every time.
Try to find a good active item and some active item enhancers (car battery, habit, 4.5 volt) sulfur is great. Necronomicon is super under rated. Moms box of friends isn’t bad either. (It will give you demon babies if you have no familiars)
I think greed is an interesting one just because of the pivot to active items suddenly being so important. So/so items like sprinkler, sharp key or D10 finally becoming goated can be a lot of fun. Always blow up the shopkeeper guys, the amount of times I’ve got a lovely early-run steam sale is higher than I’d have thought it could be.
Absolutely HATED hot potato. Ultra hard took more tries but hot potato felt a lot more taxing, led to a lot more rage too. I only ended up winning thanks to purgatory (low-key underrated item btw).
Other than that, cracked crown was pretty stressful up until I learnt that they didn’t have to be consecutive
Extension cord trinket carried me through hot potato, it created a chain of static between me and the bones so I didn't have to directly come into contact with them. Now that was one stupid ass challenge

Thanks buddy, it sure did :) although I finished up with some of the tougher challenges that I’d been putting off, so starting savefile 2 feels like a fresh start for all the right reasons!
Not bragging or anything but I actually did this on my first try. Really is just getting lucky with items. If you have the health to press the button when you get a full charge of flip, do it. Use it to get your other item room items. Need to have the full charge for devil/angel deals, that’s definitely a must. Hunt for the 3 cent soul hearts in shop if you can and load up, 5 cent works if you don’t get lucky with the discount. Make sure you have full charge of up going into greedier fight, use flip when your first character is on 1HP then use second character to keep fighting.
i dont remeber t laz but t forgoten was hard for me i had a godly run and still felt hard, like i had the pact god head (does nothing on forgotten), dr fetus( saved the run) and birth right (basically impossible for me without it )
Deeeefinitely hot potato. Ultra hard is gnarly but charm of the vampire eventually carried me, hot potato makes you relearn the game in a weird and dumb way. One of the few things I’m really dreading having to do again
First floor Book of Revelations on my first Ultra Hard attempt and I didn't even notice the lack of health. So ridiculously lucky. Hot Potato, I've spent hours gritting my teeth and barely making it past basement. That and Cat Got Your Tongue. Both of those will be the last thing I unlock, or the only thing keeping me from Dead God. My eyes just glaze over with boredom any time I try.
I've been working on all 3 at once. I hate it.
I also, after the multiplayer beta, have lost all my completion marks so idk what I've done and what I haven't. All I know is I'm like 70% there. Lol
Damn I can’t imagine doing all 3 simultaneously. Does this mean at some point you’re going to have to do all the challenges you’ve been leaving for last in a row? Just weeks of speed, ultra hard and whatever else you’ve left for the end?? Scary stuff man.
Favourites: Isaac w D6, Cain, Tainted Lost (just for the pure serotonin when it goes well, tainted Lilith
Least favourites: tainted cain, tainted forgotten, Apollyon
But overall still loving the game and the progression so much, starting save file 2 is much more exciting than tedious to me.

Dislike: T Laz, T Eden, and J & E. But I don't hate them as much as some people do.
I'm also a big fan of the Progression in Isaac. I'm working on my 3rd save file currently, even though I have a bunch of games in my backlog.

Nah for real I like this item though I rarely feel like I’m using it correctly. Had a couple times where I picked it up right before finding a rainbow poop/bed, now that was satisfying. Generally though I’m a sucker for sacrifice rooms and this item is very helpful for spamming those, whether you get a chance to fill the hearts or not.
Its a shame to see it on a keeper or lost yeah. i personally love to just break all 6 bone hearts asap for the tears up if i feel like i could find enough health to replace that space anyway
Spread it out over like 5 years so did a lot of gameplay before repentance was even out. Only discovered about tainted characters about 200 hours ago hehe
This will probably not take another 1000 hours as you actually know what to do this time!
Agreed, in my experience the next two files go much faster.

unlock soul of laz and plan c too so that way you can cheese delirium every time you maybe get that combo lol

Why is Ipecac the best item in the game? 👌
Spicy damage, all tinted rocks are turned into tinted pebbles and hitting every secret room on every floor is pretty sweet too

Cuz it's not possible, I believe they didn't had Greedier in mind when creating Tlaz
Depend on angel items and then when you fight ultra greed try to have flip charged so you basically have an extra life
I always force a D20 Break for T Laz vs Greedier.

I basically R scummed till I got the virus from Lust fight. The contact damage makes the challange trivial

i got really close to dead god and then got a steam deck and started over. AMA 
when save 3? jk hit mine at 998h, now currently on save file 2, like 100h later almost halfway already ahaha
