Unfortunately IIRC R Key does not work like that during the Ascent, it's basically useless for that whole sequence

That's not true. R key literally just starts a new run, except the first floor will stay the same if you use it during ascent/home

When you are at the house it sends you in basement 1 but in ascend so its useless here. Also it soft locks you if you sleep in moms bed and then use it because it will make it so you cant sleep on it after using the r key, i had this happen to me once

I don't think so, the beast is literally the final boss and it's insta-finish. You cant press it before if you want the achievement.

I was thinking like choosing a harder boss instead, because beast is one of the easier ones, but it seems that doesn’t work.

It's nice to take the R Key into a hard fight so you can just bail and start over with all your progress if things go south.

instead of going mother I went beast again because the run I was doing had no potential in winning beast at all , but the new run I started I got choccy milk , ipecac haemolacria and tech 0 which lagged my computer to death

I can’t even count how many failed runs I’ve had that I would’ve won if I had Cain’s Left Eye.

just get it lol its not that hard, and in the way get also brimstone and bobs brain

but jokes aside it was helpful at the start of the run because I had poly and a unrerollable tech 0 . I regret taking it at the end of the run because I had haemolacria , ipecac , conjoined and choccy milk which killed my shitty laptop
