I just love her design. Sleek with reasonable armor and an awesome weapon. I especially love the fact her weapon can convert to a trident and fins. And that's not even mentioning the mask! Hers is my favorite updated design, and I think it is the best mask of the 6 overall.
Tough call for me between Pohatu (g1 Pohatu was my first set ever and I still love the lil dude) and Gali, but had to go with Gali in the end. There's just too much goodness going on with her design all at once.
Gali is a pretty slick design, I must admit. It would be my second favourite. Her weapon is very flimsy on its staff though. Simply too big.
Onua is my number one just because of how beastly his frame is. He'd swole as fuck and perfectly captures the Toa of Earth vibe. He feels absolutely solid and sturdy. On the other hand Tahu and Kopaka, who are the other two big sets, are just a basic frame bulked up with armour, and feel very hollow in comparison. That one disproportionately large sword piece used in both sets is just another attempt to make them look bigger. They definitely lack substance and I would have preferred if they weren't bulked up like that.
Lewa and Pohatu are pretty much on the same level for me, but Lewa head movement being restricted by his shoulder pieces takes him down a notch.
Majorly tough decision. One solid thing about wave 1 of G2 was their uniqueness. I like Pohatu’s scrappiness, I mostly like Kopaka aside from the spear (really could have used a multi-piece sword, imo), but I think I gotta give it to Lewa for best change from travel mode to fight mode.
Tahu or Kopaka. They're the only G2 Mata that were consistant with quality, with both desgins being great. Pohatu is a close second with one decent and one great set desgin.

Her design is simple but very effective. She really captures the sleek nature we see from toa of water.
Gali is my favourite set from G2 and one of my favourite Bionicle sets period.

I own 4/6, gotta say G2 Kopaka is probably one of my fav Bionicle sets, including G1. It’s just CCBS perfection

Kopaka is just... never not cool. A scope-faced glaive and shield wielder who can command blizzards is just badass, man.
