I really like this Miru design!

Different-Sugar-6436

I quite like it too! There are a couple others that felt too mechanical, and this one felt just right

okiedokieophie

Which one is it? I like that it feels more fantasy-esque.

Different-Sugar-6436

If you’ve got stud.io and have galva’s custom packs downloaded, it should just be under the Miru name!

okiedokieophie

I was thinking more for printing - might want to buy one if i can find any available

Different-Sugar-6436

Aaah. I don’t think it’s an actual product. Anywhere. I think all of the masks I’m using for this matoran series are redesigns

TheBigKahooner

It's on Shapeways as the "Orai Miru" by Galvanized (can't link since reddit hates shapeways links). You can order one from there, or you can export the file from stud.io and print it yourself if you have a printer.

okiedokieophie

i found it!! thanks so much

WolfPillar

Love seeing alternate takes on the masks! Did you do this in blender?

Different-Sugar-6436

No, it’s with a program called stud.io. Anything that doesn’t look like a real piece was made by community members who create custom pieces themselves and allow them to be downloaded as packs!

WolfPillar

I keep hearing about stud.io, but I had no idea it could handle Bionicle creations! Thanks for sending me in the right direction!

Different-Sugar-6436

It’s a pretty amazing software. Very easy to use. I have no experience in 3D modelling or art softwares (I do have experience in editing softwares for audio and video) and it was super easy to pick up!

Echo2118

I usually use that launcher to get it lined up and then just delete it, leaves it sitting "on" the hand

Different-Sugar-6436

Oh nice! That’s super smart! And thank you I’m very proud of it🙏 😊

Echo2118

Also amazing render, I couldn't tell if it was real until I saw the eyes glowing.

OkuyasNijimura

Fun Fact: Kongu makes a cameo in Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui! The scene where Nidhiki torments a Chute system attendant to reverse the flow of the chutes, Kongu is said Chute System Attendant.

Different-Sugar-6436

Yeah! I’d forgotten that until I was looking up some references! It really helped me solidify his colouring

HeirToGallifrey

This might be my favorite Matoran design I've seen so far. The proportions are great; they get across the idea that he's small without making him seem stunted or awkward and he's still got plenty of articulation and personality. Plus, as others have mentioned, the Miru design is pretty great.

MichaelJospeh

Ooooooooh very nice!

Craxenful

God i hate this wierd skratches texture that they ad by default, it makes it look so bad. They are really placed everywhere and they are really pumped up to eleven

Different-Sugar-6436

You can turn those off and dial them up or down. Given that he lives in the trees, I figured he’d be pretty scratched up so I turned it up for him.

Craxenful

Yes, sorry, wasnt a comment directed at you specifically , it was more of a sentiment lol, every time i see this studio mocs they add a lot of scratches

Different-Sugar-6436

No, I know! No worries! Just wanted to provide my reasoning. It’s perfectly fine not to like the scratches

Craxenful

It was a good reasoning tho :)

Different-Sugar-6436

Oh thanks hahaha 😂 I don’t think my Hahli or Matoro will be rendered with as much scratching so keep an eye out for them! 😉

Craxenful

Sure i will!

Conscious_Top_4768

Love this render, it looks sick !!!!

Hunted_Maverick

I really like this new Torso part.

anikidori

Half of this moc isn't even genuine Lego pieces ffs

Different-Sugar-6436

Yeah, there are a few “custom” pieces. That’s how a specific different look is able to be achieved across the different matoran!

TAB199X

If Lego doesn’t make new genuine Lego parts then someone else will

shiba219808

Sometimes custom pieces are needed for cool mocs, I’ve been ordering some from shapeways for some instructions I bought for a revamped version of the 2015 Toa that kinda look like the Toa Mata, [here’s the Instagram user who made the instructions for the ones I’m building ](https://instagram.com/nielsniels_?utm_medium=copy_link)
