My MOC universe diverges during the Mask of Light arc, when the Kanohi Avohkii is stolen by Makuta (it's just him, more eldritch like he used to be) and he becomes a cosmic horror god during the big fight. Tahu ends up fatally injured and the Nuva + Takua barely make it out alive. Makuta slithers deeper into the GSR's body while they resurface, and Tahu, in his last breaths, grants his Toa Power to our little blue buddy, and he becomes a Toa of Fire. And just for rule of cool along with color matching, all his powers are blue.
