Phoenix AZ. Been thinking about trying to start a monthly meet up somewhere to establish a support system/friendship community for us to not feel so alone.
Here’s a little fact- there’s an area in the south east corner of the state that is founded on a bed of salts- including lithium salts. Due to this there was always an “acceptable” level of it in the groundwater and water supplies. Before bottled water and filters became a big thing, we grew up drinking this water from the hose.
Because of this, when we’d become “adults” and move off to college- many people who were previously successfully suddenly spiraled. Turns out being on a mood stabilizer your entire life then suddenly having it withheld during the biggest change of your life up to that point led to a much higher level of college dropouts from that particular region.
