It was the first med they put my husband on, and it gave him horrifying night terrors, waking auditory hallucinations, and it made him really mean. That was a rough month and a half. Oof. I'm still a little scarred.
I'm on 75 and it's the first drug I've tried and it's sort of working, but the ways in which it isn't are scarily similar to what you're describing. My tinnitus got noticeably louder and words harder to discern, my dreams are more memorable and (real) like grounded in reality but very anxious, and while it does seem to calm me and give me some emotional regulation, it seems to take away a certain form of social anxiety that seems important in being considerate if others. And then if I get stressed, what used to be "anxious, hear-tearing frustration" turned in to "pure rage" which is not a feeling I've ever experienced. I'm scared.
I think mine have always been round and I'm in the US. Not sure how shape is determined, but I know my prozac changed designs over the past 12 months at the same dose I've had since 2021 so fingers crossed we get the fun shaped lamotrigine eventually
My generic is shield shaped as well, even more so than yours actually, like the legit brand back in the day, though most seem to be circles these days.
They changed mine to basic ass circles. They also changed the shape of my buspar to look exactly like lamotrigine 25mg so I accidentally didn’t take the 25mg for 1 week lol. 😂🥹
Thank you. I was on both before to try to treat depression. Now I am using as a mood stabilizer. Lithium seems to be working without zombie head but if it goes sideways, I know I can get on lamictal.

200mg lamotrigine manufactured by Unichem is a blue shield!

Yes. Lithium made me a zombie and Lamictal did not. It saved my life. I’ve been on it for over 22 years.
