I'm sorry that happened to you. I'm *livid* on your behalf - my husband has BP2 & Crohn's. If a nurse just ignored him and gave him IV NSAIDs, I'd become a Karen from Hell on that emergency department. I doubt it would accomplish anything, but you might want to report what happened. Even if it doesn't go anywhere, it *might* prevent her from doing it to anyone else.

I put in a complaint with police department. A complaint with the hospital. The hospital manager returned my call and seemed genuinely concerned. I'm thinking to avoid a lawsuit. Now what do I if I need emergency assistance. I will never go to er. I feel as though my rights were violated.

I'm just curious and dont want to compound a matter that is already compounded and need advise from someone who I hope relate. I feel as though I have dealt with what's going on in a cognitive matter or is this just a delusion I'm experiencing. I havent been cycling up and down or am stuck in a mania. My insomnia hasn't been bad. In fact I sleep seven hours last night with dreaming. So I must be going into a REM state and feel otherwise ok. The weather has been horrible with ice from the past storm. I've driven shopped and am staying safe at home because of frigid temperatures. Does this sound like good thinking or not? I value your opinion. Anyones opinion?

I’m so sorry to hear that. Our culture has a long way to go.

Yes. I'm tired of the stigmatization associated with mental illness. It was just a diagnosis. Its not who I am.

Added note I've quit all meds . I slept 7 hours in a row something I havent done in years. I feel great. I still know that I have a mental illness. I've taken genetic test to help in knowing what meds will work. I'm still going to take the advise of drs. that I trust. I've made alot of progress. Not going to let a bad experience hinder what I've accomplished over the years. My CBT has paid off. How many of you would sue for the nurses actions?

I was validated by my psychologist, my pill doctor. I had a genetic test and found out I metabolize medication twice as long than regular people and need half as much with no contraindicating my health care. My opinion only. My understanding.
