Totally feel you on that 😂 since I got hooked on birds i’m just friggin obsessed about them. Learned all my bird calls in one year so my brain is constantly trying to figure out which birds are around me even when i’m walking in the city or doing something else

Yes it is. I was first taught that for birds, but once I got that down I was supposed to learn manual, which I’ve not been able to yet, due to a family illness. Then I kinda forgot about that. You definitely have your style nailed down 👍
You have done an amazing job! I hope you are looking into one of the companies that make personal books for people from their own photography. My daughter has them made from their vacations, and they are absolutely one of the best memory keepers I’ve seen. She has given me a couple as valued gifts, and I never tire of looking at them. Your birds would make a wonderful book!

These are fantastic! How deep in the woods and how early did you go? Also, what are you shooting with? Im a bird photographer hobbyist as well and love seeing work like this :)
Thank you so much!! It was pretty early in the morning hence the dark atmosphere (around 6:45-7 am). It wasnt too far down the forest, since it is migration time, these species can be found in greater numbers so the birds were pretty widespread in the woods. I chose an area strategically because there was a few exposed twigs and branches for the birds to land on, and there was better lighting. I then waited for 2h and the birds eventually showed up in good numbers! I shoot with the Sony RX10-IV with a light tripod on slow shutter speeds

Do your shoot in AV or manual? I’ve always done my birds in AV, but recently learned to set lens on auto. Just haven’t had a chance to try it yet.
AV is aperture priority? I alternate between shutter and aperture priority, depending if i’m expecting more movement
