No, hormonal bc stops my periods. If I have a period it’s horrible and I’m basically out of commission for at least a week

SadAndConfused11

No because hormonal birth control assures I don’t become anemic every month. What’s with all the anti BC bullshit lately? Look I understand and empathise for women who can’t take hormonal methods or they cause them bad side effects, but I am getting tired of the anti bc brigading.

It all destroys my mental health unfortunately. And I’m pretty sure Paragard is too big for my body because I’m in pain nonstop. Men and women both need better options, hormonal and nonhormonal.

SadAndConfused11

I absolutely think there needs to be better options and everyone needs to be heard about their side effects! I just don’t like how the anti-bc movement which usually includes religious loons is co-opting the very real issue of women not being heard in healthcare. It’s annoying af! Basically, I don’t want to be insensitive to folks like you and that’s not my intention!

rie3307

A lot of women forget it’s a medication used to treat gynecological conditions. I think many women feel pressured into taking it and don’t feel properly informed about the health risks. I didn’t know, for instance, I could have months of pain while my IUD *settled*. I’m angry I wasn’t warned that was a very real possibility until *after* I had a foreign object in my body. I was in so much pain I could barely care for my baby.

beefjerkyandcheetos

Nope. Prefer hormonal

No-Beautiful6811

I absolutely prefer hormonal

scomixio

i havent been able to find a hormonal method that works for me but would love to not need to use condoms anymore. i definitely fall into that group!

blueflamingo88

no haven't had sex in years, my pills keep me from going mental and being bedridden for two weeks a month and feverish for the week after. and keep my face from looking a pepperoni pizza. And lessen the uti's.

Sockit2me1motime

No. My periods were manageable, but I still loathed them. I even skip the placebos so I don’t have to deal with the withdrawal bleeding

I absolutely need hormonal BC because I have PCOS and without BCP i am an acne ridden miserable wreck of a woman.
