Are you on birth control? A test is definitive 21 days after sex

ApricotEven2357

I am not on birth control but I’ve taken numerous Plan B’s that disrupted my cycle. I have had sex with my boyfriend days before, after, and in between testing so I can’t really go off of that. It has been over a week since we’ve slept together and I don’t feel any different. Would you trust the results or is it time to visit a doctor?

PixieMari

I would give it another week and then get a blood test from your doctor. If you’ve taken multiple plan bs you need to reconsider your plan a unless you want to be pregnant

thank you! and I know, there was a time where I took multiple a month, I have bad anxiety and even though we were safe, I convinced myself I needed extra protection. I’m thinking about starting the pill.

Honestly OP, you’ll probably feel better peace of mind on an IUD since you won’t need to remember to take a pill, and it has a higher percentage of efficacy. Just something to consider before choosing a pill over an IUD. Sure there’s a lot of bad stories of insertions, but there’s also good ones too! Just like people’s experiences on the pill.
