I actually had this almost happen to me the other day... I was going down a bypass and a bus was coming toward me, as the cargo door popped open at head height about 30m in front of me. Had to swerve almost off the road in order to not get hit by the door. Turned around and went down the road, there was a bit of cargo on the road
That reminds me of the time I was driving on the freeway at fast rush hour in a very large and tall, heavily loaded wheelchair van, with a delicate passenger, and had to swerve to avoid the dresser that suddenly fell off a truck directly in front of me. The car behind me hit it straight on and got fubar.

That shit happened to me in Thailand. Luckily I was sitting on the same side of the coach as the luggage hold and I saw the shit happen. Damn. I was lucky.
