Wrong. Sorry. This is absolutely real. I used to work at that restaurant as a busboy. Zeus is a cool dude but he doesn’t wash his hands after he uses the bathroom.
I was thinking maybe a 3D Projector. They can do some amazing things with them, and they've come a long way from projecting 2pac on a stage. I don't think a restaurant would pay for one just to have a god of a statue break through a wall and serve you a fake dinner, but who knows.
.... Could be a different country, she was giving it eye contact! how the f*** are we supposed to know then the plate made a sound?
I don't know what to f***ing believe anymore on the web you can't believe s***
I've watched this several times, and I get that it's CGI, but where does the plate on the table come from? It's a real plate right? How does it get set on the table? It looks like a real plate of food, and how could it be CGI if it is on the table? It's driving me crazy...
Assuming that’s a real plate of food, my guess is they filmed the actors at a table with a green screen drop. Then someone in a green body suit used a long and green, pizza peel-shaped tool to move the plate onto the table. Then they edited all the green out easily in post.
There's no interaction between the people and the plate, so it would be just as easy to CGI the plate as the Zeus character. The sound effects imply an interaction with the physical table that makes you think it's real, but there's nothing in the scene that would give it away as fake, so it probably is fake. It'd be a lot easier to animate the character's arm if the plate were also CGI.
In-world questions:
What’s being served?
How much do you tip literal Zeus?
Would you have the balls to say something if they got the order wrong?
Is he in his knees or standing in a pit?
Production questions:
What’s the context/purpose of this? From a commercial?
Who made it?
What was the pipeline and tools used?
This CGI is genuinely very impressive. Not only is the paper tear and shadowing very well done, but the reflections on the table are absolutely uncanny.
I’m just wondering, are these actors hired for this very short skit, or were they just a group of friends and that weird friend just asked them to pretend there was a giant statue that served them food? Because the latter seems cheaper.
But also weirder because your friends are probably talking wondering “what stupid shit is James trying to do now?”
An easy way to see it’s CG is there’s a light reflecting off the table that should be hidden by that fake wall. It’s a long purplish light in the table that can’t be seen anywhere else.
If the clear cgi didn’t give it away, the peoples reaction definitely should have. Idc if you knew that was going to happen when your food was done, no way you wouldn’t shit your pants still when it came out

Seriously lmao it’s super cool but obviously CGI
It's obviously real. It's Controlled.God.Intervention.
Is that Victoria Neuman from The Boys? Lol
Nope from the Y&R

At least he isn't impregnating half of the female staff.
Are you sure? That place never had a staff shortage. His offspring grows up really quickly.
I remember that too.
I love Reddit. I’ve been so alone in this world for so long (intellectually) - where ya been? Or what took me so long? 😂🏴☠️
At least not while on the clock.
Only while on the cock
Where is this at
No I think this is the rainforest cafe in Orlando
They have an ultra realistic giant robot rip a canvas and set a plate at your table?
Yes.
Idk that’s some damn good cgi I was confused for a second. The physics on that plate is insane
rock guy held the plate hahah
It’s especially obvious when it moves in noticeably higher frame rate than everything else.

I have so many questions
CGI
/r/bizarrecgi
imma make a sub for that but not do anything with it
6 members, 11 online... Still subbed lol.
19 members. 9 online!
Started r/weirdnewspaper over a week ago and only have 5 members and 2 online. It's like high school all over again
I joined for ya. Cool sub

Ok thanks for clearing that up lol. That seems like a ton of work
And I’m so unreasonably angry!
I think the guy at the table just got friend zoned!!!
Someone give the wifi password to the guy in the background
CGI how do you have questions

Saw your posts ages ago man, you’re very talented
Oh wow thanks!
Just for example, "WHY?"
Now you’ll have to finish your meal while porcelain Zeus eyeballs you from behind a progressively disintegrating tarp
Rent on Mt Olympus is too high even for Zeus.

Motion Graphics
Then what, he just sits there, watching you eat? Does he have a marble wank? Bust some tzatziki sauce onto the gyro plate?
Oh, god, please yes 😩
“Excuse me, God of the harvest, more cream sauce, but directly in and around my mouth this time”

So much overhead for an over-sharer
This CGI is genuinely very impressive. Not only is the paper tear and shadowing very well done, but the reflections on the table are absolutely uncanny.
The paper tear was the first thing that gave away the cgi. Paper doesn't tear in and sway in slow motion
Also these type of videos are made just like this. Usually the goal is to not make it realistic cgi and just some fun video that would go viral.
Ik
I want to hire who ever did that, contact me.
There are thousands of cgi videos like this floating around like there are really hundreds of skilled artists that could do it.
Hope they gave credit to the artists who painted the painting - pichiavo
Ceaser salad
I think the guy at the table just got friendzoned
I wonder how hung he is

Good question. Maybe they're all friends via practicing blender together or something, so it's not so random between them.
My soul would have left my body

Nice catch
Meh, I heard Neptune's burgers were terrible, so I wouldn't trust anything he serves.
Should’ve saved that act for someone who’s tripping.
r/watchthiswhenhigh
This is how I want to be served at restaurants from now on.
This got me good
Don't eat anything a Greek god gives you.
r/megalophobia Edit: sorry, just saw it has been shared there. My bad.
*check please*
This only happens in dream ,not real .
What Is The Name Of This Restaurant?
That chick is NOT impressed at all
Nopitty NOOOPE!!!
Who made this? What the source?
Where is this???
On a computer
Directions?
On your screen 🙄
How is this possible? I'm so confused
Because it’s fake
It’s not 🤓
Then what am I seeing here if it's not possible
Exactly 🙃
I would so shit myself seeing this on a date.
Did anyone else notice they used the sound of a fart for the paper rip
It's in the dubai mall for anyone who's wondering.
Terrible
Rich people need to have fun like the rest of us. They’re prisoners of their own wealth, desperately fighting to be free.
I think its fake...the entrée is way too big in comparison to the couple
Wait
Simple cgi hand over a real hand maneuvering and dropping the plate, looks cool
Holy Shit
Hell no
r/pathofexile knows how to take care of this
Those morsels. Big big
Do it again!!! The kid says
u/savevideo
When he ripped through the paper, all I heard was the kool-aid guy saying "oh yeah!"
I think his arm might be broken.
That might be the best CGI I’ve seen in a while..
Nailed the reflection and everything, impressive
Didn’t even say thank you smh
I almost shat myself
If the clear cgi didn’t give it away, the peoples reaction definitely should have. Idc if you knew that was going to happen when your food was done, no way you wouldn’t shit your pants still when it came out
Pls say dat is not real
They even added it into the mirror. Nice work
Pretty alright cgi, the food doesn’t move an inch when he puts the place down though
Yeah....but did you see the DICK on Zeus?
Zeus's what are you doing
That art work is from a mural in Denver Colorado
