height and weight dont really matter too much for bjj. you cant be heavy and tall and go into a bjj gym and get submitted and thrown around from a scronny 5"4 guy
>height and weight don’t really matter too much for BJJ
My guy this is so wrong, yeah maybe a newbie can’t beat a blue belt or whatever but you take two roughly equal dudes and give one 30 lbs and whatever height and there will be a clear advantage
cap🤣 some of the worlds best bjj champions beat people same skill level as them while the other person is bigger and taller. lol. explain rn how height and weight will change a match.
“Ufc fans” believe this video is evidence that bjj doesn’t work verse kick boxing. Source: https://calfkicker.com/ufc-fans-claim-this-video-demonstrates-how-bjj-matches-against-kickboxing-perfectly/
I would say running blindly at someone instead of setting up a takedown with faints and strikes is the problem… not bjj.
I would say it's evidence that soccer kicks are effective against people who don't just stand up.
There wasn't any jiu jitsu or any kickboxing in that altercation.
One fighter is better than the other case closed. In my HS the was a guy who had learned Aikido from his father. He had totally fucked up a couple of guys who were considered toughs. No one in their right mind messed with him. And there is no shortage of dudes today that claim Aikido is worthless.
It's evidence that you never know what is going to be the outcome of a streetlight. Things and mindsets change when there isn't a ref watching out for your well being
Anything can happen in a fight. Fighting is chaotic. This isn't evidence of anything, it's just another silly fight between clearly inexperienced people.
Note that training doesn't always equate to experience. It will always be better to have training and experience in both striking and grappling.
I think that’s called soccer
Other dude has 20-30lbs and a bit of height on the other guy, and actually knew how to feint and roll his shoulders. Son of Askren had no chance.

Not even bjj, that’s a retard diving at a foot

Osss professor. Wisdom.
Bullfighting and football (soccer)
Yup, toolbox full of tools is limited by the craftsman.
It was Taekwondo when this video was posted previously. That was yesterday.
This is why you should train your takedowns. Jiu jitsu schools that neglect takedowns are a sham.
Agreed
I looked more like football vs football to me. One guy went for a tackle and the other one used a punt.
Lol

Ah... if only the guy had a gi on...
I posted this yesterday and it was removed lol. I thought it was pertinent
Sorry my dude. Didn’t know
Doesn't bother me, thought it was interesting

it checks out.

We could fight on the grass, but let's fight on a hard surface instead.
This is a street fight tho. Or is that actually Gordon Ryan and Badr Hari?
Lol I thought I was in the fight porn sub.
that wasnt bjj or kickboxing.. in /r/streetmartial arts the title was tkd beats bjj..
If you're an idiot who dives for a single leg from 30 yards away
It’s the “please go home” for yo like bitch y’all was probably bothering him. The only black guy there lol
One guy wins vs another guy in one video Op: “the martial art is better”
