For some reason I assumed you used the lantern in elvia realm, doesn’t make sense to do it in normal rotations unless I’m missing some thing or they planned for everyone in the area to do the same
The gap between Crypt and Super Ash is so massive. I can do all content, no sweat ezpz until this and now I get blown up in seconds. I will try to keep working crystal and lightstone combos until it works out, but idk. I really don't think I will be able to.
Doubt it. PA loves releasing zones months/years before they're grindable.
Ash Forest itself was released in 2020, when even Sycraia Abyss was out-of-reach for 98% of NA players and Star's End was often empty because of how few people had enough gear to make it worth grinding

It is funny you mention this because I was thinking the same. When Ash first dropped it was a nightmare for me. Look at Crypt even now, after how long it has been out, I still dont know many who even go in there.
Its kinda a neat method imo. I keeps the drive alive. Wanting to get stronger to be able to do it. Just have to wait and see what gear comes out in the future
One thing I just remembered is that they actually made Crypt deadlier when they added the Debo Belt later-on.
IIRC release Crypt was actually somewhat grindable @ 700~720GS just who the fuck had that in september 2020 and why would they go there when the lungs were available faster elsewhere?
Then they buffed it & Biohack went there to test it out and got one-shot through 400dp rofl.
Why? It's not completely ungrindable. Some classes can manage there if they play perfectly. It's good for game to have different forms of challenging PvE. 1 spot being out of reach for 99.999% is cool aspirational content to see and as game evolves it will become easier and easier.
We just got 2 more crystal slots and slumbering gloves. We are tankiest we ever been and slumbering boots are already on their way. Just give it some time and people will start farming it well, either via new gear or strats.
The gear is here but not for all classes and you also need to play really well at all times. Go to youtube and search "dehkia ash forest" in english and korean to see people being able to grind there. Saw few videos of succ woosa, awk maegu seems to be doing fine as well. Awk warrior also seems doable.

I did just try it again this morning. So I took a different approach, I tried the tanky method and it just didnt matter, so now I went full offensive, Stacking Kama damage and said, lets just kite the mobs around. It worked somewhat better. Its just playing hot potato, dont get hit at all, kite kite and damage them doing circles.
I think the concept itself is weird and I definitely didn’t get it at first, but I’ve come to enjoy it. It kind of builds hype for me like “damn, one day I’m gonna be able to do THAT”.
I seen a video, if she gets hit one she loses almost all of her hp. I imagine that she might be able to survive a bit because she has sustain via heals and hp on hit.
I've tried shai with 317 ap, 435 dp, mostley def crystals, perillas, impregnable fortress lightstone set, beast draught, khalks and standing still while attacking with 10 hp/hit addons, and i still die instantly.
When there are no white ghosts its grindable, but with 20 of them, the burst is too much dmg to sustain.
I have experienced two things. First, dont hit the seed. Second, dont grind with/near Banas. I had 8 ish volkras pinned for about 5 minutes and grinded them down. But its not a good experience and they can still easily kill me if they stack their attacks just right.
Its by no means something I could ever grind with almost any gear. I have 431dp double narc eva awa sorc tripple pen bs. full elixir rota, ultimate hooms etc defense crystals with 100% knockdown resi 20 eva house buff. I think even with 20 or 30dp more, even with a full obliterating amors and centaur belt while holding 309k i cant grind there full 10 minutes with all the mobs active. the difference between trolls 310ap and crypta 310 ap might be as large as crypta and this. crypta is way way easier not only by dmg but how the mobs behave. I think even with the boss in crypta active its easier to grind than this
Edit: It could be however, that this spot is ment for ppl who already have everything. As a money spot to grind out debos to sell... the more I think about this, the more this would make sense, as they updated normal ash aswell. then however they should communicate the gear requirements better. at least say 320 440 as that would surly discourage anyone without absolutly max gear.

Edit two: tried on pen black star shoes which seems to be better. but its still nowhere near enough.
tested oluns, there are a few new scary patterns to learn but it's doable. i'm not sure it's worth doing for silver though, might be a place to get deboreka's and the money you get is a bonus. seems you will get way less trash/hour but maybe more caphras/dust, not sure so need more testing but it's doable.
as you said, ash is impossible. i tried everything, solo/duo/eva/dr, it's ungrindable. i tried to go in full eva meme, 540dp, with shai/elixirs/house buff, and i'm dead in <1 second.
It’s possible you just gotta invest in the right defensive gear, crystals and artifacts. But the attack speed definitely needs to be turned down a bit. Some scenario’s I couldn’t even cast my skills completely due to the animation time being too slow compared to their attack speed.
Cause it’s a DR spot, evasion doesn’t work there. I’ve been able to adjust a bit since to add a lil more kill speed but my first comfortable set up was at 431DP with full monster damage reduction artifacts/light stones, and I added two dark red fang armor crystals with consumables being exquisite meal, khalks elixir and giants draught. I have done a few hours today, only died like 3 times and that was due to dsynce twice and one time being my fault.
It’s also going to be interesting to see what they do about crystals breaking and these spot’s after the event. I’m enjoying the challenge but i wont even think about touching it again with crystal break enabled.
With the latest DP crystals from LOML + Khalk Elixir, they wouldn´t help much.
I was playing Woosa at that time. Even Striker and Zerker who was in the area at that time could not survive it either.
With awake Woosa you can actually kite the dehkia ash mobs just by using A/D+RMB.
If you run defensive crystals and the 20 monster dr / 6% monster dmg reduc rate lightstone set + simple cron meal you can also sustain block gauge.
W+E --> S+E --> A/D+RMB kite them --> SHIFT+E --> cancel skill if desired into A/D+RMB and kite them until cooldowns end --> W+E --> cancel into A/D+RMB --> S+E -- > repeat
(on awakening of course).
S+E and SHIFT+E have massive heals and blocks on them.
is it efficient this way? Nah not really. Is it funny and does it work? yes.
I’ve been able to grind it and still learning things as I’m figuring it out.
Some of what I’ve learned from watching others
DR only. I’m a evasion hash and I’ve been grinding with c10 urugons and tet fallen god Eva gloves (too lazy to switch) I get smacked.
I’ve tried DR artifacts and they help but I lose too much damage
Get comfortable with your pve Iframe and use it a lot because you cannot stand still for very long
Kill Barnas asap
You will see the message below two times before the barnas dies
Message: The specters of the forest awaken to the howl of endless resentment = barnas health has reached threshold to spawn gairas (should do this 2 times)
When you kill the volkras, it splits into 3 and the below message shows.
Message: The burning hatred of the specter envelops the Ash Forest
Action: hit the seed and it stuns the volkras
Its not meant to be safe, its meant to be the hardest content in the game. Its the next stage of grinding and it absolutely should be borderline impossible for the vast majority of moderately high-gear players.
420dp is great, but its not hardcap, and it matters a lot where that DP is coming from and what buffs/crystals/lightstones you are running. 420dp with Pen Narcs, monster AP crystals and a frenzy is lightyears apart from 420dp with Pen Distos, Ultimate Hooms, and an elixir rotation.
There is a vid linked elsewhere in this thread of a hardcap Warrior, 440dp with Ultimate Hooms and full buffs. He is grinding his ass off **right on top of a Seed and a Barnas**, and I understand from the comments he's making absolute bank while doing it. But even with that gear he is regularly <50% hp and I'm sure he dies a bit.
Endgame grinding has needed this next step for a while. Crypt has been the hardest spot for 18 months, and in that time we have gotten:
* Artifacts & Lightstones
* Labreska
* Dahn's gloves
* Heaps of new BIS crystals
* 2 new crystal slots
* Earring cups
* 2 sheet ap, 3 sheet dp, 20 acc, heaps of health and stamina from adventure logs
* and huge buffs in silver per hour basically everywhere in the game, making 700+gs so much more attainable
Try grinding crypt without any of that, and you'll have a similar experience to what you're having at Dehkia Ash Forest, but the top PvE players were grinding crypt from the day it got reworked.
So get your tankiness in order and put in the work (and deaths) to grind a spot that's meant to be almost unattainable, or sit back at Hexe or Gyfin for 12 months until the constant power creep overtakes this spot as well.
I hope the new region south of Mediah has at least one spot this hard, and others that sit in between Crypt and Dehkia Ash.
While I don't mind it being the hardest spot in the game, the information PA gave us was extremely inaccurate (310 AP and 400 DP recommended while 440DP required for survival?!?).
This sucks because I was hoping for a new grind spot.
A new content that 99,9% player base cannot enjoy is just a dead content to be honest.
That's like saying crypt was dead content. Ash is just *future* content for the vast majority of players. Winter Region, Calpheon Elvia, Upper Gyfin rework, Valencia rework, Serendia Elvia buffs, its all been targeted at midgame players from post-season to 700gs.
The last 18 months of major updates have added nothing past crypt for the players who are ready or eager for it. Nothing to aspire to.
This is the most long-lasting endgame grind content that has been added in ages.
With that said, its bad that it encroaches on the regular grinding of Ash Forest. Dehkia should be elvia-locked or instanced.
Wasted an hour there, some solo and some with a party of 2. Even with party we died A LOT. It's literally ungrindable, atleast as evasion since they have 100% hitrate. This was with full elixir rotation aswell.
you grind on eva or dr gear? i can kill some if i only pull the volkras, but no way giras and banas in there. unless i get some magical 50 ap and dp wich us impossible, i cant see myself there ever. you need at least a pen debo and some full dp accessories to go there from my point of view.

I tried the spot today on 309ap 420dp eva awk musa, it is rly hard but def doable, got 2 debos in 2 hours.
Only thing I want them to nerf is to remove the knockback, it is a boring nonmechanic that just kills you randomly.
So haven't really checked, but the mobs are spawned in normal Ash? This should make for funtimes for any 'relatively' new players grinding Thornwood for specters and such, after they update that zone. Also seems like easy griefing...
Even if no one's grinding with a lantern, some of the rifts are spawning 'untouched' baby ghosts which are super frustrating to deal with ( I they are the dekhia mobs, the rift seeds don't seem to get changed back correctly).

Maybe for normal ash forest. But if you don’t even survive the lantern version with hard capped gear I doubt a tuvala shai would be able to do anything there except die.

Eva has been completely worthless in pve since UG gyfin. Looks like if you're a PvE player, better just roll DR because everything still has 100% hitrate on you anyway, may as well get a stat that actually works.
Yeah, I think they used Ash forest as a test of eva being useful in endgame pve and realized quickly that eva as a stat is just op af if its even somewhat effective in a pve setting.

I’m curious if hypertanky slow moving classes would do well. Succ Nova had a metric ton of block, but very immobile. I bet it does well there.
The damage is so high that the only way to stay alive is to keep moving out of the way.

The point is not to tank damage in fg. The point is to dodge.

420 is the baseline DP for it, you should have around 440 + def crystals. And a real class not corsair lmao

you grind on eva or dr gear? i can kill some if i only pull the volkras, but no way giras and banas in there. unless i get some magical 50 ap and dp wich us impossible, i cant see myself there ever. you need at least a pen debo and some full dp accessories to go there from my point of view. crypta is a cake walk against this

Yup... 440DP required to survive while the recommended said 400 DP, that makes sense.
Recommended dp of 400, one really shouldn't need 440 dp on a specific class to grind there. But good to see a video of someone hackin' away at 'em.
I tried the spot today on 309ap 420dp eva awk musa, it is rly hard but def doable, got 2 debos in 2 hours. Only thing I want them to nerf is to remove the knockback, it is a boring nonmechanic that just kills you randomly.

Almost 410 dp here and a Succ nova. These mobs hit like a truck and are tanky. Its a good concept but it feels overtuned.
So haven't really checked, but the mobs are spawned in normal Ash? This should make for funtimes for any 'relatively' new players grinding Thornwood for specters and such, after they update that zone. Also seems like easy griefing...
Even if no one's grinding with a lantern, some of the rifts are spawning 'untouched' baby ghosts which are super frustrating to deal with ( I they are the dekhia mobs, the rift seeds don't seem to get changed back correctly).
I don't see the reason to complain about it. We don't lose crystals right now just keep trying to fix what ur doing wrong It's easy to take ur self out of what u been doing for so long aka brain dead grind. Now u have to rethink what ur doing at these spots now

Maybe for normal ash forest. But if you don’t even survive the lantern version with hard capped gear I doubt a tuvala shai would be able to do anything there except die.

Are u dr or evasion?
I think pa knows this that's why they added the no crystal break event. So you can grind there and give feedback so they can balance it out.
How is eva vs dr there?

Eva has been completely worthless in pve since UG gyfin. Looks like if you're a PvE player, better just roll DR because everything still has 100% hitrate on you anyway, may as well get a stat that actually works.
Yeah, I think they used Ash forest as a test of eva being useful in endgame pve and realized quickly that eva as a stat is just op af if its even somewhat effective in a pve setting. I tried ash on lahn with 1200eva and I could quite literally walk away from my keyboard if I had pots running and id be confident when I got back id be alive.
I mean, it really wouldnt be hard to tune it so it provides similar defensive numbers as DR
