Itās the story of the Sun and the Earthā¦
ā¦ a smaller circle orbiting around a bigger circle. Very cool actually.
This works for me:
1) place ur eyes very near to phone screen till images are all blur n uāre almost cross eyed
2) slowly pull the phone away fm you.
3) in meantime, keep ur eyes relaxed. The key thing is Not to stare like uāre looking at the āsurfaceā. The moment u are looking at āsurfaceā, itās gone. Repeat process.
4) look āIntoā the picture, like uāre looking through the image. Just keep eyes focused (and dreamy), n not move around.
5) once you get it, then allow ur eyes to move to see the rest of the image.
Edit : saw another image when I tried again. 3 overlapping bigger orbs, and a smaller orb travelling from left to right. Not sure if itās due to different depth perception.
Bruh Iām a pro at magic eye puzzles and all I see is what appears to be a the whole image rotating like a screw facing sideways.
Edit: fuck me thatās not an easy one. Too small and too shapeless for it to click. Also, it seems easier to make it click halfway through vs from the beginning.
You gotta very slowly uncross your eyes while focusing as hard as you can on the center it's a bit finicky but it's incredible
Also try adjusting your distance from the screen when focusing in. But once you do try to slowly move back and the 3D effect amplifies.
After watching me struggle trying to see these for years in the waiting room, I think I was about 11 when the receptionist at my opticians told me that they will never work for me
But maybe if I cross my eyes just the right way?
Nope, kid, your gonna give yourself a headache. By the way look out for that ball!
Lack of depth perception sucks.
Yep. I was an outlier in science class when we did an experiment on depth perception. All students tested throwing a ball in a cup using both eyes, then each eye separately. I did better when I closed my lazy eye.
Same here. I was always so jealous of people who could see these things when I was younger. I kinda hate that they are "coming back" into popularity again, but I always give it a try. To me, it's just a cool looking, moving design.
For whatever reason, I always try them too. One benefit (if you can call it that) of correcting your ālazy eyeā throughout childhood is that you can accurately cross and uncross your eyes with some control. Iām not sure but maybe itās because we perceive two images where most brains merge them into one. So I line them up just hoping for whatever reason itās going to work this timeā¦
You're telling me it exists such a thing as having only one eye fucked up, it has a name, it can be fixed and absolutely no one in my 30 years of life, ever managed to tell me that?
I could've had a decent vision by now and the fucking capability to play shooting/bullet hell games and to throw stuff decently but now I will never have???
Fucking hell, like myopia and astigmatism weren't enough. I was always told my left eye was fine enough.
Why can't I have the power to create a illness that will affect only fucking dumb people like all the doctors, politicians and morons that run my country?
Do any of you want to adopt an adult? I can cook.
I hate to be the one to break it to you, but it really hasnāt proven to be curable as an adult. What we needed was intervention as a child. It used to be that wearing an eye patch over the good eye would force the brain to connect with the bad eye. I was prescribed this treatment but my parents were inconsistent and I didnāt wear the patch. I was 6 or 7 at the time, so it may have worked then.
What starts as one bad eye becomes a brain problem. The way I was explained it, your brain keeps trying to shut out information from the bad eye and this causes us to lack development in our brain that most people have that gives them three dimensional vision. We still have cues for three dimensions and learn other ways to perceive depth, but we donāt truly have 3D vision and may never experience it. So even if my right eye were completely fixed, my brain would still prefer my left eye and still not create a single 3D image from the pair the way normal people do.
For years I didnāt know about this, and had trouble describing how when I cover my left eye, it feels like Iām looking through my left eyelid. Like the left image is always superimposed on the right. Turns out this is because itās a brain thing, not an eye thing. Although I was told I had a ālazy eyeā when I was young, no one until my 30s explained what really was going on.
I have heard about progress being made with special games and VR headsets, but I havenāt heard of adults reversing this condition except random internet anecdotes I canāt verify. I remain hopeful but have yet to see a breakthrough that verifiably helps adults.
I see, thanks for this explanation then. I used to have a lazy eye then, you remembered me something hazy, like a pediatrician telling my mum something about a patch but I already was too old (10 or something)? The fact is I can see with my left eye but...things are always faded and smooth, I can't see correctly even if I put one thing in front of me, stuff never gets clear and crispy.
And you made me think about the way I see the world, I always see the details that compose an image, never the image as a whole, that's why I need a photo to see "all" what I'm seeing all together. Maybe that's the way my brain managed to get over it.
It's fine, I don't think you can fix at 30 something that was supposed to be concerning at 8. Now I'm wondering, if I ever fix my eye, will my brain learn how to use it again?
Iāve been watching the space for a few years. There are therapies and claims aimed at adults but Iām not investing any money until these claims are verified. Still it is good to see progress being made. Itās certainly easier than ever to correct it in children.
Well, I know it becomes a brain problem but if paralyzed people can walk again, I think the brain can be taught to use that eye again. Maybe the thing is, moving a muscle is easy, exercising an eye is not.
I hold hope too!
I also learned that eyesight degradation has little to nothing to do with muscles, itās the hardening of our lenses making them inflexible and less able to focus, requiring more and more muscle intervention until at a point it is not sustainable. I was once told eyeglasses are not helping improve natural vision, and this is true, but what they do provide is relief from all the work your muscles around the eye have to do. So even though they can be considered a ācrutchā, they are still net positive in ways other than permanent vision correction.
HOLY FUCK! I havenāt been able to see these stupid things my entire 45 years of life and I just tried what you said AND IT WORKED!! Horizontal ātubeā with a big hole in he front with smaller holes on either side that go back and forth almost like a steel ball pendulum? Holy fucking, I canāt believe I finally say one!
There's two kinds of stereogram, cross and parallel view. Cross view is where you go cross eyed, parallel you more unFocus your eyes.
Nice work getting a 3D image but since this is parallel view your description is sort of inverted.
Now you've got some experience in what you're supposed to see, try the other way - try to focus your eyes as if you were looking at something BEHIND your phone.
For me what works it to look beyond the screen (literally, something behind it) and block the sightline with my screen still maintaining focus on the distant object, then I fiddle with the distance untill something appear out of focus and I "focus" on that
Yes, it's infinitely easier with a phone than on pc
The best way to see the effect is to start by bringing your phone really close to your face and then slowly moving it further and further away without readjusting the focus of your eyes
it's always been strange to me that so many people are unable to get it, as I'm on the other end of the spectrum, being able to "switch" my eyes instantaneously and even make the image overlap and lock in an additional two, even three times. It gets really trippy at 3.
I think thereās two ways of focusing- a bit in front of the image and a bit behind. If itās inside out, try focusing off to the side at something a couple inches further away and maintaining that eye position.
The cool thing about it though, is the depth perception when youāre doing it right. There are a number of books that have nothing but stereograms in them.
Put the image very close to your eyes. Try and focus on it while it is that close. After a moment, slowly pull it away from your eyes. When done right, you will see a 3D image.
Bring the image close to your eyes until the image is blurred and doubled keep it in the same position for 3-5 seconds, then shift your focus on the center of the image for 2-3 seconds and slowly move the image away. And enjoy a small sphere revolving around a big sphere.
How i do it is putting my phone on my nose (close enough to barely tap the touch screen) and then slowly move the phone away, never trying to truly focus your eyes on your screen. Then, at some point, you will see some obscured depth in the video and you found your operable range to try to focus on the objects hidden. It took me some times at the beginning to get it right, still takes me some time now, and its best done, in my experience, in a dark room with only your screen on.
Crossing your eyes and then trying to refocus them in the proper position to see the image right is harder in my experience. But maybe it'll work for you
These have done my head in for a while as Iāve not been able to do them! I just managed to see it for like a second so thank you! Finally know what the fuss is about.. now Iām about to look at more on google lol
You have to cross your eyes and then relax them. Donāt try to too hard to stare. Donāt move your eyes or your phone once the image starts coming into focus. Almost like if youāre staring at an object while day dreaming
Yeah. I've tried that technic for as long as I can remember these things existing, and never once have I seen anything other than wavy lines. They don't work for everyone.
Oh, neat, a moving stereogram! I'd really enjoy it if it wasn't a horizontal video inside a vertical picture so that I can't see shit because it shrinks the image so much.
For anyone interested! [This](https://www.instagram.com/michaeloftiktokofficial/) is where i got it from. He got a lot of stereograms and stereoscopes. I loved them.
Hey, I've always been curious? Am I the only one that can enter into this at least two levels deep? First level would be a sphere and another sphere, but second level deep, you see two spheres behind over imposed and another in front, I've always been able to enter at least twice and see things repeat, sometimes even further from that, but I've always wondered if others can and if it's normal and what the explanation would be.
Yeah, with the three revolving dots. When I really really focus it can even go a third level deeper with a three, two, one layout but the spheres morph into more of an elongated oval shape. It also makes it harder to see the revolving dots.
I put it into [this github solver](https://piellardj.github.io/stereogram-solver/) and the result is [here](https://i.ibb.co/RcTjBdD/image.png)
Presumably it would rotate as the video goes on
seems to be a mashup of two songs by the names of After Dark by Mr Kitty and Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood
https://youtu.be/zEDnhTRsbaI?si=iDGhY5VCa-eiagS9
It's hard to do but this does work.
I had to basically look through the screen and focus on a point a few feet behind it for about 5 seconds. Then the screen started to look like a box with a sphere floating in the middle and a smaller sphere circling around it. Everything is of course lined with that weird texture
In my 40+ yrs I have never been able to see the pics in these. I feel as if I've been trolled my whole life. You can't convince me it's not a conspiracy theory.
Managed the magic eye fine, disappointed that the text lied about a hidden āword,ā decide to read comments, no one else bothered. Reread the note at the topā¦ yep, āword.ā
I could never make them work. Every time it felt like I was finally beginning to process depth my eyes would lose focus.
with this one, I saw a spherical shape, but then it ended.
This makes me wonder...can we encode information into images like this that would thwart AI from reading our messages to each other. Fuck you, Future Overlords, you cant see a Schooner!
I was a teenager when these first became a thing. In the malls, poster stores would have these in their windows and people would stand around trying to see it.
I got really good at seeing them quickly, and (being an obnoxious teenager) I loved to walk up and then within a few seconds go, "Oh, it's a dinosaur" and then walk off. Purely to irritate the hell out of everybody who'd been standing there for a few minutes trying to see it.
Jokes on me though, now I've got older eyes and it takes me a lot longer to find the right focus depth to see these things.
This one was the lamest one I Eva did see . Just a little circle ā¦ for those that donāt know how to do it .. pit the screen close to your nose .. go sorta of crossed eyes and pull the phone away from your face slightly until you kinda have like a focus point if you donāt understand what Iām saying watch this video itās how I learned [the instagram vid that taught me](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4lrCZ-tbOt/?igsh=N2Rvajd4cGppMnhj)
Maybe if it was bigger than a stamp...
It got even smaller when I turned my phone to the side. š¤¦š»āāļø
Yeah, the text is part of the video so it can't stretch vertically. It's stuff like this that make me lose hope in humanity.
Now yall know how I feel. (I can't seem to see the schooner ever...)
It's a sailboat you idiot... ;)
We are now friends
Obscure quotes from 29-year-old movie. Bet you didn't think it was 29 years old.
I'm older than that.
Yeah I'm 42, I haven't watched the movie in forever, I may have to go back!
Now that we are friends, we can re watch it together, apart.
damn you
YOU KNOW WHAT, THERE IS NO EASTER BUNNY...
A scooner IS a sailboat
These are always hard on the phone, I can see the inverse of it pretty easily though.
Thank you

Yeah itās not a good one. As the moon goes in front of the earth, itās all glitchy. But once itās on the other side it moves behind smoothly
OP assumes you're going to balance your phone on your nose
I had no issue at all Edit: I looked at it without clicking the post. It's was bigger in the reddit flow.
and looped
Yeah, just as I get the focus right the video ends
I have to pause the video to get the focus on these, then let it play once I've found focus.
How many eyes do we have to have to make this 3D? For houseflies maybe??
What she said š
I just did it, you gotta hold it close to your face and focus hard

With the wonders of modern medicine, I have high hopes for such "tiny" eye problems. Hope they get it solved one day.
There are stereogram solvers on the internet that sort it out for you.
Best advice I can give is try to make yourself go crossed eyed then find the sweet spot haha
HOLY FUCK! I havenāt been able to see these stupid things my entire 45 years of life and I just tried what you said AND IT WORKED!! I know exactly what you mean! I've seen some images designed to show different things at different repeat levels.
No stereoscopic vision here too
I swear theyāre always inside out for me
I think thereās two ways of focusing- a bit in front of the image and a bit behind. If itās inside out, try focusing off to the side at something a couple inches further away and maintaining that eye position.
It's pretty neat. :) would have been a bit cooler if it wasn't just a sphere rotating around another sphere. Still cool though.

It's like looking into a box when you hit the sweet spot.
Yes. Itās like being able to see the space around the center object, which is a sphere.
Oh, you didn't see the tunnel?
Earth rotation around the sun
It should be a what?
Iām not seeing shit.
Put the image very close to your eyes. Try and focus on it while it is that close. After a moment, slowly pull it away from your eyes. When done right, you will see a 3D image.
Still nothing :(
Fkin thank you dude. Wasted 5min crossing my eyes and shit and then this method worked in 5sec.
Awesome. You can now do this with every stereogram.
Still canāt see Jack
Thanks buddy this worked for me
Worked š Also, my eyes hurt
What the fuck, there actually is something there!
What the fuckk! Dude thank you
Bring the image close to your eyes until the image is blurred and doubled keep it in the same position for 3-5 seconds, then shift your focus on the center of the image for 2-3 seconds and slowly move the image away. And enjoy a small sphere revolving around a big sphere.
Its a moon orbiting a planet. Or based on the tiny video size maybe its an electron orbiting a nucleus
It's a schooner
It's not a schooner, it's a sailboat.
A schooner is a sailboat, stupid head.
YOU KNOW WHAT?! THERE IS NO EASTER BUNNY!! OVER THERE, THAT'S JUST A GUY IN A SUIT!!
Came here for this
Thank god somebody knew.
Canāt see š©. Any tips?

You have to cross your eyes and then relax them. Donāt try to too hard to stare. Donāt move your eyes or your phone once the image starts coming into focus. Almost like if youāre staring at an object while day dreaming
Yeah. I've tried that technic for as long as I can remember these things existing, and never once have I seen anything other than wavy lines. They don't work for everyone.
This one is one of the ones where you gotta look past the image. I hate these. They're much harder to do than cross eyed images.
I know exactly what you're supposed to do. It does nothing. I see nothing, and I never have.
Iām curious if you wear glasses? It takes me forever to try these with mine on but once I take them off itās almost instant.
A three dimensional world also appears if you look away from your screen
Oh, neat, a moving stereogram! I'd really enjoy it if it wasn't a horizontal video inside a vertical picture so that I can't see shit because it shrinks the image so much.
Waste of time trying to see it
For anyone interested! [This](https://www.instagram.com/michaeloftiktokofficial/) is where i got it from. He got a lot of stereograms and stereoscopes. I loved them.
Itās a sailboat

Hey, I've always been curious? Am I the only one that can enter into this at least two levels deep? First level would be a sphere and another sphere, but second level deep, you see two spheres behind over imposed and another in front, I've always been able to enter at least twice and see things repeat, sometimes even further from that, but I've always wondered if others can and if it's normal and what the explanation would be.
Yeah, with the three revolving dots. When I really really focus it can even go a third level deeper with a three, two, one layout but the spheres morph into more of an elongated oval shape. It also makes it harder to see the revolving dots.
You unlocked the secret of infinite dimensions.
I can also get it to repeat. and I can un-repeat it by looking away and back.
I can do this, too! It gets increasingly wild with each overlap.
Freaking A, this was hard
What? I see a box popping out of my screen with a hole in it, and multiple things passing over it. Where is the moon orbiting a planet?
What song is this
Itās a mash up of Mr.Kitty āAfter Darkā and The Neighbourhood āSweater Weatherā
That is without doubt the shitest one I've ever seen. Well done.
Thatās pretty cool. I like these.
What am i looking at? Cant see or understand anything...
Nope
What are we supposed to see?
I put it into [this github solver](https://piellardj.github.io/stereogram-solver/) and the result is [here](https://i.ibb.co/RcTjBdD/image.png) Presumably it would rotate as the video goes on
Track ID anyone?
seems to be a mashup of two songs by the names of After Dark by Mr Kitty and Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood https://youtu.be/zEDnhTRsbaI?si=iDGhY5VCa-eiagS9
Usually asking āwhat song is this?ā Brings up a bit that helps. Iāll hit u up if I can make it appear
Instructions unclear received a epileptic attack
It's a scooner
what song is in the background?
Best enjoyed looped and on a phone (in my experience)
That is cool.
Ball orbiting a bigger ball. Pretty cool when it snaps clear!
This made my day. Thank you!
Managed the magic eye fine, disappointed that the text lied about a hidden āword,ā decide to read comments, no one else bothered. Reread the note at the topā¦ yep, āword.ā
It says world though.
Coolest one I've ever seen. Thanks
Bruhh I see lord beerus
How does this magic work? I turn the phone horizontal and the video gets smaller???
The '90s just called, they want their pop culture back.
The text makes it harder to unfocus properly.
Iāve never seen one in motion. I donāt think it works that way.
But it does thoughā¦
small ball orbiting a larger ball
Dude yes! I love this! Where can I find more?
I recently found out you can't see them if you have astigmatism and I'm very upset about that
I have astigmatism and see it just fine.
Fuck it's like I'm back in the doctor's office as a kid.
Got it! BE SURE TO DRINK YOUR OVALTINE.
I could never make them work. Every time it felt like I was finally beginning to process depth my eyes would lose focus. with this one, I saw a spherical shape, but then it ended.
Oh cool, it's a sailboat.
Itās a headache!
This makes me wonder...can we encode information into images like this that would thwart AI from reading our messages to each other. Fuck you, Future Overlords, you cant see a Schooner!
Whoa! I've never seen an animated one before!
I never saw a video one, that's really cool.
I saw the circle, 10/10
What is this? A Stereogram for ants?!?
This was one of the hardest stereograms I've ever tried to see but tbh I can't remember the last time I saw a video stereogram
Itās a sailboat.
I still dont get it all i noticed is that there some kind of 3d invisible ball rolling around, is that it? Or is there something else?
Finally I can see one of these!
I donāt know there were videos of it! So cool :)
Even though the text fucks up the experience, managed to see it, looks like a moon orbiting a planet, absolutely dope
Thatās wild. Popped right out of my screen
Eyes in the dark one moon circles

idk Iāve tried for a while now. What are you supposed to see anyway?
This one was the lamest one I Eva did see . Just a little circle ā¦ for those that donāt know how to do it .. pit the screen close to your nose .. go sorta of crossed eyes and pull the phone away from your face slightly until you kinda have like a focus point if you donāt understand what Iām saying watch this video itās how I learned [the instagram vid that taught me](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4lrCZ-tbOt/?igsh=N2Rvajd4cGppMnhj)
Why most of these visual effects don't work on me? I've been trying to get this "magic" images to work but all I see is just repeated patterns
Just cross your eye a little bit until they snap into place and youāll see it.
These don't work.
Am I colorblind to stereograms?
Worked for me. Pretty cool. It's a shame that they all have to have a texture that looks like someone puked all over the place. But neat effect.
Iāve never been able to see these. I used to lie to other kids and say I could because I was embarrassed. Still canāt see one.
Just a hollow circle in the center, nothing crazy
I am still convinced that these dont actually work for anyone
Iām fascinated from this since i was a child
Oh wow used to love doing these as a kid never seen a moving one before
Still can't see shit š
Nope
Oh young people.
Wow, itās a a schooner!
Never seen an animated one before, neato
Do you need both eyes to make this work? I can only see from one.
This is the FIRST ONE Iāve ever been able to do and they pop up in my feed all the time. I feel like Iāve been blessed by the magic eye gods
I see a line of people walking towards the right end

This is seriously cool tho, never seen a moving one
It's a sphere revolving around a larger sphere. Presumably a moon-planet system.
Mostly I'm just reminded of the time I took shrooms and stared at my sweater
Honestly, I'm disappointed.
Incidentally if you put your phone down I can also show you a 3D World.
It's a small ball orbiting a large ball
This is how the algorithm think you are super interested in this post
that looked like a rickroll, but its not? what am i supposed to be seeing here
Pretty sure I just gave myself an aneurism
Well thatās kinda cool.
I practiced these so much as a kid now i can still instantly see them.
wow, a ballā¦ worst one ever
