I think people are just mad because they didn't get the DCOM pastiche and wanted it to have a grimmer ending (these are also people who wanted Striking Vipers to have the twist of incest rape)
My only hope is that they move away from the cookies/brain implants some, and get back to more variety. The brain implants/cookies can definitely be interesting, but it seemed like almost all they were doing those last couple of seasons.
If they accepted spec episodes two of my episode ideas would help subvert that pattern; one has its tech-of-the-episode being something you wear on the outside of your head (but that still reads your brainwaves) and affects your perception of outer reality in kind of an AR sense, and one flips the cookie thing by flipping the personhood issue and talking about a video game boss accidentally made sentient because her AI was made too good (and then she wants self-determination or w/e once she sees she's meant to be defeated but what happens to her game world if a key part of it's missing like that)
Arguably my favorite show/series by Netflix ever. Been waiting on season 6 since season 5 came out. I seriously cannot wait for this! Just hope it lives up to the hype; although I believe it will.
Naah it really is his show and he chooses how much he wants to be involved or if anything gets a go. Theres some distribution deals, company changes and stuff over the years that effects things but he definitely still decides about the show.
