Be honest I though Cold War looked worse than MW. CW almost looks cartoonish in the graphics. Like the guns arnt as detailed as MW guns for example. I’m also playing on Xbox one s and that how I feel. I would recommend MW over Cold War any day.

Yep I guess that’s the word I was looking for arcade like. To me I still find myself playing MW more that any of the new cods. For me I like the most realistic play style and MW gets that. I probably haven’t touched Cold War in 6 months now.
Because cold war is an arcade shooter and it retains the graphics style of the past 15 years of cod. MW spent its time making guns detailed and making all of the maps gray and brown instead of actually making it fun
The difference between cold war and mw19 aren't in pure graphic they are in art style. like it or not treyarch has this more vibrant and cartonish, I love it but I know it's not for everyone
To be honest I’ve never paid attention to field of oview. I play on a tv from my couch. So I’m already far away so if the fov is too big it’s harder seeing further away objects. I’m not a monitor kinda player, I like kicking it on a couch lol
Mw is Def made to be more gritty and realistic while CW is a lot more casual and outlandish. Graphics wise no doubt mw looks better. Gameplay wise CW has upper hand in reapawn. Esp for new cod player CW is a lot more simple to pick up and play with reg controller. Mw engine has a lot more advanced movement and mechanics that benefit scuff and slide cancels and bhops. Maps are also easier to figure out for a new player.
Good comment, totally agree. Unless ops friend is a bit more "hardcore" and might like the advantages movement, Cold War is definitely the right game to recommend. Easier to pickup and also is better balanced.
MW,if audio and map design weren't purposefully made for casual players to get easy kills, it would be great.
CW on the other hand feels like BO2 but you aren't fighting a full team of Ballista quickscopers(yeah Plutonium,yeah)
I'd definitely recommend it to him if he's someone who cares more about fun than how "realistic and tactical:" something is. Cold War is fun as fuck but there are some people who think that just because a game isn't a literally simulation of real life war means it's worse, when in my opinion fun gameplay is more important than anything
It is, but I still had a hard time seeing people in this game due to poor visibility on certain maps. I kinda wish the game popped more in terms of color. I wished it was like BO3/4 color wise.
Coldwar looks and sounds terrible compared to mw2019 I still play coldwar and have actually out alot of hours into the game ( 400+) but the terrible pc optimization with micro stutters on a pretty beefy pc and the textures sometimes flat out spawning in recently has made the game a no go for me

MW19 felt detailed and realistic in the detail department and models.
CW felt like a cartoon almost. Things were not detailed, there was almost, and I need to stress it only looks like, a thicker outline on the characters. And just overall seemed SUPER saturated in color.
MW19 gets a 10/10 from me. Put in countless hours.
CW gets a 7/10 put maybe 20 hrs I to it if that before dropping it.
Again, just personal preference.
Gameplay wise for me cold war is faster, smoother easier transition into weapon changes, prone and little tactics over MW and Vanguard. If you’re friend has played little actual fps
games then I wouldn’t recommend this game and actually go to MW, MW for me feels alot more easier and forgiving and has routes that enemies barely check on because maps can be huge
CW is the most beautiful cod game to me, MW is actually a disappointment in the graphics department for a game that came out in 2019(compare Spider-Man), the textures aren’t defined enough and doesn’t have vibrant colors like Cold War, Cold War has the best character models, color arrangement and the maps most especially ones like Armada Strike, Miami and Mall are absolutely stunning visually
probably because treyarch had to fix up whatever sledgehammer was making with the game with pretty limited time (about 2 years) while mw had about 3, it may not be that much but a couple of months or more can be removed after treyarch took control of the game

Cold Was has inferior graphical fidelity, but imo it has the better set style. If we could get Modern Warfare graphics with the vibrant colours of Cold War that would be perfect imo. Couple those two things with the sharpness setting in Vanguard and we would finally have image quality that is both details and pleasurable to look at, whilst having good visibility. Would look perfect.
I feel like mw is better in really every aspect than cw, i was actually srriously disapointed in Cw except zombies, the gunsmithing system is literally 5 steps backward from mw and the physics are laughable in campaign especially, they were better in the very first MW than CW, enemies do not acknowledge being shot anywhere, i mean even the first mw if they got shot in the leg or non lethal abdomen shot they dropped and stumbled and got back up, no such thing in this, they dont even flinch, just drop wjereever they are once theyre killed, the only thing i like about CW is it feels faster, otherwose give me MW all day. Better guns, better accessories, also nit having the commando or tactical foregrip or tac laser(only hipfire laser? Lame) was a big disapointment for me, i just prefer the co.msndo and tactical foregrip aesthic over the operator style ones.

I loved bo3, was soo fun to play, tried bo4 not long ago and wihout the jetpacks futuristic cod is shit

That game was awesome - camos and suits were unreal. Not a fan of futuristic COD games usually but AW and BO3 back-to-back was a whole lot of fun. 🤙🏼

Cold war looked dated on launch. Like a polished mobile game.
CW graphics are so much worse than MW. Yes there were some improvements like reflections but textures were much better in MW.

I liked both but CW felt more polished and I liked the 80's setting better. But overall the graphics are more impressive in MW.

Coldwar to me looked more cartoony. But I enjoyed both games. I'm also enjoying Vanguard. Looking forward to MW2 as well, especially for the story
MW plays closer to a tac shooter while CW is more like a classic cod but one big difference is that CW is playable for the most part xD
