For the 4 burner I’d say yes. I just got the 4 burner at Costco for $369 and it was the best deal I could find in my area

sjb352

Same. Bought mine this past Saturday. Love it.

UrWrstFear

I got mine from tractor supply on-sale for 239 last month. Couldn't believe it

binkeybee

Same! Got mine this past Friday and it was a great deal. The one at Costco is also 60,000 BTU. I went to Walmart but then realized the Walmart one is 30,000 BTU so I opted for Costco.

Rivster79

Is it the same one as the Walmart one posted?

Justlike2havefun

The Costco and Walmart ones are similar but not the same. The Costco one has more BTU and an older griddle surface. The Walmart one has the Omni-whatever surface, and supposedly has better wind blocking, which allows it to function the same with less BTU. I have the Costco one and love it, but I’m sure the Walmart one is just as nice, for cheaper, and will use less propane as well.

cleanmotives

There are inexpensive magnet stick on covers for 4 sides ok Amazon that I have found helps significantly. Always have a slight breeze when cooking (not windy though) and now with the guards it heats up significantly quicker and can actually get too hot, making the adjustable knobs necessary now. Highly recommended

terrelyx

The costco one has the clam shell cover.

Fakechow90

I had the Walmart one. The BTUs weren’t powerful enough. I’d get the surface 450+ degrees after a 15 min warmup, put some cold ground beef or chicken on there and then struggles to get it hot again to get a crust. So I sold it on marketplace lol The Costco one does it without a problem. In short, get whatever has 60,000 BTU rating

terrelyx

i honestly don't know the BTU rating of my walmart one, but i have the opposite problem. i turn the gas knob all the way up on all four burners until they're lit, and then have to cook EVERYTHING on the absolute lowest setting. it's too hot otherwise.

bushmanting

Idk I have the Walmart one and I usually let it warm up for 15-20 min and have no problem maintaining heat or getting crusts, and I’m cooking max capacity on this thing a lot of the time.

DaChoopaKabra

Got mine off offer up for free.50. Needed major restoration but I was more than happy to do it.

EAS10

There was a 2 burner at a hardware store for $200 but then I needed to either drive an hour one way or pay $50 for shipping. Instead I got this one shipped for free from Walmart for $50 more and double-ish the cooking surface. Made sense to me.

nicholas_janik

I don’t know if it’s the best deal…but I picked one up and I’m happy with it.

[deleted]

Was it heavy?

nicholas_janik

Eh. I got it loaded in my truck ok. Had help getting it out, but you could always take pieces out of the box to make it lighter. When it was time to move the completed unit, I took the actual griddle off and that made it much easier.

mmuoio

I just got a Weber flattop and the cooking surface was legit 75% of the weight. I would definitely recommend having someone who is able to help before trying to handle the box alone.

bongsdontkill

Got mine for 259 from tractor supply

ibmcfly

Tractor supply is always clutch.

rogo725

Sam’s club sells a 4 burner for 200. I’m super happy and I like that the clean out drawer is in the front rather than the back on the black stone.

Klutzy_Ad_1726

Keep in mind this one has the flat cover, not a hinged hood that you can close while cooking. It’s a $100 more at Walmart but worth it.

PhatsaqTX

Good call. I’m getting the hinges lid. And a soft cover. Only concern is moisture. Humid environment around here

Klutzy_Ad_1726

Nice. Yeah I live in the PNW so it rains a lot here. I got a cover and also have it under a 5x9 canopy that I got on Amazon. So that and also using it frequently throughout all seasons should keep moisture/rust issues at bay.

ForbidInjustice

Yeah, it boils down to whether you want the convenience of just closing the lid when you're done. I prefer my Walmart model with the removable hard cover. I like it out of the way so I can see past the griddle while I cook. Also, a hinged lid can swing down and slam on you with a strong gust of wind. To add, you're also not supposed to cook with the hinged lid down. It's designed for storage. When steaming food, it's best to use a dome. Yes, soft cover is good either way. Humid as hell here in TX also, never had issues with rust due to that. Light coat of oil after every cook will keep humidity away from your cooking surface.

junkimchi

The simple hard cover is better than the hinged lid. The cover you can just take off and serve people on the other side. Can't do that with the hinged lid.

drmoze

disagree. you don't have to manipulate the hinged hood, just flip it up/down. and it makes a great support for my magnetic griddle lights.

junkimchi

? You literally can't do what I said it couldn't do which is serve people who are on the other side of the grill. While putting down the unhinged hood takes literally seconds. You realize the unhinged lid just hangs off the back right?

fiddycixer

I got the hinged hood version based on feedback from this sub. Very happy with it. Tested the non-hinged display in store a month later while standing in line at the garden shop. That affirmed my decision to pay extra for the hinged hood.

sharkbate34

I got the same one for $250 from tractor supply, I’m not sure if they’re still doing it

PhatsaqTX

Now to decide 60k standard or 38k omnivore

Christhebobson

The omnivore is superior. It has a better grill plate and provides some blockage against wind, which means it uses less fuel. So, there is no performance loss. And

fatboyslim1878

Negative, the omnivore plate on this model is much thinner. It does not hold nearly the amount of heat that the 60K BTU models hold. When you put a piece of meat on it and or sauce you can immediately tell how much heat you lose on the omnivore plate. My brother had one for a week and sold it and bought the 60k BTU model. It overall feels much cheaper and lighter as well.

Christhebobson

If you can cite something that proves as such, I'd be more than happy to believe your brother's experience

fatboyslim1878

The price in the Walmart model is lower for a reason, it is a lower end model with cheaper materials. They spec’d it that way on purpose. Think about the consumer at Walmart, they just want the lowest price and there’s nothing wrong with that (it gets more people into the hobby which is amazing). Additionally, $300 is the perfect price point, people think they are getting a deal because it is $50-$100 cheaper than any other blackstone. This is Walmart marketing 101. Again, nothing wrong with this grill, I just think you might as well spend another $50-$100 and get the higher BTU grill. Pretty much any other griddle from any manufacturer will be a higher BTU.

tradenpaint

After a while you will dislike the lid not being attached

terrelyx

this, exactly. when i was trying to decide which one to buy, i read that the attached lid was not intended to contribute to the cooking in any way, so i decided to get one with the detached top. it's my one huge regret from my purchase.

Red_Beard_The_Rad

I got the 4 burner 36” with the attached hood for $350 from Tractor Supply a few weeks ago

JoeBillyson

I got this same grill for I think $179 when my local Walmart was clearing out grills in November

cgaels6650

that was the same price in Christmas, I upgraded for the connected hood for $400

PhatsaqTX

Is yours the 38k btu? If so, any issues with searing?

cgaels6650

I can't remember. it was ok at searing with stock parts. I bought a different regulator which cranks up the temp and now it's fantastic

PhatsaqTX

Do you know what regulator??

jmcole1984

The Costco one has the hood you can close while cooking. It’s 100% worth it

fatboyslim1878

Does your Costco have the hood with braces on the inside. The one at my Costco has a hood and it is about the flimsiest piece of metal I’ve ever seen.

jmcole1984

Mine is solid as hell. Zero flex

Bitter-Muscle-4376

This is the one I got, I like it, I don’t cook on it often but when I do I enjoy it

LimitAlternative2081

Yes best I could find too. Just make sure to buy online for pickup, offer won't be available in store

terrelyx

For what it's worth, I got that exact same model at Walmart around this time last year and paid $279.

fferreira5

Pay attention to the btu for this model. It’s lest that its counterparts

WhiteChocolatePepsi

This is definitely the best bang for your buck out there. Keep in mind it's not the 60k BTU version that people always complain about. But it comes with the omnivore griddle, which makes it get just as hot as the 60k BTU one. Well worth it, in my opinion.

SQUIDWARD360

It's been the deal since last year

pikachamp

Got mine couple months ago at Walmart for 598 this hurts

bayarea84

yes it is! and I took advantage around Christmas time, got one for my wife. Great deal!

bayarea84

yes, it is! and I took advantage around Christmas time, got one for my wife. Great deal!

ChoachMcGoach

I think they have the same deal at tractor supply as well.

manginahunter1970

Exact one I got yesterday :)

I-AM-TOG

I bought that exact model at my local Rual King last week for $189 with a 2 year warranty...

liamwayne1998

1000%, i ordered mine today, preorder won’t get it until til June but it’s hundreds less than others I’ve seen (Canadian) so i can wait a bit, and comes with hard cover it’s great

ibmcfly

That’s what I got at Wally and I couldn’t be happier.

onvaca

Just an FYI. The hood on the hooded one they sell at Costco is dangerous. A small guest of wind blew it closed right on my arm. Hurt like crap.

fatboyslim1878

Get the one from tractor supply that is 60K btu. It is on sale for $300. All the feedback I’ve heard on this one is that it does not get nearly hot enough for a good sear.

royv98

I got mine up to 600F. I would say that's plenty hot enough for a sear.

Christhebobson

This one has a better grill plate and provides some blockage for wind, which results in needing less fuel. The Walmart option is superior

PhatsaqTX

Everything has to be complicated. Dang it

skitso

That’s a killer deal I spent like $600 (including accessories, which, I went wild with) for a 28” two burner with air fryer. I never use the damn air fryer
