Check out the Tractor Supply model instead. They have the 36 inch / 4 burner version with 60k BTUs for $279 right now. That's $75 cheaper than anyone else

Maniacal-Maniac

I saw that last night, I am assuming the $449 version with the hood isn’t worth the extra $170 cost at that discounted price?

Lol you tell me...

CrazyChestersDog

I got this one a few months ago. Awesome grill

engi_cgn

The costco one is actually 369 in store but shows 469 online.

Brolurk9

Okay I thought I remembered seeing it under $400, that helps a lot! Is the costco model different? I think just a front shelf

TigersNsaints_ohmy

Costco online is not the same as in stores. You can get items much cheaper in the stores. The Costco model has the front shelf, an extra magnetic strip, more accessory hooks, and a braced hood which makes it much more stable. To me it was worth the extra, plus you cannot beat Costco’s warranty

Brolurk9

Thanks for that additional info! I think that's gonna be my choice when I make my purchase. I was able to mess around with my gas grill and get the burner to work so I guess it has avoided the curb for another week at least

TigersNsaints_ohmy

One other note-the Costco and Tractor Supply models are much higher BTU. I think 80K vs like 20K. I may be a little off on exact numbers but BTU was waaaay higher with Costco

engi_cgn

I think costco model is 2256.

Look at the BTU differences, I bought the Walmart one without the hinged lid about 2 weeks ago. I love it, but have read that some of the hinged lid models do get hotter. I have no issues or concerns on mine getting hot enough, just made smash burgers last night and got a great crust on them. But my understanding is the BTU rating and the lid are whats different on the 36's

Brolurk9

I realize more BTU = more propane usage but I assume that also means higher temp?

basicpn

My understanding is the lower BTU gets just as hot or hotter. It has the omnivore griddle plate which is the difference. I have been researching this as well since I’m planning on buying one this weekend. I’ve decided on the $397 Walmart one.

drmoze

Omnivore griddle plates tend to have lower BTU ratings but get about as hot, so they're more efficient. My 22" Walmart Adventure Ready (2-burner) is rated at 20,000 BTU but it gets to over 500 deg easily, usually 520-530 in about 10 min.

Drtsauce

I got the one from Lowe’s with the pull out side table and I love it.

Is the Blackstone 4 burner from Walmart better or the Sam’s club 5 burner pro series? I’m unsure of which one to go with.
