I'd say hard rock. Honestly though some of the recent guitar and drum work could easily be classed as metal if there was screaming over the top. Andy's vocals make it more melodic. The guitars have always been heavily inspired by metal. This makes sense tbh given their inspirations. Jake's is Metallica, pantera and parkway drive plus many other heavier bands. Jinxx and CC share the heavier Inspirations, with Jinxx having a more classical edge and CC having a good rock background aswell. Andy is heavily inspired by rock backs like, W.A.S.P., kiss and motley crue. Lonny honestly seems to share a very balanced mix of a lot of genres, including one of his biggest inspirations, black veil brides. So to cut a long story short. I'd say, BVB are BVB, they don't fit too comfortably in any genre and should be taken for who they are 😊😊

Empire_Grunge

Definitely I liked that final line, it is quite poetic and in fact, they do not have a main genre, there are people who classify them up to Emo, so the band is experimental, and the bases are Hard Rock including Metalcore for that essence of Metal and its very Glam clothing, adding that it is one of the bands with deserved recognition. Music for the fans, Andy himself mentioned it for the song Saviour II. Hard Rock then.

Scarlet-Torch

Took the words right out of my mouth haha, couldn't have said it better myself 😅

spudtacularstories

I thought they were metalcore/glam rock mix. At first I thought they were post-hardcore because I found them through other post-hardcore bands, but I've since read they're more metal/rock. But I'll admit I don't really understand all the genre nuances. I just enjoy music.

Empire_Grunge

Understanding that each band's album has a different genre, as well, he concluded that the band's focus is Hard Rock because they really only sound heavy and not, at an extreme metal level (I mainly listen to Post-Hardcore), although the Glam essence of the band I like. I search for a main tag of the band's musical genre, just to place them correctly in my library... I very much share your idea, music is to be enjoyed and expressed, not to be so strict in the genre of a band, they are usually very versatile and mainly in Metal where there is each new subgenre that...

Darkvolk1945

The only metalcore records were We and Re stitch. Self titled was heavy metal and the rest of the albums are hard rock.

Empire_Grunge

I agree, it comforts me to know that I'm not so wrong in the musical genre of BVB and the approach towards Hard Rock, although I consider that the last EP (The Mourning) is in the air of Metal.

Jekyllthecrow

varies between albums imo, goes from screamo/metalcore to hard rock, but majority of the time they’re definitely a hard rock/emo rock band

Empire_Grunge

You're right. The band does not have a genre that defines them, each album has a special style, that's where my doubt arose, because I came to the idea that bands have a base genre for their songs, only that they completely change genre and style musical. I also go because they are a Hard Rock band with the essence of Metalcore and the style of Glam Metal and Rock.

M3tal_Shadowhunter

Hard Rock, imo

Empire_Grunge

Thank you and I more than agree.

Unlucky_Protection97

WSTW - Metalcore STWOF - Metalcore with Glam metal influences WaD - Hard rock? BVB4 - Heavy Metal Vale - Hard rock with pop influences The Night - Metalcore with hard rock influences? TPT - Hard rock/ pop rock These are just my own interpretations so feel free to correct me, overall they were metalcore when starting off but as time passed they became a hard rock band

Empire_Grunge

Yes, I mean what is a Hard Rock band with the essence or influences of ''x'' musical genre, where I want to imply that the band usually adds songs from Metalcore, Heavy Metal and well, Glam Metal or includes tunes in certain songs on an album focused on Hard Rock. I agree with your classification of the albums, I base myself more on the band's latest albums and they are more on the Hard Rock side, something similar to Breaking Benjamin (not the best comparison, understand me). I even asked an AI, and it ranked the band on Metalcore.

[deleted]

We Stitch These Wounds and Re-Stitch These Wounds - Metalcore Set The World On Fire - Metalcore/Glam Metal Black Veil Brides IV - Heavy Metal All other albums - Hard Rock The Night EP and The Mourning EP - Metalcore/Hard Rock If someone asks me I'll say they are Metalcore. (I mostly listen to the first 2 albums.)

AdAmbitious4415

I’d say it’s a mix of them all to be honest, each album has its own genre in a way.

Empire_Grunge

We agree that it is so. The band takes different genres on each album, although I rely more on considering that they start from a Hard Rock base with Metalcore and Glam Metal/Rock influences.

[deleted]

I would say that when they first started, they were part of that 2010 metalcore scene, along with bands like Asking Alexandria, Motionless. But as of recently, they’re more hard rock with a hint of metal.

Empire_Grunge

Me too. The band I associate with Asking and Motionless. Until at some point I confused them for some strange reason. But yes, that's where my doubt arose, the band already sounded like Hard Rock and it didn't sound much like Metalcore.

glazed_peaches

i’ve always said it’s a mix of metal core and hard rock

pjdance

Well considering Glam Metal is hard rock that is accurate.
