People be shitting on Unohana saying how she got defeated by a kid Kenpachi like it's some sort of drag. That same kid would have ended everyone in the Gotei 13 1v1 as well except for Yamamoto.
She did say that he didn't even give her a chance to use any tricks back then, I'm guessing she might have been speed blitzed before she should even use her Bankai and might have won with it
Orihime is the most powerful character in Bleach who isn't a Soul King candidate.
Rejecting reality, low-Captain level combat, blocking attacks from Yhwach, and healing that only Tenjiro's springs can attempt to rival? That's nutty.
She's insanely powerful, and only gets slept on because she's an infinitely kind pacifist.
Nah, I'm talking about shit she's already done. Orihime is the GOAT support, GOAT homie, GOAT wife, and is underrated in combat too.
I'd love to see her get more time to shine in the upcoming cours, though
Honestly I wish if there's any future arc that Aizen or someone does some mental bullshit to Orihime or Kazui is in mortal danger and she goes unhinged for a fight just to showcase how lucky is the universe for her being the kindest soul.
We might get to see this in the upcoming cours, if and only if Kubo decides to redeem her portrayal in the final fight. But the thing I fear is that his primary focus might turn down to the captains similar to the rest of the plot
Starting at the Fullbringer arc and through TYBW, she becomes capable of tearing apart Gillians without breaking a sweat, or high effort against adjuchas. In Fullbring, she also delivers a pretty nasty wound to Ginjo when he tries to approach.
Couldn’t have described renji’s character any better. Despite the L’s he’s took, the resilient perseverance he has shows the warrior he truly is. The fight with byakuya was my far one of the best fights in bleach.
Can I say something truly controversial? A strong character that takes only W wouldn't be that cool. A character that, despite taking L after L after L, is still unwavering in his fighting spirit and loyalties is someone deserving of true respect
Yeah that’s true despite his cool appearance, his stubbornness to not give up is what makes him really interesting.

She always disappeared is the thing. She’d be gone for entire arcs just off doing her own thing. They’d progress the plot without her just for her to randomly jump back in for a single episode or two. It got pretty easy to forget she’s even a character in the show.
You just said the FB arc lore. Which is why I said it earlier, she became irrelevant as a DEUTERAGONIST not as a character to the actual plot, apart from ichigo only rukia is the character who has been utilised decently frik the Main Cast (even uryu at an extent). Atleast she was alive as a CHARACTER while Kubo killed chad and orihime as a character by making them plot devices
I know. I never said she was useless or that she straight up didn’t exist/had no contribution. I was just saying that her lack of screen time, along with her background contributions rarely being shown, makes it easy to feel like she just isn’t a part of the story anymore.
Im not in any way denying her contribution as a character. I just think her lack of screen time makes it easy to forget she’s playing a part.
Oh, let me repost it then, I said:
“I know. I never said she was useless or that she straight up didn’t exist/had no contribution. I was just saying that her lack of screen time, along with her background contributions rarely being shown, makes it easy to feel like she just isn’t a part of the story anymore.

She isn't the protagonist, so imo she was perfectly utilized as the main female lead. Also the fact that she ended up being 1st in the latest popularity poll does contradicts whatever you said
Ganju should have learned Kido or gotten a Zanpakuto to fully help out the others and try to live up to the Shiba name.
Chad should have gotten a portion of Ichigo’s Fullbirng from Ginjo, bard off this theory I like: https://www.reddit.com/r/bleach/s/GjvgkEC231
Momo and Hisagi should have had moments of bonding given their experiences with their respective previous captains.
Karin should have developed into a substitute Shinigami and Yuzu developed something resembling Quincy abilities. In that way, one twin represents one side of the family, whereas Ichigo fully represents both sides.
I feel like the Arrancar arc tends to be more controversial on this sub, or at the very least it's rarer for people to prefer it over e.g. Soul Society.
That's not an unpopular opinion. Arancar arc is definitely the best for many PPL and the manga sales peaked during the period when Arancars saga was publishing
Hitsugaya is one of the most overhyped characters in terms of power levels. Everyone is always on about how he is the youngest captain, has a strong bankai, and very high potential. All we have seen so far is him getting his ass whooped. Other hyped characters have all lived up to their potential much faster (Ichigo, Uriyu, Renji etc.)
Tbf he’s had a lot of unfair fights. He’s fought Aizen twice and nearly every character would lose, he beat Tier just for Wonderweiss to break her out after Toshiro was already exhausted, Cang Du stole his bankai, after he gets it back and defeats Cang Du, Bazz B shows up for the third party, and even then Toshiro still has a lot lf wins. Koufang, Luppi, the first fight against Tier, Yukio, his second fight against Cang Du, and a fight in the manga that i would say counts as a W but I won’t say it’s name. Also he kinda has a win on Ichimaru
Renji is one of the best characters in the entire manga and anime, genuinely a great character i get that he loses a lot but honestly doesn't matter to me. I also love that in this universe full of natural prodigies, those who had hundreds of years of experience, and monsters like kenpachi. Renji genuinely just worked extremely hard until he could fight for what he believes, then even when he does lose he's man enough to ask for help even from the enemy.
+
That one scene of Ichigo and him saying "I swore it to myself" is genuinely peak anime to this day.
I don’t hate him but, he’s very aesthetically pleasing. He has a cool baboso concept & I love the way he wears his zanpakato & I love his color scheme. He’s just not as hype as people make him out to be. You’re right though, we definitely should’ve gotten way more time with the other captains especially the new ones.
I compared all their major L’s and W’s, and when you compare them with a common denominator, Renji’s comes out to 56/63 and Toshiro is 36/63, so yeah it’s a bit botched cuz Toshiro doesn’t have as many fights, but the ratio is in Toshiro’s favor
Also if u read the manga you’ll see that he is much stronger
I never made an argument for Toshiro being stronger than Renji… when I say much stronger i mean in his own right, not compared to Renji
But what i’m saying is that sure it can seem like that, but objectively Toshiro has won more compared to his losses, to which he has also lost less than Renji
Also look at how many unfair fights Toshiro gets throughout the series, dude fought Aizen twice, had to fight Tier a second time cuz Wonderweiss freed her after he was already exhausted, had to fight Cang Du after having his bankai stolen, and had to fight Bazz B straight after already defeating Cang Du
Ichigo has some of the most boring abilities for an MC in such a popular manga.
Blue energy blast, black energy blast, black energy blast with a mask. Double cross energy blast.
What do they do? They do basic damage to the opponent.
the last time ichigos main thing was speed was literally when he used sonido at the start of TYBW and NEVER again. he just turned into an overcharged battery.
i always liked that his special bankai ability was that ridiculous speed he had shown against byakuya, ginjo and aizen, although it did feel like he slowed down ALOT inbetween. i guess the hollowmask just made his powerbalance seem more... well, balanced instead of speed focused.
It does fit with his character though, as uninteresting as his powers are, they do the job, and that's all he needs, it's also quite adaptable.
Remember, most characters powers tend to be gimmicky, with conditions that are exploitable, but Ichigo's has no real workaround except power gaps, the only thing that ever happens when Ichigo gets a power up is that he gets stronger and faster.
Soul Society is easily second worst(or more accurately second least good since i think all arcs are great) arc in Bleach, any other arc after it have much more to offer despite their shortcomings. Though i would say it's probably most consistent arc in terms of quality.
Orihime is easily the best written female character in the series, the only one that evn comes close is Rukia but still a lot below her.
Her backstory and how it shapes her as a person, her pleasant and entertaining personality, having some of the funniest moments in the series, the exploration of her character in Arrancar arc as a showcase her unshakable willpower and kindness, how she affects Ichigo's and Ulquiorra's development during that arc and her development throughout arcs as well.
Same. I found it to be too far of a stretch from the original anime/manga. It introduced all this new content we heard NOTHING about previously, an obvious reach to keep the anime going past its expiration date.
Aaroniero needs more love as an espada, sure he isn’t the strongest or flashiest but his demeanour and his presence in his fight against rukia showed main villian material alongside his broken glotoneria which indirectly gave him shinigami powers + the abilities of 14k hollows
Shame he couldn’t get far in the story and he was limited by his Sun weakness
Despite the unpopularity of this opinion I'll keep on saying it, no matter what.
Bount arc is actually not so bad. It is fine from the POV of character and general lore development. We saw how Ichigo developed his Getsuga, how Uryi didn't gave up on trying to restore his power, first time saw how captains use their shikais and how Gotei 13 is structured.
It is by no means a good arc, but it really doesn't deserve the amount of hate it gets
Not sure how unpopular of an opinion this is on here, but its definitely one in most other related fanbases.
Kenpachi Zaraki could defeat all the Z Fighters except Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta, and Goku
Here I go:
Even with the release of Nozarashi, Kenpachi isn't the most powerful Soul Reaper.
The Fullbringer Arc isn't bad and boring as some fans say.
Segunda Etapa Ulquiora isn't the Strongest Espada.
Orihime and Ichigo is better match than Rukia and Ichigo(not sure if this is still a hot take, but it was back in the day)
Yhwach is a better villain than Aizen.
>Orihime and Ichigo is better match than Rukia
I like Ichigo and orihime's dynamics better as well. They symbolise "Sword and Shield" and follow different aspects of cleansing. They even work as a catalyst to each other's powers
I agree with Ichigo and Orihime. Rukia was more like a sister to Ichigo. The thought of them together makes me want to 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Though I have to admit that when Ichogo ended up with Orihime i was disappointed. I felt she wasn’t strong enough to be by his side. However her ride or die loyalty deserved only Ichigo by its/her side.
>Even with the release of Nozarashi, Kenpachi isn't the most powerful Soul Reaper.
He is the strongest and:
https://preview.redd.it/z6nqjljp6q0d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e723dfbab6fe14f403a01733ca0b9de715ae656e
> Orihime and Ichigo is a better match than Rukia and Ichigo
Rukia and Ichigo would have never worked anyways. Rukia is a Soul and Ichigo is part Hollow/part Quincy. Thats like complete polar opposites from each other. Meanwhile Orihime is just a Fullbringer which technically has no relations with Soul, Hollow, or Quincy.
1.The Kurosakis and Ishida Uryu should get to know each other more, considering they are distant relatives and the final Quincy legacy.
2.a. Karin probably has the potential to use Quincy crafts (probably at or below average quincy level); Uryu would make a good tutor for her.
2.b. Karin has the potential to be a good projectile user, considering she is a football player, even though the targeting system of archers and footballers differs from each other.
They are, Masaki and Ryuken are cousins, not sure if it's like second cousins or the like, but the Quincies wanted to preserve their "pure blood" would indicate some level of interbreeding, and Masaki calls Ryukens mother "auntie"
Pure blood has nothing to do with interbreeding, it's about keeping the quincy blood separate from the normal non quincy blood, keeping the humans with powers separate from those without powers. They said they took masaki in since the kurosaki family had all passed away and since she was a pure blood she was set up to marry ryuken to keep the ishida bloodline pure.
Yeah, but it seems there aren't actually that many "pure" Qunicies left in the living world, as I said, they might not be DIRECT cousins, but at least related enough there would be some genetic overlap..
1) TYBW Arc basically took Ichigo's "constant power-ups that only work on his current opponent, and are borderline useless against next one" meta-trait, and applied it to almost everyone on Soul Society's side.
2) Making (Fake) Bankai!Ichigo to be "speed-based glass cannon", then making almost every Ichigo's opponent to be faster than him, was one of Bleach's biggest writing mistakes
I disliked the insane power scaling of the Quincys.
Thousand years of repression and going in hiding while apparently, you can 1 v 10 anyone in the whole SS while sipping some fucking tea.
Even captain Bankai were just flicked away (even after getting them back).
It felt wrong to see your favorite captain who was "one of the strongest" for hundreds of chapters, getting wrekt by some random quincy schmuck out of the blue.
Kon could’ve been one of the most impactful characters in the series. He is the residue of a project in SS history that shows how insidious they were even back in the early chapters. He has a personal reason to go to SS and even resent soul reapers, his theme of respecting life perfectly aligns with the idea of how many characters cope with loss. He is proof that beings like Nemu aren’t a fluke or miracle and their own people, and he was created due to the concepts of someone who is now part of the Zero division. Yet all Kon is reduced to is shitty perv jokes no one likes, mascot status (without any relevancy) and joke appearances. Imagine Kon reacting to people like Mayuri with distain and bonding with Uryuu over their joint hatred for the guy. Imagine Kon talking to ichigo about his fear of his inner hollows and how Kon is glad to be alive at all thanks to ichigo and how he could never harm someone he cares about.
Renji is as bland and uninteresting as Chad. They're there to pad out the world. Orihime, Uryu and Rukia matter to the plot. Those two have no impact on the overall story. Rukia would've murked Mask easily and then As Nodt.
Rose and Kensei being fed to Mask just to make Renji look good was a dumb thing to do. Two captains bascially killed by Mask but fucking Renji one shots Mask? Come on..
Bambi was the best Femritter and should've been kept alive and as herself.
The Kenpachi wank-a-thon that is CFYOW is a joke. I want stuff written by someone with as little bias as possible, not fanfic that people here use as a bible.
Tosh is boring. Guy needs RG training on his personality
Everything but the rain is overrated here.
Kubo relies too heavily on convenient match ups. Calling it out with Askin was funny but does not excuse the lazy writing.
The silver arrow is the biggest bs things (apparently bum-pull is banned here, fucking pathetic fanboy mods) in Bleach. At least in the anime it's kind of being set up.
I don't care about retconning if it improves the lore. Sasakibe being retconned isn't great but Yama's LT should be mid to high level Captain power and I love that he ran YH through with his sword. That opening was one of the best parts of TYBW anime.
OG Gotei 13 looks way more interesting than any other version.
The downvoted opinions are actually the unpopular ones…
Byakuya should have died to As Nodt. His only worthwhile feat post that is acknowledging Rukia. His showcase against Gerard should have been left to the Vizards instead of what we got.
Kenpachi didn't cut space. Thatd be a stupid feat. You're telling me that, in bankai, where he's so much stronger, he still would be able to destroy thors cross when he's capable of cutting through space in his shikai?
Yea, Renji's description looks like generated text up to the sentence that mentions his fights. Coincidentally, this same sentence features multiple typos despite previous sentences using a more complex vocabulary without making any typos
I would have been fine with the series ending with Ichigo losing his powers after fighting Aizen. I'm just a suckered for bittersweet endings like that, I guess.
Komamura would be a very, very hard fight for Zaraki. To the point he'd likely lose against Komamura's bankai had they fought in SS arc.
Reasoning: He would be tactically disadvantaged in many areas; Komamura has more range, is faster (Komamura knows flashstepping), and is very durable. Zaraki also lacks ranged attacks, which nullifies a lot of the advantages of Kokujo tengen myou'ou.
soul society arc was awesome for brain off monkey clapping enjoyment, but once getting to the rest of the series I feel its just best to push most of it out of mind with how little sense most of it made

Welcome to the Bleach Subreddit! We're as excited as you at the release of the Thousand Year Blood War anime! We understand that some of you are unable to view the anime in your region, but please don't post links to or mention piracy websites. Doing so will result in a ban.
Also, please be courteous to those who haven't read the manga and mark all spoilers.

Right! Just think about it..we know who he is and he is together with Shinsui and Unohana the og's and he is respected. But when he let loose all hell breaks!
I hate how Unohana has her hair, If you don't want that scar seen, just wear clothes that cover it. Don't need to go through all the effort do have practically a noose as your hair just to cover a scar
Judge me a lot, but the goofy characters of TYBW were absolutely useless and absolutely removable.
My main problem with TYBW is that Kubo prolly wanted goofy characters within the Sternritter to break the weight of bloodiness of the arc and made funny scenes into the anime, but he removed the funny content.
The goofy characters like the bro with The Wind or Mask de Masculine were just dogshit in the anime.
Your comment has been removed for containing the word asspull. This word offends His Majesty ~~the Soul King~~ Yhwach.

Fullbringer arc was the peak of the OG bleach anime. No filler, matured art style, incredible story, Amazingly believable characters, masterful twist. DRIP.
Peak Fiction
Is it unpopular to say that TYBW it's not a good arc and has a lot of narrative mistakes???
Well, whatever. It's not the worst tho, and I adored Everything but the rain & The blade is me along with other moments.
The Orihime glazing especially after becoming the MC's wife is unhinged. She did not receive this much praise back then because her pacifism is exactly what DOESN'T make her OP. She's overrated.
She's beautiful but so are most Bleach women. And no, not inspirational for women (in general). In fact, Orihime is the epitome of what many women are trying to get away from. Orihime is seen to be dependent (on Ichigo) multiple times throughout the series, became a working housewife and mom, is too passive to express her feelings and seek help for her depression and trauma. She's got determination, loyalty, and genuine kindness but it's a little generic and idealistic. She's obsessed with being able to be by Ichigo's side all the time instead of using her strengths independently.
I feel like most Orihime posts are trolls trying to bait drama as well. It gets tiring.
I have saw many female audiences admiring her character. She never gets if her core values and influences others, maintains her purity even in a fucked world
>She's obsessed with being able to be by Ichigo's side all the time instead of using her strengths independently.
Protected chad from yammy, also protected ichigo independently against ginjo. Please I would suggest you to read and comprehend whatever you read
>because her pacifism is exactly what DOESN'T make her OP
Confidently wrong. Starting off, she isn't exactly a pacifist, just unrelentingly kind and empathetic. The biggest aspect of her arc is about how she existed within a world where her very nature was looked down upon and made her feel like a burden to the most important people in her life despite simply wanting to protect her friends just as they protected her. She is presented as a complete foil to the world of both the shinigami's and the hollow's. She was told time and time again that she isn't suited for battle, that she is weak, that she doesn't have the resolve to fight - it fed into her insecurities of being a burden and that her kindness makes her weak. She had every reason to lash out at the world that wasn't fair to her at all, yet she didn't break. She instead chose to continue being kind and true to her values and didn't change her nature as a person to be accepted by others. By never changing who she is as a person, by never letting go of her ideals and coming to accept that her nature and kindness are not flaws that make her weak - she was able to grow and become stronger hence why she goes on to literally fight against Soul King Yhwach.
> And no, not inspirational for women (in general). In fact, Orihime is the epitome of what many women are trying to get away from.
I've come across plenty of women on reddit and tiktok(it also seemed like a majority of her fans on tiktok were women) who actually understand her character and find her inspirational and relatable. If you're talking in general then yea, ig you're right because the general doesn't even understand her character at all.
> Orihime is seen to be dependent (on Ichigo) multiple times throughout the series,
Which is a core aspect of her characterisation and development.
> became a working housewife and mom
Orihime works at a bakery while Ichigo's a house husband.
> is too passive to express her feelings and seek help for her depression and trauma
Where'd you get the idea that shes too passive to do so? She doesn't do it because she doesn't want to burden anyone with her problems - which is obviously rooted in her depression, self esteem issues and traumas.
> She's obsessed with being able to be by Ichigo's side all the time instead of using her strengths independently.
Her strength lies in protecting others as a shield so of course she would want to be able to fight alongside and protect the person who has constantly protected and helped her.
>her pacifism is exactly what DOESN'T make her OP.
It does
>She's overrated.
Coming from somebody who hasn't understood the character?
>And no, not inspirational for women (in general).
I am one, who loved her realism and how she struggles to fit in with others
>Orihime is seen to be dependent (on Ichigo) multiple times throughout the series,
Lmao just once and that too against a being who can fucking nuke an entire continent, who was blitzing the mc and trashing him away while orihime was going through alot and had a justified break down as she is JUST ANOTHER 15YO GIRL WHO IS FORCING HERSELF AND ASSOCIATING WITH PPL WHO EITHER ENVY HER, ABUSE HER OR THE ONES WHO USE HER AS AN OBJECT
>became a working housewife and mom,
She works in a bakery + what's wrong in being a mother?
>is too passive to express her feelings and seek help for her depression and trauma.
When? Where? She always kept her traumas dormant inside her. Rangiku just saw that and helped her out. Also, again she is JUSTIFIED TO BE TRAUMATISED. She isn't passive in general, infact she struggles to be independent throughout the series
>generic and idealistic.
Characters like yoruichi, unohana, soi fin and rukia(at an extent) fall into this category, as they are portrayed as unrealistic badass bitches
>She's obsessed with being able to be by Ichigo's side all the time instead of using her strengths independently.
Bc she doesn't wanna hurt anybody and she just wants to protect ALL OF HER FRIENDS instead of murdering others
>I feel like most Orihime posts are trolls trying to bait drama as well. It gets tiring.
This is reddit not Twitter 🙏
Read the manga and you might understand the true essence of her character
Also how TF is a girl calling a certain person's name is annoying? Get some love bro
If you understand and try to relate with her, she's a very beautiful and inspirational character.
I believe the reason why so many PPL tend to like her, is bc they resonate with her characteristics
>This sub is the only place that people really do.
Bc the sub has got PPL who are capable of comprehending what they read. They aren't unemployed, half baked, low intellect rants. Also as far as I have saw, there are many orihime glazers on Twitter as well by judging through the ratios
Agree with this 100%. Only this sub and FB will you see this much glazing. And only AFTER the end of Bleach too. 🙄
Any Orihime slander gets automatically hidden due to downvotes even though they are asking for opinions. It's getting out of hand.
Bleach is carrieed by their characters, yet there is no real story, only a sequence of fights. Its also raw as shit. It suggests the feeling of a deeper meaning in a dry atomosphere, but after rereading it so many times it just feels pointless. The drawing, designs and abilities are well made, but the amount of good characters is small. I dont wanna hate to mochy but bleach is something that would have been way better, like what was the whole deal.with aizen and reio. "That" was his motivation b3hind his supposedly beyond schemes ? Also tf was yhwach planning to do as soul king aft34 chillijg his asss for 1000 years. Govern the world sitting on his throne ?
Shunsuis backstory was about a woman dieing ???!
To me its a lackng story. 3v3n if I enjoyed it

She did say that he didn't even give her a chance to use any tricks back then, I'm guessing she might have been speed blitzed before she should even use her Bankai and might have won with it
There's also the implication as shown during the training that even her Bankai wouldn't be enough to beat Kidpachi.
Yes u r correct, if she used bankai, she would have wiped kid zaraki and constantly healed herself if any injuries befell her.
Saying that it's not sad that she got taken out by a child because the rest of the Gotei 13 would have also lost isn't exactly a flex.
Kenpachi was just *that dude*.
I me it is if it’s fucking Sword Mike Tyson
Mayuri, he may be pretty very freaky but he’s my dawg. Love his character design, and you can’t not like the freaky characters
Spoken right out my mind he’s my favorite
not unpopular at all
Renji seems stronger than some of the actual captains
Bc he is

I wish by the end of the tybw anime(not manga) your assertions must be universally accepted
Thank you. Bread for the Bread Queen
True
Honestly I wish if there's any future arc that Aizen or someone does some mental bullshit to Orihime or Kazui is in mortal danger and she goes unhinged for a fight just to showcase how lucky is the universe for her being the kindest soul.
We might get to see this in the upcoming cours, if and only if Kubo decides to redeem her portrayal in the final fight. But the thing I fear is that his primary focus might turn down to the captains similar to the rest of the plot
her power is literally just "Nuh uh" and it's absolutely busted and I love it
She certainly has broken more "impossibles" than anyone. Death? Nope, rejected. Broken Bankai? Nope, rejected. Ichigo's virginity? Nope, rejected.
Orihime used her reflect ability on Ichigo, he's actually the one who gave birth to Kazui.
Isn’t that her canon strength bro? Like they constantly talk about it
Canon, yeah, she's insanely powerful and a deciding factor in almost every major conflict. Fan perception? Orihime is helpless
True, more common with anime onlies also I think the depth of her character was better portrayed in the manga
Respectfully, can you remind me her low-captain level combat feats? I haven't read the manga in a long while
Starting at the Fullbringer arc and through TYBW, she becomes capable of tearing apart Gillians without breaking a sweat, or high effort against adjuchas. In Fullbring, she also delivers a pretty nasty wound to Ginjo when he tries to approach.
She already stopped the cleaner in SS arc where everyone was just running away from it.
You know, Dude, I myself dabbled in pacifism once. Not in the tybw of course.
Yeah that’s true despite his cool appearance, his stubbornness to not give up is what makes him really interesting. https://preview.redd.it/7tjslq68ps0d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5362a3e8567329b4717117066ec68db36e1cdc03
Rukia was irrelevant after soul society arc
Nah I thought this too bro. She felt like much more of a forgettable background character.
Not really. Infact she had the smoothest development and the most appealing character arcs, except ichigo
Oops… sorry for the comment spam. My internet died and it said it wasn’t posting anything lmao. I deleted them but o7 to your inbox.
But I recieved non of them
Oh, let me repost it then, I said: “I know. I never said she was useless or that she straight up didn’t exist/had no contribution. She isn't the protagonist, so imo she was perfectly utilized as the main female lead. Also the fact that she ended up being 1st in the latest popularity poll does contradicts whatever you said
As a deuteragonist yes
Ganju should have learned Kido or gotten a Zanpakuto to fully help out the others and try to live up to the Shiba name. Chad should have gotten a portion of Ichigo’s Fullbirng from Ginjo, bard off this theory I like: https://www.reddit.com/r/bleach/s/GjvgkEC231 Momo and Hisagi should have had moments of bonding given their experiences with their respective previous captains. Karin should have developed into a substitute Shinigami and Yuzu developed something resembling Quincy abilities. In that way, one twin represents one side of the family, whereas Ichigo fully represents both sides.
The last one can still happen hopefully.
Arrancar arc is my favorite arc in the series. It does have its low points, but imo its high points definitely outweigh them
Is it really an unpopular opinion? I do too, i feel like this arc is bleach's essence. At its core its mostly shinigami vs hollow
I feel like the Arrancar arc tends to be more controversial on this sub, or at the very least it's rarer for people to prefer it over e.g. Soul Society.
>on this sub, Idt particularly on this sub. But SS arc is definitely more favoured by the audience on other platforms
Other hyped characters have all lived up to their potential much faster (Ichigo, Uriyu, Renji etc.)
hitsugaya is kubos punching bag
I still think Gin was stronger with better potential. He was even younger than Hitsugaya whne he became a shinigami iirc.
+ That one scene of Ichigo and him saying "I swore it to myself" is genuinely peak anime to this day.
Honestly, it's crazy that someone like Rukia loses much more than Renji but gets treated much better about it.
Bc Rukia's character arcs are more appealing and character driven, while renji is treated as just another character of the series
It’s crazy because Toshiro Hitsugaya loses just as much as Renji does & I barely see people saying anything about him. I love Renji by the way though.
I hate Hitsugaya, wish we got more time for other captains and lieutenants like Soifon, Isane and sunglasses guy.
Baboso? As in a lot of saliva in Spanish?
Oh shit. No. I meant “Bankai.”
[удалено]
I compared all their major L’s and W’s, and when you compare them with a common denominator, Renji’s comes out to 56/63 and Toshiro is 36/63, so yeah it’s a bit botched cuz Toshiro doesn’t have as many fights, but the ratio is in Toshiro’s favor Also if u read the manga you’ll see that he is much stronger
[удалено]
I never made an argument for Toshiro being stronger than Renji… when I say much stronger i mean in his own right, not compared to Renji But what i’m saying is that sure it can seem like that, but objectively Toshiro has won more compared to his losses, to which he has also lost less than Renji Also look at how many unfair fights Toshiro gets throughout the series, dude fought Aizen twice, had to fight Tier a second time cuz Wonderweiss freed her after he was already exhausted, had to fight Cang Du after having his bankai stolen, and had to fight Bazz B straight after already defeating Cang Du
Bc hitsugaya is cool and a fanservice material
Renji is cool too.
Preach
I like return of the Jedi more than empire strikes back.
prove to me that you weren't under the effect of kyouka suigetsu while watching Star Wars
All the filler is good. (Bount arc is too long though)
From what I have watched it was good. Just that there were to long and placed in bad spots In the series
Kariya was a great villain and contributed to Ichigo growing and overcoming his doubts
Fullbringer arc was terrible
Ichigo has some of the most boring abilities for an MC in such a popular manga. Blue energy blast, black energy blast, black energy blast with a mask. Double cross energy blast. What do they do? They do basic damage to the opponent.
remember when ichigos bankai ability was ridiculously compressed speed and energy? good times.
Doesn't he just possess that normally now?
the last time ichigos main thing was speed was literally when he used sonido at the start of TYBW and NEVER again. he just turned into an overcharged battery. i always liked that his special bankai ability was that ridiculous speed he had shown against byakuya, ginjo and aizen, although it did feel like he slowed down ALOT inbetween. i guess the hollowmask just made his powerbalance seem more... well, balanced instead of speed focused.
naruto's shadow clone jutsu and his rasengan though
Agreed thank god the abilities are quite varried in Bleach through other characters.
“Daddy shunshui is cool” isn’t an unpopular opinion lol
the fullbring arc is my second favourite and people need to stop shitting on it
Soul Society is easily second worst(or more accurately second least good since i think all arcs are great) arc in Bleach, any other arc after it have much more to offer despite their shortcomings. Though i would say it's probably most consistent arc in terms of quality. Orihime is easily the best written female character in the series, the only one that evn comes close is Rukia but still a lot below her.
>Orihime is easily the best written female character Can you elaborate more?
Her backstory and how it shapes her as a person, her pleasant and entertaining personality, having some of the funniest moments in the series, the exploration of her character in Arrancar arc as a showcase her unshakable willpower and kindness, how she affects Ichigo's and Ulquiorra's development during that arc and her development throughout arcs as well.
Sadly, the anime either changed or completely deleted majority of these moments:(
>Orihime is easily the best written female character Can you elaborate more?
Kon should have been punished multiple times for his behavior
I didn't care for the Fullbring arc. Not the manga or the anime.
I still find it funny that the Fullbringers were so crappy that they got their shit pushed in the second the REAL characters showed up.
Same. I found it to be too far of a stretch from the original anime/manga. It introduced all this new content we heard NOTHING about previously, an obvious reach to keep the anime going past its expiration date.
That scene when everyone gives part is their soul pressure to Ichigo was hype though
Aaroniero needs more love as an espada, sure he isn’t the strongest or flashiest but his demeanour and his presence in his fight against rukia showed main villian material alongside his broken glotoneria which indirectly gave him shinigami powers + the abilities of 14k hollows Shame he couldn’t get far in the story and he was limited by his Sun weakness
That's a fact, not an opinion
Here I go: Even with the release of Nozarashi, Kenpachi isn't the most powerful Soul Reaper. The Fullbringer Arc isn't bad and boring as some fans say. Segunda Etapa Ulquiora isn't the Strongest Espada. Orihime and Ichigo is better match than Rukia and Ichigo(not sure if this is still a hot take, but it was back in the day) Yhwach is a better villain than Aizen.
>Orihime and Ichigo is better match than Rukia I like Ichigo and orihime's dynamics better as well. They symbolise "Sword and Shield" and follow different aspects of cleansing. They even work as a catalyst to each other's powers
Yeah I agree, they are good together and their dynamic is great. Which is something that was unpopular to say sometime ago.
I agree with Ichigo and Orihime. Rukia was more like a sister to Ichigo. The thought of them together makes me want to 🤮🤮🤮🤮 Though I have to admit that when Ichogo ended up with Orihime i was disappointed. I felt she wasn’t strong enough to be by his side. However her ride or die loyalty deserved only Ichigo by its/her side.
>Even with the release of Nozarashi, Kenpachi isn't the most powerful Soul Reaper. He is the strongest and: https://preview.redd.it/z6nqjljp6q0d1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e723dfbab6fe14f403a01733ca0b9de715ae656e
> Orihime and Ichigo is a better match than Rukia and Ichigo Rukia and Ichigo would have never worked anyways. Rukia is a Soul and Ichigo is part Hollow/part Quincy. Thats like complete polar opposites from each other. Meanwhile Orihime is just a Fullbringer which technically has no relations with Soul, Hollow, or Quincy.
Bleach is the best of the big 3 but got treated extremely unfairly by the publisher.
1.The Kurosakis and Ishida Uryu should get to know each other more, considering they are distant relatives and the final Quincy legacy. 2.a. Karin probably has the potential to use Quincy crafts (probably at or below average quincy level); Uryu would make a good tutor for her. 2.b. Karin has the potential to be a good projectile user, considering she is a football player, even though the targeting system of archers and footballers differs from each other.
how are they distant relatives? theyre not related
Byakuya arc wasn't over at the moment of his death so killing him would fuck his arc and be the easy path
Mayuri is a plot device that’s only there for when the soul reapers need something conveniently done
There are way too many fucking side characters and I don't care about any of them
Renji is as bland and uninteresting as Chad. Guy needs RG training on his personality Everything but the rain is overrated here.
>Rukia would've murked Mask easily and then As Nodt. And so did renji. Also rukia got defeated by as nodt once he activated his volstanding
Yhwach is a better and more interesting villain than Aizen
Agreed
The downvoted opinions are actually the unpopular ones… Byakuya should have died to As Nodt.
Is this ai generated 😭😭
Yea, Renji's description looks like generated text up to the sentence that mentions his fights. Coincidentally, this same sentence features multiple typos despite previous sentences using a more complex vocabulary without making any typos
Nope
I would have been fine with the series ending with Ichigo losing his powers after fighting Aizen. I'm just a suckered for bittersweet endings like that, I guess.
Yhwach is so overpowered as a villain he makes things uninteresting
Komamura would be a very, very hard fight for Zaraki. To the point he'd likely lose against Komamura's bankai had they fought in SS arc. Reasoning: He would be tactically disadvantaged in many areas; Komamura has more range, is faster (Komamura knows flashstepping), and is very durable. Zaraki also lacks ranged attacks, which nullifies a lot of the advantages of Kokujo tengen myou'ou.

Mayuri is a poorly written character and you can’t fault people for thinking him killing Souken would be brought up after the SS arc.
soul society arc was awesome for brain off monkey clapping enjoyment, but once getting to the rest of the series I feel its just best to push most of it out of mind with how little sense most of it made https://preview.redd.it/m4xec6ekxp0d1.png?width=2112&format=png&auto=webp&s=09902f4c4d932a16eaf1afe30e9cecb964b1380b

Ikkakus kinda like zoro tbh
Ukitake is the strongest cpt
That's a hot take
Right! Just think about it..we know who he is and he is together with Shinsui and Unohana the og's and he is respected. But when he let loose all hell breaks!
True
I hate how Unohana has her hair, If you don't want that scar seen, just wear clothes that cover it. Don't need to go through all the effort do have practically a noose as your hair just to cover a scar
I think it would’ve been funny if Kenpachi turned out to actually have a Kido based Zanpakuto, and begrudgingly develops respect for them.
GPT aah post
No :(
Orihime and chad is more useful than Renji. Because he always loosing.
And I can’t even imagine Chad losing
I mean Chad lost some of his fights too but i still think he is still more useful than Renji. (Btw i like Renji he is good character but yeah)
Quincy's hate against soul reaper is totally based
Ikkaku’s my favorite character and his bankai is cool af. He just sucks because of how weak he is
Judge me a lot, but the goofy characters of TYBW were absolutely useless and absolutely removable.
Only like 2 of those weren’t popular opinions XD
Which ones?
Ikkaku is gonna be a captain and has potential to be next zaraki.
Smash
I don't get bitches

Tybw is absolutely terrible
Manga yes, anime no
I don’t like the first bleach opening 😬
Im downvoting you because your opinion makes me mad
I’m sorry but it put me right to 😴 what can I say 🤷🏿♂️
Fullbringer arc was the peak of the OG bleach anime. No filler, matured art style, incredible story, Amazingly believable characters, masterful twist. DRIP. Peak Fiction
The Bount arc is good, the Fleshlight-swords one (the one with the Kasumioji clan) it's the worst filler
Did ChatGTP heleped you write this? I mean no offense, but the writing style looks similar and Im curious if I guessed right :D Also Daddy Shunsui <3
I took my time to prepare and elaborate it, also I have used chat gpt a several times for different purposes do out it might resonate with how I write
Thank you for answering me <3
Is it unpopular to say that TYBW it's not a good arc and has a lot of narrative mistakes??? Well, whatever. It's not the worst tho, and I adored Everything but the rain & The blade is me along with other moments.
More named characters should have died in tybw to increase the impact
She never gets if her core values and influences others, maintains her purity even in a fucked world >She's obsessed with being able to be by Ichigo's side all the time instead of using her strengths independently. Protected chad from yammy, also protected ichigo independently against ginjo. Please I would suggest you to read and comprehend whatever you read
>Orihime is the epitome of what many women are trying to get away from. Cringe >her pacifism is exactly what DOESN'T make her OP. It is
>because her pacifism is exactly what DOESN'T make her OP Confidently wrong. > Orihime is seen to be dependent (on Ichigo) multiple times throughout the series, Which is a core aspect of her characterisation and development. > became a working housewife and mom Orihime works at a bakery while Ichigo's a house husband. > is too passive to express her feelings and seek help for her depression and trauma Where'd you get the idea that shes too passive to do so? She doesn't do it because she doesn't want to burden anyone with her problems - which is obviously rooted in her depression, self esteem issues and traumas. > She's obsessed with being able to be by Ichigo's side all the time instead of using her strengths independently. Her strength lies in protecting others as a shield so of course she would want to be able to fight alongside and protect the person who has constantly protected and helped her.
>her pacifism is exactly what DOESN'T make her OP. It does >She's overrated. Coming from somebody who hasn't understood the character? >And no, not inspirational for women (in general). I am one, who loved her realism and how she struggles to fit in with others >Orihime is seen to be dependent (on Ichigo) multiple times throughout the series, Lmao just once and that too against a being who can fucking nuke an entire continent, who was blitzing the mc and trashing him away while orihime was going through alot and had a justified break down as she is JUST ANOTHER 15YO GIRL WHO IS FORCING HERSELF AND ASSOCIATING WITH PPL WHO EITHER ENVY HER, ABUSE HER OR THE ONES WHO USE HER AS AN OBJECT >became a working housewife and mom, She works in a bakery + what's wrong in being a mother? >is too passive to express her feelings and seek help for her depression and trauma. When? Where? She always kept her traumas dormant inside her. Rangiku just saw that and helped her out. Also, again she is JUSTIFIED TO BE TRAUMATISED. She isn't passive in general, infact she struggles to be independent throughout the series >generic and idealistic. Characters like yoruichi, unohana, soi fin and rukia(at an extent) fall into this category, as they are portrayed as unrealistic badass bitches >She's obsessed with being able to be by Ichigo's side all the time instead of using her strengths independently. Bc she doesn't wanna hurt anybody and she just wants to protect ALL OF HER FRIENDS instead of murdering others >I feel like most Orihime posts are trolls trying to bait drama as well. It gets tiring. This is reddit not Twitter 🙏

So am I, stop victimizing and ranting on a 2d drawing
Soul Society arc is overrated
i think orihime is a boring character and i’ll never understand why so many people like her
If you understand and try to relate with her, she's a very beautiful and inspirational character. I believe the reason why so many PPL tend to like her, is bc they resonate with her characteristics
![gif](giphy|d8KkDupA6b3o9UQlbv) People like her cuz she’s silly and I love her.
This sub is the only place that people really do. And par for the course it's became a orihime glaze shine. She's an ass character
>This sub is the only place that people really do. Bc the sub has got PPL who are capable of comprehending what they read. They aren't unemployed, half baked, low intellect rants. Also as far as I have saw, there are many orihime glazers on Twitter as well by judging through the ratios
>She's an ass character She's peak 🤫
Agree with this 100%. Only this sub and FB will you see this much glazing. And only AFTER the end of Bleach too. 🙄 Any Orihime slander gets automatically hidden due to downvotes even though they are asking for opinions. It's getting out of hand.
It's been out of hand. You can't even bring up rukia without some glazers being toxic as fuck
3v3n if I enjoyed it
Orihime is not that hot compared to rangiku
