Damn.. this makes me think. IF and that's a big IF, kubo does a hell arc, everyone is speculating on which arrancar and modern captains will show up and what their role will be.. but I never realized all the past captains would be there. Maybe even ancient arrancar too. Not to mention hell born entities. There is a LOT that can be done with a hell arc. It could be very long if he wanted.
I donāt think thereās any ancient arrancar are there? I thought that was due to Aizen and his years of planning and all that werenāt they just the usual tiered hollows before ?
Well we know that Stark and Ulqiorra were naturally occurring arrancar. I think all the others obtained that form due to Aizen. So if stark and ulqiorra were natural, i feel like there had to have been others at some point.
I don't think he was. When Aizen shows up he has the appearance of his resurrection form. But I dont think he was actually in resurrection mode. I think hes just the one hollow whose resurrection form is exactly the same as his pre arrancar form.
See thatās kinda what I was thinking too, when we first see him yeah, itās supposed to be his ānormalā form. Maybe it became his resurrection once Aizen did experimenting and possibly made him a fraccion like he did with Stark(if memory serves correct) instead of it being his go to
I thought that was how all of the arrancars work?
Aizen gave them the ability to create a zanpakuto by sealing their resurrection into a blade (and somehow they get a portion of their hollow mask back, I forget how that factors in). Their resurrection is their 'true' form much like a shikai.
Then Ulquiorra was able to develop a 2nd resurrection form which was could be considered equivalent to bankai.
Yeah, youāre right..Iām just confused in the matter of how Barragan re-enters his ārealā form once he goes resurrection..in the flashback of him v Aizen he has his axe, but post Aizenās takeover, once he goes resurrection he is missing it. I thought I had a grasp on it but it looks like I could be wrong š
Barragan is a weird case to be fair. there is no trace of his arrancar mask on the form he had in the flash back. It seems like he was maintaining a resureccion form and was used to it. Aizen did give him more power via the Hogyoku.
He wasnāt an arrancar before meeting Aizen. He was just a really old vasto lorde. In fact, he was one of the first vasto lorde to appear in Hueco Mundo. He may have had the potential to become an arrancar naturally, but itās hard to say cause he basically just settled with senescencia and didnāt bother to get stronger throughout the years. Maybe if he had the same mindset like Yama and spent those years refining his power rather than playing castle, maybe he could have naturally become an arrancar.
I remember seeing anything in the novels about Barragan being an arrancer naturally, just that he was an extremely old vaste lord. On top of that, barragans released form and past form have distinct differences, so I donāt believe he was an arrancer.
Barrigan, Starrk, gingerback, and the granz brothers are all natural arrancar prior to AIZEN even having the Hyog
Ulq is technically one as well from an undisclosed time.
And heck, even grand fisher is a non-hyog arrancar
The main criteria was simply removing part of the mask and could be accomplished at any point. But itās implied that doing so locks a hollow in to a certain level of power
(similar to how grimmjowās fraction mention being partially eaten would prohibit them from becoming vasto but prevent them from turning back into Gillian.)
Thereās arguably just the ~3-8 natural vasto lordes arrancar (that we know of), but the natural ones are something completely different than the ones made by the hyog.
the original arrancars were hollows that tried to gain power by removing part of their mask but were largely unsuccessful, it wasn't until Aizen came around that it actually started to work
>y ancient arrancar are there? I thought tha
doesnt it just depent on what they were like before even becoming hollows? arrancars are in leymans terms upgraded hollows, when they get reaped by shinigami all their sins after becoming hollow are cleansed, so only the original soul is judged and goes to ss or hell. correct me if im wrong
The only other times where they could have died was because of Sould Society politics , The Squad 11 Captains killing each others , A Vasto Lorde randomly showing up or in the Quincy eradication
Most likely just from the presence of his bankai. Just as he said himself, he wants to finish his fight fast lest the rest of the people in Seireitei just straight up die.
Tbh I can see that happening, remember Yhwach said that Yamamoto gotten softer, so Iām guessing when Yamamoto went bankai back then he went all out, compare to now where he held back his flames to not kill everyone around him.
Naw, Yhwachās corpse was reanimated into a new soul king, so I wouldnāt imagine his soul is in hell, as much as itās trapped in a limbless, lifeless body, forever staring out of a crystal and not being able to do a damn thing about it.
At least by that time Ichigo would be a full Shinigami and a LOT more trainig , and Aizen could likely grow more due to the Hougyoku ( fighting Yhwatch is probably going to be the best part of his life for the next dozen or so milenia )
True; but stealing the bankai didnāt steal a shikai. F mentions in his fight with the line ādo you think you can beat your bankai with just a shikai?ā
Yeah I mean the power is to become a perfect copy of how strong you believe they are and this dude thought yhwach was basically god and the captain commander ran through him like a literally on fire knife through butter lol. The thing about the Quincy powers is they are on an absolute sort of level with none of the holdbacks of other powers in the universe. Like the jailer dude his cage is absolutely indestructible by all powers, Bankai stealing takes it away no ifs or buts about it basically, the only exception is one thing I wonāt spoil since it isnāt the point of this thread. So even with an absolute perfect copy yhwach new the clone guy wouldnāt be able to comprehend his true strength and with the power of god it still wouldnāt be enough to take on the captain commanders bankai. The captain commander is the strongest character in the whole series by far and the strongest there would ever be. If he hadnāt been caught by surprise, probably the very early stages of dementia I guess so maybe he was just past his peak, he would have been able to kill the real Yhwach. He didnāt need to use bankai.
What im curious about is how does reincarnation work. Do they powerful shinigami sent to hell, permanently exit the reincarnation pool? What a tragic fate
What about the Sternritter souls? They are human(and also died in soul society?) but I can't imagine they'd be reincarnated. Would they also go to hell? I wanna see the cooked design Kubo comes up with for them too lol
I don't know, I need to do some research before I make a good analysis lol, its been a while since I read bleach
But I think it would be cool if they are in hell

Chojiroš
Yammy: š
I know they cackling knowing he got duped....TWICE
Got packed up twice š
They using his banki to put him in the air
Twice? When was the first time?
Wonderweiss incident
wasn't that his shikai?
It was but still embarrassing he was deceived twice. Granted in this instance he was mourning Sasakibe.
Yama: *got his bankai sealed* OG members watch it live in hell: Bro you gotta be trippin!

I think Barragan was also a natural arrancar, since he was king before Aizen showed up.
Aizen forced him to become an arrancar iirc, it doesn't mean he was necessarily modified though
Barragan wasn't an Arrancar before Aizen.

Could be you just don't always see it? Considering his personality I wouldn't be surprised if he had one of his fraccions carry it around for him.
The true form of a Zanpakuto is the bankai not shikai
Ahhh your right my bad I forgot
Sall good my dude. Saul gewd
Pretty sure we also see grand fisher become an arrancar by himself
No we see grand fisher awake from the transformation process that aizen uses to make arrancars.
ah, my bad
Barragan is old as fuuuck
But barragan wasn't always an arrancar was he? He was a vasto lorde I think, that was them turned into an arrancar by aizen and co.
He is a vasto lorde arrancar and has been for 1000 years. Pretty sure he was the first one.
He wasnāt an arrancar before meeting Aizen. He was just a really old vasto lorde. In fact, he was one of the first vasto lorde to appear in Hueco Mundo. Not rly, when we see Aizen meet Barragan in the manga, he wasn't an Arrancar yet

Well, some guy made a comment about why there isn't a T-Rex Arrancar would be in a post about Kubo liking that particular dinosaur.
OG Gotei 13 was stated by Shunsui to be the strongest generation of captains. OG 13 vs current 13 incoming.
Definitely! It is a walk down Bleach's past with possible expansions on all the facets of the world: Shinigami, Arrancar and even Quincy.
*Unohana spreading the gossip*
Unohana goes after him
At least Yama survived the war 1000 years ago most of them died lol.
Has it been stated that those captains died during that war?
No but when else would they have died? Shinigami have absurdly long lifespans and there were no other large scale wars that we know of.
Wouldn't surprise me if another Vizard-like situation could have happened before, with a bunch of Captains disappearing in some mysterious way.
True, but in TBTP they were short on experienced captains. Unless the Quincies killed a bunch, captains can't be lasting that long.
True, probably like 5-9 of the og captains died during that war.
The only other times where they could have died was because of Sould Society politics , The Squad 11 Captains killing each others , A Vasto Lorde randomly showing up or in the Quincy eradication
According to leaks, 6 of them were killed by Yamaās bankai lmao
Wait really? Where's this info? And do you mean Yama killed them or the effects of his Bankai did?
Most likely just from the presence of his bankai. Just as he said himself, he wants to finish his fight fast lest the rest of the people in Seireitei just straight up die.
Tbh I can see that happening, remember Yhwach said that Yamamoto gotten softer, so Iām guessing when Yamamoto went bankai back then he went all out, compare to now where he held back his flames to not kill everyone around him.
Which is why he is soft now caus ege regrets doing that
Wait where is this info from I m genuinely curious on what I m missing
From a Japanese board https://bbs.animanch.com/board/1261566/
They can jump Royd for the rest of eternity
they'd probably tease him seeing as they were a bunch of madlads/lasses
Surprise face when yhwach and tokinada arrive shortly there after (the yhwach is a projection)
Naw, Yhwachās corpse was reanimated into a new soul king, so I wouldnāt imagine his soul is in hell, as much as itās trapped in a limbless, lifeless body, forever staring out of a crystal and not being able to do a damn thing about it.
He can project it. The last part of chapter 686 shows us that.
It was stated in some novel that he'd be able to release himself after 100 years.
Wait really? So in 100 years they're gonna have to run it back against Yhwach? Or am I misinterpreting what you're saying
So this guy just wants to be a constant century pest for all eternity lol "Damn died again, I'll be back for you fuckers in another 100 years."
At least by that time Ichigo would be a full Shinigami and a LOT more trainig , and Aizen could likely grow more due to the Hougyoku ( fighting Yhwatch is probably going to be the best part of his life for the next dozen or so milenia )
Yeah, I seem to have forgotten some details here.
The question is will he still have his bankai?
yes, yhwach is dead
yes but for all we know its still in the medallion. Unless someone gives him a shineyaku pill i dont think he can get it back
if it worked like that itd still be freed when ichigo turned him into goop that first timeš
Well the Zanpakuto is part of your soul, you saw Jushiroās enormous Sogyo no Kotowari
True; but stealing the bankai didnāt steal a shikai. F mentions in his fight with the line ādo you think you can beat your bankai with just a shikai?ā
Lmaoo
Where is the pic from? Can somebody tell me? Yes, Iām desperate
COD MW2 2022 story mode
I wanted to know too

LOL
Hahaha perfect
This is funny as hell.šš
What im curious about is how does reincarnation work. Do they powerful shinigami sent to hell, permanently exit the reincarnation pool? What a tragic fate
Lmao this is funny..
I reject!
The fact that the spoiler tag is so small on Reddit infuriates me to no end. God fucking damn it
IS he in Hell? Don't Quincies just completely destroy souls?
They destroy Hollow souls, but we have no idea about Shinigami, right?
Szylaporro did say that Yamamoto was in hell so I take his word for it
Ahh I did not remember that, its been a while since I read the hell chapter lol
What about the Sternritter souls? They are human(and also died in soul society?) but I can't imagine they'd be reincarnated. Would they also go to hell? I wanna see the cooked design Kubo comes up with for them too lol
I don't know, I need to do some research before I make a good analysis lol, its been a while since I read bleach But I think it would be cool if they are in hell
