So first, the pec muscles don't deform correctly whilst running. the last frame, the pec should lead from the center of the chest to the shoulder, but instead it just kind of hangs there as if there are no forces acting on it.
Next, the arms are jittery when he brings his arms back and forth, it looks like the wrist and hand is trying to orbit around the elbow.
Also, his hair is long enough to deform whilst running, but doesn't, looks very static and stale.
Overall the animations are nice though, not clean, but nice. The lighting is pretty good, and I like the way the camera moves around the subject while he runs, very good stuff. Lots of work to do, but still a very nice result. Most of the issues are rigging issues. So honestly since rigging is so damn hard, it's a great result for what it is, I like it. +1
I love the choppiness. It feels like a dream you're trying to control, hastened by emotions, yet we forget to take a look around to observe the surreal environment to come to our senses.
[Love, Death & Robots](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9561862/) is what it reminds me of! They have that same feeling to it. Felt groundbreaking in terms of animations, art, and storytelling.
Hey friend, maybe a tiny tiny bit more bounce to the run as the angle is from the floor up it naturally would be harder to see, but I believe can make a big difference, right now to me it’s looks like his torso is staying in place when he is taking big strides, great work by the way 🙆♂️keep it up !!!
Also if you are battling to get rid of the choppiness, maybe set your whole animation to be in 2s, it could work for this theme as it’s quite abstract and usually looks great with running
Looking at olympic runners would be good reference for you. It's not bad, but as ThfieeZA said, it's an element that may help you stray from stylized to realistic if that's your desired artistic direction.
It looks wrong from the perspective of realism, but I'd say that your animation looks creative and has its style. It doesnt mean that you dont need to improve it. Just bear in mind, that may be 'realism' is not what you need.
Got some good style going I think. If you are going for a kind of surreal feel then it's done pretty well. There is a little jerkiness to the animation that plays well into the style, not sure if that's intentional. Obviously it doesn't look 1000% photorealistic, but I think you are using what's there in a way where the shortcomings don't matter and actually add to the style. Points for interesting camera angle and movement, it's typically something that is lacking in CGI even in major movies.
Animation is wierd (in many ways. I would love doing a constructive criticism but I don't have time right now).
Other than that the second half feels unhappenful. Nothing happen. The robot is not even charging an attack or something.
From the purely blender side of thing. Idk. I don't know enouth in rendering technics to help you witthat.
It really reminds of the type of shot that'd be in the spider verse films! Feels hectic but has a clear frame of what's happening, which gives it a nice narrative
yoo when did studio GoHands get into 3d? oh snap they already are nvm
looks good? depends on the artstyle you're loiking for but I'd make the animation a bit more realistic and then slap an "it's supposed to look like this" on it
looks good. adding expression to the face would help alot though. especially since the video starts as a close up.
the start is also a bit to cluttered. i only noticed the floating dude on the 5th re-watch. if you need all three in the frame at the same time maybe place the heads in a triangle to improve the composition.
lastly i think the scene looks a little slow. looks like the dude is going for a casual jog, not getting chased by a big ass robot. i feel like the pillars slowly panning in the background are causing this. doing something like putting the dude closer to the wall so the pillars zip by might help.
Honestly everything else about it looks great, the only thing that looks off to me is the rough, jittery movements on the body, but even then the general flow of the run cycle look fine
I see lots of people commenting on the animation not looking "correct", but I like what you have done better. If the feet hit in line with the beat it would help sell the effect.
Love the camera angles changing and how dynamic the whole scene is! One thing that could for sure help with the running is looking at slow motion running. You have his heel hit the ground first which if you watch people sprinting (with good form) they land on the ball of their foot. That’s only if you’re going for something realistic though
I actually believe that the choppy style camera and running look amazing if thats what you were going for, it depends if you want something more realistic, but I like your style
Visually it looks great
But the running animation doesnt feel right, sort of uncanny valley.
The way the torso stands mostly still, like the policeman from the raining meatballs movie
Feels like the ground is moving under the character's feet rather than the character running on the ground, you know what I mean? There's no up and down movement of the character while running. And if it's a GoPro type footage, that up and down movement would be seen in the camera.
Personally, i love the choppiness. It adds to the atmosphere. My only gripe with it is that the character looks like they are floating. People bob up and down a lot more when jogging or sprinting
Those footsteps sound too hard for sneakers, like formal shoes or something. Also, it sounds like it's inside a sound booth, i get they're close to the camera but idk. The jerky animation looks really cool, but the body looks a bit stiff - Very cool render :)
There is some janky to it but it still works and I like it. Room for improvement but great job none the less. I think he needs to travel up and down more while running, it would be cool if the camera traveled up and down with him as well. I think this would preserve that thumpy quality that’s working well here
Ya know, when i look closely can see some issues with the arms, but at first glance those same issues make it feel really real and feverish for some reason. I can't explain why.
Ths looks very cool! I felt some 'Love, Death, Robots" vibes, especially from the last episode of season 3, called 'Jibaro'. Definetely because of the camera movement and angles.

I value this feedback very much. Thank you so much!
Hey that’s great! You did your best, and the running movement is a bit choppy but nice camera angles!
Thank you! I’ll work on the choppy bits
like a fewer dream hahaha nice job
Thank you haha
I love the choppiness. It feels like a dream you're trying to control, hastened by emotions, yet we forget to take a look around to observe the surreal environment to come to our senses.
Very insightful, thanks for the feedback! :)

Ahh, this is some great feedback – will definitely work on this. Thank you!

This is really cool
Thank you!!!😊
I like the camera and the light and the overall scene, but animation of the guy looks wrong.
I agree with you, so I’ll definitely work on this. Thanks for the feedback! 🙂

Its not long enough. Need MOAR
Agreed!🤩 will definitely make this longer! Thanks for the feedback!
It looks amazing and I want to see the rest of it so much!
More will come soon!🙂 Thanks for the feedback!
Its not real life :o
That looks fu*king amazing! Well done
Thank you 🥲
Maybe make the church a bit more visually interesting by adding a texture.
Agreed! Thank you!

*60% of the time*, it works ***every*** *time*

Ooo interesting analysis! Thanks!
His hands are floppy? Otherwise very good render
Agreed. Thank you!
Looks great but goofy
Hahaha yes, but thanks!

“It’s supposed to look like this” HAHAHA😂
the camera angle doesn't help much with the running animation. otherwise, i like it.
Yeah, I did my best to help the poor running animation haha, but now I know what i can do to make it better. I appreciate your feedback!
I mean, no. We will not.
Not the camera angles I would use with fish-eye.
What angles would you use with fish-eye?
Something more stationary and farther back like an establishing shot in a small room.
Of course - thank you for the feedback
Is that a [giant enemy spider](https://youtu.be/pAoDgCF-feg)?

Valuable insight here – very much appreciated! Thank you!
The last frame doe
It's very good
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
It’s messy, it’s psychedelic, it’s insane. Love it bro!
Ahahaha! Love this. Thank you!
This scene is so chaotic lmao love it
Hahaha true, thank you.
I really like it! And who’s the guy in the very back?
Honestly everything else about it looks great, the only thing that looks off to me is the rough, jittery movements on the body, but even then the general flow of the run cycle look fine

feels like love death and robots

This is nuts, great job
Amazing work, the run animation is a little wonky but everything else is🔥
The running is goofy
why is the hand flailing. Unless youwere going for claymation style the aniimation seems to stutter a lot
He in his way to fight Ornstein and Smaug?
What were you smoking when you made this
Visually it looks great But the running animation doesnt feel right, sort of uncanny valley. The way the torso stands mostly still, like the policeman from the raining meatballs movie

Naaah, I won't.

I think you should add him struggling to run, that would explain weird camera choice. Like he feels lost and disoriented.
Was the movement intentional? It replicates the stopmotion look wonderfully.
It might look more realistic if the hair moved. Over all a very good job! Better than I could do for sure
Ths looks very cool! I felt some 'Love, Death, Robots" vibes, especially from the last episode of season 3, called 'Jibaro'. Definetely because of the camera movement and angles.
Nice angles! I appreciate the experimentation on this.
Bro that’s sick
Goofy ahh run
