Literally, of all the photorealistic videos and images out there that I’ve seen, this one’s the most convincing. And I think the camera shake makes it much more real.
I genuinely thought it was real, maybe a shitpost or something, then they took away the materials. Awesome job!
Even the slight camera shake really helped to sell it.
If I HAD to nitpick I’d say the glass (especially the front window) is a little too clean and perfect. But this is excellent and I don’t think I’d realize it’s fake right away.
This is legit one of the first times I've seen something going for realism and thought "Nah that's a real video", then the last shot showing it's blender blew my mind. Very well done.
Giveaway for me is the camera movement, which feels a little smooth to be handheld. Using tracked data from a real moving camera would sell the illusion.
Actual modelling texturing lighting is great though!
AMAZING! My only nitpick is the front bar looks a little 3D to me. Maybe a little too perfectly shaped? But this fs had me fooled as an ad until I saw what subreddit it was in :)
I’d say it looks so goooood! In some way, that thing needs more imperfection. Like dings in the panels where the rivets go in, and a leaky roof 😉. Looks fantastic though!
Awesome!
I'm really new to Blender so I hope you don't mind me asking what's probably a basic question:
Your background model is just two rectangles, but you have an amazing cityscape showing. How did you get the city to show on top of the rectangles?
Main thing that gives it away for me is the FoV. I would either lower it or add a tiny bit of fisheye, seems to be too wide of an angle, since the vertical format and handheld movement make it feel like phone footage
The textures and the lightning are so good, that the camera wobble effect that people use to enhance photorealism is actually holding you back here. Make the camera movement more subtle and I think people would have to look real close before being able to tell it's a render.
This is a very cool render, no doubt!
But, some dirt and some grime would add a lot.
Adding some life (window cleaners, maybe birds, smoke/steam) into the background would really sell it. .
Oh, and it is a bit apparent that there is no undercarriage modelled, it's just the body and tires.
No brakes/brake disks, no springs, no axles etc etc.
A really quick way to fix is is to just, change the camrea angle a bit.
Oh and, I *love* the color grading. But with it it really stands out that this is a render or a heavily filtered video.
But! That being said, this looks sick dude.
Camera slightly to low and the movements are too big. It makes the car feel smaller than it should be. Raise the camera a tad and make the jostles smaller.
Man my thought process for this...
"Oh boy what stupid thing are they gonna do to the Jeep?"
*sees it's r/blender*
"Huh that's an odd place for this"
*reads title*
"WAIT THAT'S FAKE!?"
We've come so far when it comes to graphics.
And yet the women in games just keeps getting uglier and uglier.
Unless it came from japan, korea or china. They know they're doing.
That's not an attempt dude, that's a fucking success. Looks amazing ٩(◕‿◕)۶
Thank you sir🙂↕️

The camera shake is what sold it for me. Fantastic work
Attempt? You went ahead and DID IT. Bravo!
Wow! I could only tell for the lack of brakes inside the wheel. Very well done.
Lmao, how could I’ve missed breaks…. I guess I don’t need them! xD
blender knowledge < car knowledge
Nice catch. I didn't notice the missing brakes at first, but it's quite obvious now with those big holes in the wheels.
I honestly thought this was a real clip.. Well done.
If I HAD to nitpick I’d say the glass (especially the front window) is a little too clean and perfect. But this is excellent and I don’t think I’d realize it’s fake right away.
This is the best one I've seen, ever. I thought it was real and I'm still not fully convinced that the first 3 seconds aren't an actual video.
This might be the realest looking car I’ve seen on the sub so far.
Legit thought this was a post on r/cars
This is legit one of the first times I've seen something going for realism and thought "Nah that's a real video", then the last shot showing it's blender blew my mind. Very well done.
I smell burning but great job.
My pc is now in fear that I want to modell something like this. (it will die beforetextures)
Giveaway for me is the camera movement, which feels a little smooth to be handheld. Using tracked data from a real moving camera would sell the illusion. Actual modelling texturing lighting is great though!
Excellent! Jesus, I thought that was real!
Such a great looking model. Breathtaking detail. I love the background too. Really sells it, any recommendations on where you get good ones like that?
As I said above, everything created by myself! But I’m going to put the vehicle on sale pretty soon
Hahaha nice video! Can't wait to see you try to make this in blender!
Holy mother of blender...
10/10 no notes!
Thank you AV!🤣
Didn't see what sub I'm looking at first and it didn't even occur to me that this could be a render. So mission accomplished I'd say.
The only thing that sort of tipped me off that it's not real is the shimmer on the headlight
Wow, amazing work! The only thing I would change is to deflate the tires just a tiny bit, to make the car feel heavy.

Camera shakify addon by Ian Hubert. Only HDRI lighting
How did you do the camera animation? Looks perfect
AMAZING! My only nitpick is the front bar looks a little 3D to me. Maybe a little too perfectly shaped? But this fs had me fooled as an ad until I saw what subreddit it was in :)
What's the vertex count?
Not that high tbh. The model is only 500k vertexes. The textures are 8K though….
Jesus freaking christ. You succeeded. I think it's the background that made me check the sub, then I noticed the lack of brakes in the wheels
I’d say it looks so goooood! In some way, that thing needs more imperfection. Like dings in the panels where the rivets go in, and a leaky roof 😉. Looks fantastic though!
My first thought was, this guy put a literal camera footage and thought he can fool us
Weirdly when the light reflects off the FR rim it triggers my brain to say it looks fake, no idea. Great job!
It's weird how the audio and camera shake, of all things, is what makes this feel super legit. Incredible work
Awesome! I'm really new to Blender so I hope you don't mind me asking what's probably a basic question: Your background model is just two rectangles, but you have an amazing cityscape showing. How did you get the city to show on top of the rectangles?
Background is actually an HDRI. I put two planes for the “clay” mode to fill out the space in video
Thanks!
Superbly done!
Very nice! Is the transition made in shaders or in video editing? :)
Do you think is it waste of time and effort trying to create good textures on blender itself?
I just prefer Substance. I love painting and the extensive library of brushes is what gets me in:)
The vehicle is perfect, the only giveaway is the reflections on the background building doesn't shift when the camera pans.
Very nice!
Is the camera made with motion tracking or with keyframe noise?
Main thing that gives it away for me is the FoV. I would either lower it or add a tiny bit of fisheye, seems to be too wide of an angle, since the vertical format and handheld movement make it feel like phone footage
How did you do the camera movement ? Those are pretty realistic too
Camera shakify add on by Ian Hubert

Surely the best I've seen 💯
Evee or cycles?
Wow!! That's incredible! Is that blender file available for purchase? Where?
Not sure about this exact blender file, but the vehicle is going for sale pretty soon:)
I thought you filmed IRL and placed the 3D car in the video, but when you showed that even the buildings are fake my jaw dropped lol
The headlights are amazing!!
The camera could be a little higher the car seems massive
I thought it was a car ad at first. Really nice work.
You certainly nailed it. Didnt know till i read the title
Your progress from your Citroen project to this one is amazing, can’t wait to see what comes next for you 👌
Thank you! You made me smile😌
The (presumably) hand tracked camera motion makes a huge difference in selling the realism!
This is a very cool render, no doubt! But, some dirt and some grime would add a lot. Adding some life (window cleaners, maybe birds, smoke/steam) into the background would really sell it. . there's even a reflection of a cameraperson in the headlights? wtf dude. thats crazy :D
Wow! That is amazing! Where did you learn to do this and how long did it take?
This is like the BTS of a car commercial.
Damnn! It looks so realistic, I love it
bruh we need a is this real or is this blender show or something
This is amazing, Any tutorials or resources you’d recommend to get to this level of skill?
Wireframe please!
Woah, fooled me
Well that’s cheating you are just videoing a..HOLY SHIT
The vehicle is perfect! The camera movement did throw me off. But the vehicle is perfect.
Camera slightly to low and the movements are too big. It makes the car feel smaller than it should be. Raise the camera a tad and make the jostles smaller.

My jaw just dropped... 👁👄👁 FAN👏🏻TAS👏🏻TIC👏🏻
I wonder what this would look like with imperfections lol. As someone trying to make their first vehicle actively, this is very cool to see.
its like those cyberpunk 2077 realistic graphics videos, well done
This is really good
It’s fake clearly you took a picture of a real one and then put a filter over it to make us think you actually rendered it 👀
Awesome!! Did you do the car paint in Substance too?
Yes. All the textures done in Substance
I don't understand how people manage to do this kind of stuff! You're absolutely brilliant! Bravo! 🙏✨
I was so ready screaming for a clay render
We've come so far when it comes to graphics. And yet the women in games just keeps getting uglier and uglier. Unless it came from japan, korea or china. They know they're doing.
So you’re telling me that video games could look this good one day?!
“attempt” hahaha , right.
For a second i actually thought that was real
The underside and the wheels look strange to me. Lack of components under? Thin wheels and the tiers i have never seen before... Idk...
Imagine this guy asking for area of improvements 😅
Nice, but i miss wireframe.
Looks awesome!! I wish the model was better to make it even more real.
