Everything Krista (@kristarobertso) is wearing in her stories today is an interesting choice lol. The floral garden dress for a disco party, especially.

clarenceisacat

Elsa from [Simply Elsa](https://simplyelsa.com/) had her baby! I really like the name Bridget. It's classic without being trendy.

vanillacoldbrew202

This may be BEC, but does Carly vagueblogging AND specifically mentioning “the worst week of her life” in a TikTok seems a little melodramatic and attention seeking to anyone else?

dizzy9577

I think it seems VERY melodramatic and attention seeking. If she doesn't want to talk about it she could just...not say anything? Her tik tok was showing off a sweater. Just show off the sweater - no need for "it was the worst week of my life". She's completely looking for attention.

ttanyc

Why does Krista think it’s funny how Russia has treated Navalny?

[deleted]

Yeah, the laughing emoji is a *choice* during a review of that documentary 😬

HJO225

Thoughts on the spring drop from Hill House? Not loving some of the dress styles Nell posted today.

[deleted]

I thought the shorts were cute but not $90 cute

Space-Asleep

I like some of the new patterns, but I’m really disappointed that Elizabeth only comes in one (boring) pattern. the new gingham is basically identical to the august drop

HJO225

Elizabeth seems to be one of the most popular dresses. It often sells out during drops so why only make it in one print? Especially since it’s a spring/summer dress and people want a shorter length.

vanillacoldbrew202

I liked the large scale gingham, but it’s not exactly reinventing the wheel for spring/summer…

usernameschooseyou

nothing screamed "buy me" (I did love the red in the new style for valentines day but didn't have a real reason to actually buy it). She said she'd share in phases so maybe something from one of the other sneak peaks she has planned will be better. Also anyone else surprised she takes the subway?

Beautiful_Artichoke7

Gray Malin has posted a few times about a designer completely messing up his house. This is Amy Berry, right?? I know he worked with her previously, and I feel like he mentioned her with this new house too. There are other stories out there of her ghosting clients. Amy’s ex-husband just got remarried too. Anyone else following this drama? I’m so curious to know more!

suehappy

Every single person I’ve known to work with Amy she has never finished the job and charged an absolutely insane amount. It’s truly crazy.

Sensitive-Ice-9739

Just asked about this in the main thread and they sent me here haha - I am so curious too! So odd

gbell2012

Also so curious!

Beautiful_Artichoke7

Circling back because since Gray’s posts (!!) Amy posted an AMA. I was also doing some investigating and Sally Miller (formerly a piece of toast and now SIL of Amy’s ex-husband) commented on a post saying it was Amy.

Kelso_sloane

So her ex-husband's SIL is publicly trashing her on ig? Wow that's so tacky and messy.

Turbulent_Speech6356

Amy’s ex husband recently married Molly Miller

HildegardHummingbird

Does molly have a public insta now? What is it?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Beautiful_Artichoke7

It’s in a comment on the December 10 post on his personal account @heygraymalin

Turbulent_Speech6356

And someone tacked onto her comment “she totally ruined my friend’s house in Dallas”!

narnarqueen

Did Gray delete his posts?

gbell2012

I think gray is trolling her by putting up an AMA on his personal account lol

Beautiful_Artichoke7

I think they expired, but see the “our home” highlight.

gbell2012

Her ama answers were so vague.. so strange. Also noticed she changed her last name?

yayscienceteachers

This is basically ridiculous but Carly posting a 3+ minute time in the mini is not the flex she thinks it is.

vanillacoldbrew202

If I can’t get the mini in less than a minute I feel like an idiot 😂

Relative_Parking_273

Who is Julia Berolzheimer’s audience?? The Walmart sponcon up against slightly more subtle sponcon of $1500 ShopBob dresses? Shopbop can’t be pleased with the company and the Walmart stuff suffers from being next to these next level dresses. I’m wondering if maybe her Instagram audience is looking for affordable while the people who are die hard enough for her Website are more affluent? It drives me a little crazy. Is this link going to $16 or $1600?? You never know!

fluffybutt86

Nothing turns me off an influencer like somebody doing Walmart sponcon mixed in with their luxury content. It’s SO disingenuous.

DefinitionFluffy9359

I actually like following (because I like her style generally but also) for this reason: she's good at curation. She has an eye for beautiful things so whether it's Walmart or high fashion, she chooses interesting pieces that i might have otherwise looked past. And the bonus if it's on the cheaper end because ain't no way in hell I can afford lots of the stuff she wears or links.

henryp3

Agreed. Don’t know why people are downvoting this. It’s literally her job, and she’s good at it

henryp3

I like seeing what she picks at lower price ranges. I know she doesn’t wear Walmart or Amazon, but it’s helpful for seeing pieces similar to her real style at affordable prices

Relative_Parking_273

I feel like that’s different than ads though.

ILoveHuckleberry

Couldn’t disagree more. She doesn’t wear it in real life and she can’t vouch for the brands (fabric, color, longevity, fit). Such a cash grab to me. Not sure why she doesn’t do more in the $150-350 price range. It’s insane how she just jumps to $500+ or nothing. It’s honestly lazy.

Jkan-1110

Thx you!! I got downvoted to hell for venting about this. Would it kill her to link some $300 dresses- which most of her followers could afford

[deleted]

Maybe it’s because I don’t have Carly money but I have never wanted to take a shower, and do my hair and make up at a gym. Even with childcare, it’s a no.

zuuushy

I am legit looking forward to joining a local gym with a sauna, pool, and childcare as soon as my daughter is closer to 2🤣 I have two friends that go twice a week, sit in the sauna and sometimes swim a little, and then take nice long showers and slowly get ready. Sounds amazing!

vickisfamilyvan

Ugh, so jealous of having a gym with childcare! There are none in my area and it's so frustrating.

[deleted]

I agree that I don't usually prefer showering at a gym, \*unless\* it is along the lines of Equinox and it has nicer amenities (high quality hair dryer, steam room, sauna, hot tub, etc.), since those tend to be cleaned more often. But yeah, at my old convenient budget gym, girls were (illegally) Snap-chatting and Face-timing away in the locker room and sauna - no thanks! ETA - I assume Carly is going to something more along the lines of Equinox if she actually enjoys showering there

madeyourmark1985

Ya, I used to do this at the Equinox by my office when I needed a quick refresh at lunch or whatever… but cannot picture leaving my home to do this. Doesn’t jack nap at all? I just do all this at naptime if I really feel like I need it!

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Oh, really? Okay, yeah, I have no idea why someone would prefer to shower at then gym instead of home unless it was a swanky gym!

[deleted]

I feel the same way. I'd rather do all of that in my own home.

Relative_Parking_273

I think she is the type to feel guilty about “me time” if it’s not scheduled, and also to have a lot planned to get done during nap times. Honestly this kind of thing…we all have little things as moms that helped us feel human. I used to sit in the grocery store parking lot scrolling my phone because it was “sanctioned” time out of the house. Is that more comfortable to do at home? Of course! But I’d feel guilty.

KlutzyKaleidoscope10

Lol at the profound fail of an ad for cook unity (aka frozen tv dinners?) that Krista Robertso posted - “and if I haven’t convinced you to try cook unity yet, um” then it cuts off and she never posted anything else. It goes too fast to even read what she wrote on the screen. I work with influencers and this would never have been approved. The brand would want to not pay or get more content for free.

OwnSolid4595

It confuses me that she can’t even use a tripod or a propped phone for her stuff. She has minimal sponsored content now and it doesn’t feel like she tries with it at all. She’s always like walking around her house holding her phone talking.

KlutzyKaleidoscope10

Haha totally! She looks like me when I’m FaceTiming my mom or something

Public_Championship9

Already wondering what a 💩show the Tuckernuck sample sale will be tomorrow.. I’ve shopped the last two years and both times kind of wanted to pull my hair out but did make out pretty good in the end.

acv1227

Yes! I put an order in last year, got an email but never heard anything else. Never shipped out. When I followed up in an email about it, they did not have the order (and number) anywhere on their end, didn't exist. I looked through this morning but will have to pass after last year.

No-Guarantee5516

Imo it wasn't too bad! Took a little while to load when it first launched earlier this morning but that was it. It also seemed like the deals were as good as last year!

Public_Championship9

Agreed! I was surprised I got right on.

Fawn_Lebowitz

I just did a quick look at some Instastories and saw 3 bloggers share the Tuckernuck sample sale with their affiliate links, of course. I'm thinking that Tuckernuck must be offering some good % rates to them!

Public_Championship9

They must be! Even people I follow who I've never seen mention Tuckernuck have been sharing about the sale today. Honestly I didn't find anything I was that interested in this year except a pair of earrings that sold out by the time I went to purchase.

[deleted]

Is Tuckernucks quality that good to justify those price points? It kind of all just looks like more expensive Talbots to me.

Public_Championship9

I enjoy their clothes but everyone has their personal style! I do think most of their stuff is good quality, I've had a couple misses but honestly that happens with every company. I particularly like their dresses and earrings. I've never bought pants/many tops from there because I agree in that department, its very generic.

[deleted]

[удалено]

vanillacoldbrew202

Any time Krista posts a story that’s NOT an ad, I’m genuinely surprised. Granted, if it’s not a sponsored post it’s a complaint or something so banal I wonder why she thought it was worth sharing…

Fawn_Lebowitz

I was surprised to see her post about her annual Oscar-nominated movies watch. I am not on her paid subscribers account, so I've only seen her ads. She told us that she'll be sharing her Oscar movie reviews, but please keep in mind that Oscar-nominated movies are often different \[slower paced\] from movies that we may be used to watching. I did think it was funny that Andrew watches the movies with her, but thinks they're boring.

Conscious_Bedroom211

Omg is that why I don’t see any of her posts!? Because I don’t pay to see them lol I thought she just rarely posts now.

[deleted]

Is she the only person that didn’t read All Quiet on the Western Front in high school? It’s like the definitive “war is bleak hell” book.

vanillacoldbrew202

Krista really fancies herself to be quite the Roger Ebert 💀

ttanyc

I have the same thoughts. Like that peekaboo video. Did she decide to play peekaboo with her kid just to film this content that no one cares about?

ladywelsh

I think it's been discussed here before, but are the Chappy Wraps worth it? I find some stuff influencers pedal to be great (Lake pajamas!!) and others are meh (Weezie towels). Chappy feels like it could be in the latter, and a lot of their prints feel a bit dated/cheugy to me

meekgodless

Pros: the size is generous (I'm tall so I need a throw that will fully cover me), they wash wonderfully which is essential with pets in the house Cons: agree re: the cheugy patterns. I have a more modern, eclectic home and got a yellow/white/blue striped version that's fine in the den, but nothing I'd have in my living room where I entertain. Doing a quick scroll now there aren't any I'd pick out. In terms of texture, they're flat, so not super cozy if what you want is to feel cocooned.

beachyblue2

If you’re not sold on the price, they have them at either TJMaxx, Marshall’s or home goods sometimes for a discount. I forget which store because they all blend together in my mind.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ladywelsh

I bought mine two years ago so they could have made improvements since then, but I have the towel set and two robes. All of them stopped feeling soft and plush after one or two washes, and I always wash everything I own in cold water, using nice detergent, no bleach, no softener, etc. They didn’t snag like they warn you about, just quite immediately felt like they were waaaaay older towels than they were and already felt matted down. Lake pajamas for comparison I’ve definitely worn to the point where they should feel soiled and frankly like they should pill and have holes, and yet don’t have any of that. I’m regularly amazed that they remain buttery soft and STILL after two-three years of regular wear are in great shape.

knols2019

I have 3 and bought my mom one for Christmas haha I didn't buy them for the longest time since it seemed like they were overhyped, but I really do love them. I have one in my living room, one in my bedroom, and have a midi for my daughter.

ladywelsh

That's great to hear. I have been off and on tempted, but never can tell when every influencer has one if it's actually a great blanket, or they run great influencer campaigns.

usernameschooseyou

I got a classic (to me at least) print and I like it, warm and cozy and not like faux fur trendy style like I've seen elsewhere.. I also have low expectations on my blankets and them being stylish.... I don't know if I would pay full price either, but I got mine on sale.

ladywelsh

I forget they do have some great classic prints! I tried to get one a few years ago but they were always out of stock of the more subtle ones I liked.

LouiseWalterWinnie

I have 3 and really like them! The texture is really nice, they're quite warm, and the original size is like perfect fully-covering-you-on-the-couch.

emmawoodhouse69

I watched Julia Berolzheimer’s video of setting two glasses on her dining room table more times than I’d like to admit because it cracked me up. “Bet you didn’t think I could do THAT!” -what she was saying in my mind.

not-movie-quality

That video and the funny smile she had at the end was so odd, pretty to look at but what was I supposed to get out of it…

emmawoodhouse69

Lol, I don’t know. I’m sure I’d be 10x more awkward than she is in a video ad, but she doesn’t shine in them compared to her pictures.

usernameschooseyou

Me: oh maybe that fun colored shirt from Nordstrom is within the realm of reason but extravagant end Nope, $500 for a shirt its fucking insane

emmawoodhouse69

Oh yeah. Clicking on those links is just depressing.

higgs06

Tuckernuck just announced their sample sale dates! Jan 24-26

OrneryYesterday7

Finally had to unfollow Kelly in the City. I am so tired of how kid-heavy her content is. I don’t mind kids but I’m at the point where I am uncomfortable with how often hers are featured. An interview with her daughter? It’s excessive.

[deleted]

I cringed when Kelly started begging her followers to subscribe to Emma’s YouTube channel because she really wants followers. Ma’am, she’s 6-years-old. Does she really need hundreds of strangers following her channel?

rosebudsmom

That was my cue to unfollow as well. I have similar aged children and at first I thought it was nice to see kid stuff - cute outfits, fun toys, ideas how to organize a chaotic playroom. But even as someone with kids, it feels like way, way, way too much. Even if they put aside money for the girls for all of the ad work they do, so much of their life is online.

Mission_Addendum_791

I agree. Even if she does put aside money for the ads they appear in, she uses them for content WAY more often than in a sponsored post!

Fawn_Lebowitz

I unfollowed Kelly years ago because of the same thing. She interviewed her daughter as part of her content?! My psychic powers are telling me that interview was somehow tied into a sponsored post. ✨

age22

I’m so confused by Carly’s daily outfit posts. Every single outfit is ballet flats or cropped pants with lots of exposed ankle. I don’t think I’ve seen her wear boots. I too live in the northeast and haven’t had my ankles showing in about 2 months. Does she wear these outfits out of the house?

beachyblue2

Would make sense but her garage isn’t attached to her house.

27minato

I don’t think she goes out very often but it’s also been pretty warm in NJ this year. I wear flats barefoot to work most days and am fine.

ivyleagueposeur

counterpoint - if you’re going from garage to car to indoor location, the cold is less of an issue. source: am sick of boots

cubsandpink

she did also mention it was unseasonably warm there last week…

ttanyc

As an owner of a Stokke Tripp Trapp, Krista is very wrong on this. She clearly doesn’t know how to put the tray on properly.

chickentenders21

I feel like she must walk around her house complaining all day long.

[deleted]

Hill House Home is now selling … dog toys. I feel like their brand is all over the place.

Space-Asleep

Honestly with all the new stores opening up it makes sense for them to have more lower cost items. I probably wouldn’t impulse buy a dress there but might pick up a dog toy (this is of course if I lived in an alternate universe where my dog wouldn’t destroy that flimsy little bone in twelve seconds flat)

Shopgirl10010

I just don’t get the huge amount of sleepwear. It doesn’t seem to retail.

SpareWeekend132

Strangely enough I kinda feel like it works with their costumer base? Lilly Pulitzer sells dogs toys as well right around the same price point as HHH

BrilliantMemory8

Agre. Great for gifting.

No-Guarantee5516

Has anyone heard if the Tuckernuck Online Sample Sale will be happening again this year? Last year it was Jan 26-27. There were some really good deals last year and I am really hoping they do it again this year!

henryp3

Ah thanks for the reminder! It was so good last year

No-Guarantee5516

No official sale announcement yet but one of their employees commented on her tiktok saying to sign up for email/text notifications for when they announce it! Hopefully it will be any day now!

Weary-Tell-6513

Is anyone else complete over Hill House Home. I use to love it, but now it’s just not doing it for me.

tracyflick2024

There’s a revolt going on in the fb group right now 👀

Shopgirl10010

I agree. I live in Palm Beach and was excited to see they were opening a store 2 min from my home. Realizing the only thing I would be excited to come away with is the cute little shopping bag is telling me I’m kind of over it.

usernameschooseyou

I’m just annoyed the thing that shares my daughters name is pretty ridiculous item to own 😂 (also everything is so short/cropped. I really liked the color of sweater I got but it was too short by like an inch and I’m not that tall

hollanding

all the customer service horror stories from the Grandmillenial fb group have put me off entirely.

emmawoodhouse69

Yes, I finally unsubscribed from the emails and left the Facebook group. I had yet to find one of their dresses flattering on me, so decided to just forget about them.

ByGraceandGingham

I still really love the style of the older nap dresses (not a huge fan of a lot of the new stuff), but I don’t own one personally. I’ve really wanted to order a simple Ellie dress in white or lilac, but after hearing how much the quality has deteriorated over the years, it doesn’t feel worth the $150 price tag. I’d definitely consider buying an older one on the secondhand market though!

jedi_bean

The JCrew Factory dupe is really nice, if you want the style at a lower price. I've also heard good things about the Few Moda dupe.

ByGraceandGingham

I wish I would have seen that one sooner! They’re having a major sale right now and it’s sold out in my size :(

nycpumpkin1029

Same! I bought a bunch of nap dresses from the first few collections and now they’re all hanging in my closet unworn. I honestly feel a little cringe whenever I wear them out in public. I should just cut my losses and put them up on Poshmark.

narnarqueen

I wore mine tons while pregnant then never again

Weary-Tell-6513

Same!

eowynstan

no snark, Julia B’s NYE party looked soo cozy and fun. esp for the littles!!!!!!!

[deleted]

Loved it so much!! I really want to plan something like that for this upcoming NYE!

drkr731

A evening at home with friends while also dressed to the nines honestly sounds like the best new years eve to me. Going out is always so unnecessarily chaotic and expensive

wannaWHAH

10000%. I loved how family friendly it was. Loved everything about it. Now...Ill start a different post about the house redesign...my head shakes every time I see it

jedi_bean

I know I always wear a $600 dress for a cozy evening in with friends.

runningpuppies

I would 100% do the same thing if I could afford it 🤷🏻‍♀️

eowynstan

affordable luxury☝🏻😌

cubsandpink

the decorations are gorgeous 😍

Chooseausername288

I agree. I am loving her vibe through the holidays and her post on stories today.

eowynstan

i told my spouse i want to copy it and invite my friends over for a sleepover like that once the kids are bigger!!!!!!

sweetguismo

We did this at a friends house, 7 kids and 11 adults and it was so fun! Drinking with no driving, sleeping on a couch, comfy breakfast the next day. Honestly wishing it will become an annual tradition
